Prius (Gen 2) :: 2009 - Gas Bars Show Zero But The Tank Is Full

We just got through changing out the 12 volt battery. Car is 2009 and had 60k miles but last summer was a killer hot summer in Texas. The care was doing strange things with the first start of the day with the triangle! coming on and then having to turn off the car and power back on to get it to go. So all posts seemed to indicate bad battery. We checked diagnostics and it was showing 9 volts. So now it is changed, diagnostics shows 12 volts but the gas indicator went to nothing. no bars. yesterday it was all bars. I supposed someone could have siphoned off all my gas last night but highly unlikely and too coincidental that it shows that after the battery change. Is there something we need to reset?

I'm new to the Gen 1.
All has been well in just over a month of driving the car and about 3300 miles logged. The 12v, Aux battery was dead from the car sitting on the lot for so long (I replaced with a new OEM Toyota 12v battery) After a week of the car experiencing dim headlights, and various other electronics
No codes or CEL though.
Now that the 12v battery has been replaced, the car runs exceptionally well, aside from an intermittent fuel gauge issue where it only reads full bars (completely full) if I let the tank get to empty (Flashing single bar) or close to that. If I fill the tank from s

The computer apparently calculates the fuel economy per trip (or a series of trips if the car is stopped less than 2 hours) but I don't know how to get it to display the fuel economy for the tank full. Normally I'd reset the computer upon refilling but since it calculates per trip it doesn't calculate per tank. Fortunately the fuel gauge seems to be pretty accurate and each mark is approx 1 gal so I can do a quick approximation but I'm used to having the car do the tankful calculation. BTW, I reset on MFA 1, I've never reset on MFA 2 and that doesn't show tankful economy either.

Having trouble with the fuel level readings in their t-reg? When I fill mine up it shows as full but drops to 3/4 of a tank within 10 miles. Then it reads fine for about 300 or so miles and then drops to empty in about 20 or 30 miles. When I fill it back up it still has 6 or 7 gallons left. And yes, I am using 91 octane gas.

I have a 2009 Sonata SE 3.3 with about 35,000miles. I am the second owner.
I believe that my gas gauge or the sending unit in the tank is bad. The gauge will show empty when the tank has fuel and then it will sometimes read normal.

I like to efficiently use my regenerative braking. Proof of that is that I have 107K miles on my 2008 and haven't had a brake job yet. Referring to my 2012, on the Hybrid System Indicator Screen, there is a CHG bar. The harder you brake, the more the bar fills from right to left. When the bar is full (when braking harder) do the brake shoes offer the balance of braking power needed.
Does the CHG display indicate that much accuracy?

I've had my C a week and a half and it is doing great, but I wonder if the system is ok. It has never shown the battery at 100%. My Civic would charge all the way quite often.

I'm sure it's been asked before but why even show the gas level and claim those miles in the range. Also is there any way to tow this thing and while I'm here is there any way to use a floor jack on these.

I am a brand new Prius v 2 owner and am confused when it comes to braking. I read somewhere that when you see the regenitive charging are full in white 3 white bars that it is now using the friction brakes. Is that true? How do you know when it is using regen vs. friction brakes?

When battery is low (purple bars IN DISPLAY) EV mode is not allowed, obviously; but WHY is it not allowed when the battery is full or nearly full (green bars on display) ?

I just got my dream car, love it, but have two questions:
1. My battery icon is never totally full. Does that last bar ever show up? I doubt it's an issue, but figure if the charge is low now....
2. I've filled four times, and each time the computer shows mileage about 5% better than the actual purchase of gas calculates out. So I'm wondering if the calculation is a little high, of if my gas station is "a little off." I plan to use a few gas stations and compare the results.

