Mar 17, 2012
My head lights will not go on, yet the tail lights and parking lights work fine. Even the turn signals work.

View 3 RepliesI want to be able to turn on my fog lights without having to have my headlights on too.
View 19 RepliesWhen I got into my car to drive into work this morning I found that the HSI screen was very dim whenever the headlights are on. And as I drove into work, the screen got dimmer by the minute. The problem is concentrated to the HSI screen but I noticed that the speedometer was starting to dim as well by the time I arrived to work. Strangely, the screen is perfectly fine if the headlights are off. And yes, I did make sure the display brightness was turned all the way to the Max.
View 7 RepliesI have a 2007 Prius and my driver's side headlight is out. From what I've read, the HID lights are difficult to replace. How do I tell what kind of headlight I have? I want to make sure I am getting the correct replacement bulb.
View 5 RepliesIt seems like there is water in the headlights. Both of them. Is this covered under the warranty? How can I protect them from this happening again?
View 19 RepliesI understand this can be done with a phillips screwdriver inserted to the sprockets almost like a gear.
My question is, does turning the driver clockwise move the light up or down?
Having issues with headlights burning out in their 2010 Prius??? I had my bulbs replaced at 49,000 miles and they burned out again before 55,000 miles. They both burned out within two/three days of each other. I took it into the dealership and they weren't useful at all....
View 19 RepliesI am replacing my low beams every couple months ever since I replaced my oem bulbs with Silverstars. Sometimes the bulbs last for a few months and this last time they lasted only 30 days or so.
View 7 RepliesMy headlights (mainly right, but sometimes left) would sometimes turn off by itself... if it turns off, I would then manually switch off the headlight and switch it back on (right away), and both headlights would come back on... I'm not sure what is causing this, and had thought it was a defective bulb. I went and bought new bulbs, but it doesn't seem like it's the bulbs that are causing it.
View 6 Replies2005 prius. My passenger side headlight bulb went out. so I replaced both bulbs. Now my headlight aim lower than before. I don't know why. Mines are halogen. I checked auto-leveling system, but doesn't look like anything wrong with it. So I tried manually adjusting the height, CW, CCW doesn't look any different.

View 3 RepliesDriving tonight turn on headlights, I can see they are on but the little light bulb to indicate they are on on the display doesn't show.
View 4 RepliesI have a 2007 Prius with regular (non HID) headlights. I have probably replaced them 10 times since I bought the car new. Has it been determine what the fix is so they don't keep burning out?
View 8 RepliesMy sister recently bought a 2007 Prius Package 6 with HID's. Her headlights will turn on for about 2-3 minutes then one will go out and then both will go out. If you turn off the headlights and turn them back on then they will both turn on again but only for a few minutes. What this can be? I figured it's not the bulbs since once they go out, they shouldn't come back on but I could be wrong.
View 7 RepliesWe are newer to hybrids. We purchased a used 2012 prius approximately 1 year ago. Within the past year, we have replaced the headlights approximately 6 times. Last month we replaced both front lights and tonight, out of nowhere 3 lights burnt out (both headlights and 1 bright light). It was dark outside and we live in a rural area so we had to drive 90 miles with 1 bright and the 2 day time lamps.
We maybe have changed bulbs in other vehicles once every couple of years and this is a monthly thing with our Prius. They aren't cheap so it's frustrating. My husband has been changing the bulbs and he does not touch the glass.
I have a 2012 Prius and I like the DRL to stay on even when the Headlight are on or off. Currently if Headlights are turned on the DRL turns off and I would like the control to turn DRL on or off.
View 12 Replies2 months ago while driving both headlights (low) went out. Had to drive with my high beams on to get back to the house. Next day they worked again. 2 days ago both low lights went out again. My son checked and the bulbs are fine, the fuses are fine but the voltage meter says very low voltage with high resistance. What does that mean? I know there was a class action suit for the same reason for up to the 2009 model.
View 18 RepliesI bought this car new in 2010 and it's a level IV not Four as it is a 2010. I am about to replace my headlights for the 5th time after only having had these for about 3-4 months. The dealership says that things happen but I've never owned a vehicle where the headlights are constantly going out. The first 3 times that the headlights went out, the dealership replaced them. I replaced them this last time .
I don't believe it's the headlights as much as I feel that it has something to do with the car. They went out last night as I got into the car at night and when I switched on the lights, they flashed and went out. The high beams still work but the lows do not.
I noticed tonight that my low beams are both out, and they were both working yesterday. Fuse #19, a 40A in a cluster of two 30A fuses appears fine when I look at it AND my horn and backup lights work just fine too. In the owner's manual it say that fuse position #19 controls the low beams and the horn (which is working) and the backup lights. SO, that says to me the fuse is ok because the other items are working.
FWIW, I can use the high beams, but recognize they're on a different fuse anyway. Also, I replaced BOTH headlamps with new Sylvania bulbs about 6 months ago when one of them went out. Could both low beam headlamps have burned out at the same time???? Is there some other fuse that controls them both other than the #19 fuse inside the engine compartment? Could this also be a problem in the control stalk switch on the steering console?
I have a 2011 Prius Three and one thing I have noticed is that the headlights don't last nearly as long as other vehicles I've owned. I drive 104 miles per day round trip, and I do leave my headlights on all the time but that has always been my driving habits. Thus far, I have been through 3 sets of headlamps, mostly low beam. Also low beam seems very weak, always better with the high beams on. Is it normal or might I have an electrical issue.
View 3 RepliesMy 2013 Prius v headlights are angled low. I went to the dealer who did check them but said there is nothing they can do. I find them dangerous and am constantly needing to switch from low to high beams.