I have a 2006 Prius, 149,000 miles. The gas gauge has just become stuck on 2 bars. I discovered this after attempting to fill the gas tank. I was unable to pump the gas into the tank. The pump kept clicking off immediately. I was able to slowly put about 3.5 gals of gas in the tank, but very slowly. I also tried to add gas from a gas can, and the same problem occurred: the gas would go in very slowly. I have never had the fueling problem where the pump repeatedly clicks off. I tried several gas stations that had pumps that worked for me in the past, and didn't have any luck. The fuel gauge failure and the gas pumping problem have appeared simultaneously.

I filled up my tank this morning and everything seemed fine (the tank showed full an everything). I drove 20 miles and the gauge was on 2 bars. I though that was strange so I checked for a leak, there wasn't one so I went to a nearby gas station and filled up again to make sure I wasn't leaking fuel (this full up was for about .2 of a gallon so there was not a leak). Anyway I continued to drive and I received the blinking light followed shortly by the dash board lights going off and my car using its battery power up before stopping. Now I can't put the car in "ready" mode and can't drive, it just immediately tells me to add fuel. I believe my car thinks I do not have gas, when I still have a full tank. I have to get my car towed to the dealership now, but was wondering if this is a common problem and/or is there any easy fix for this?

This has happened to me 4 times now in the 7 years I've owned my car. It happened so infrequently I thought the problem was the pump's sensor was not working properly. However now it's happened twice the last two times I've tried to fill up. On Friday my son was supposed to fill the car and could only get 1 gallon in and the fuel pump kept clicking off as if the car is full of gas. The bars never moved and I thought the problem was the pump. Then today, Sunday 2 days later, I decided to go ahead and fill it up. I have 250 miles to drive and want a full tank of gas. The tank shows 3 bars. I started fueling and it clicked off at 1 gallon. So I pulled the pump trigger again and tried to force more fuel in and it stopped and wouldn't add anymore than 1.7 gallons.
So now I have a long drive tomorrow and I can't figure out why the pump is clicking off as if the tank is full yet it can't be because I drove 250 miles since my son tried to put gas in and it's showing I have 3 bars.

I generally average north of 50mpg on a regular basis. Yet, my cruising range is always somewhere around 300~ miles for a full tank.

I picked up my new to me 2008 Touring Prius last night from the dealership (Mazda not Toyota)- happy to see the tank looked full. I started and stopped the car on two errands after picking up the car, and the gas tank still showed full.
This morning the car would not start after the first attempt, after the second all the lights came on including the red triangle, and on the third attempt the car started but the last pip is flashing.

So I'm now on my second week with this 2012 Prius and still trying to learn how to roll in it.
I filled up my very first tank yesterday (dealer gave me a full tank when I bought it) and the miles remaining display said 424 miles after I filled up. Does it display 424 on all Priuses by default?
The first tank gave me right around that many miles before I filled up - the miles remaining display said I had 9 miles left so I got too scared to see if I could go farther. But when I filled it, I only filled just under 10 gallons - does that mean there's more miles for me to drive, despite that remaining miles meter?
And...am I getting pretty bad fuel economy?

When the gas tank is full, it makes an audible sloshing noise when coming to a stop or going into a parking lot ramp. For a few days, I thought that something was loose in the rear suspension or trunk, then realized it was the fluid in the gas tank. Of course, I generally notice it only when the radio is off or low and I'm performing the above tasks and the ICE isn't running.

Since purchase, I've had one gas fill up at 694 miles. That was four or five weeks ago and it's still full. My EV ratio is 65% (1100 miles) and will continue to increase. I realize I'm carrying a lot of dead weigh for weeks. For those with high EV mode use, what's your recommendation with gas fill ups? I'm thinking no more than fives gallons for daily commute and around town.

I had less than half a tank and went to fill up before a long drive. At the gas station, the pump wouldn't let me put any gas in the tank , it kept clicking stop. I gave up and was going to try again later, however when I turned my car back on, it said I had a full tank all of a sudden.
The gauge on my dashboard isn't going down at the right speed either.
