2007 Prius is not starting. The power doors, lamps, and headlights work. 12V battering showing 13v on multimeter. When you press power button with/without key FOB in, power button shows green but car does not engage.
View 3 RepliesI have a 2007 Toyota Prius. When I press the brake pedal and press the start button the engine does not start or the wheels are not powered by the battery. It gives me the following errors:
The indicator in the Start button lights in Amber Color.
0 kmph mark is not activated in the dash board pannel.
When I shift the gears it only shifts to neutral ("N") gear.
I cant move the car forward or backward. An error message is displayed in the MFD in Japanese language. It is in Japanese and I cant read the error message.
I was playing with the settings on the Display Audio/Setup/Vehicle settings.
I turned the "Key System with Elec. Key" setting to off.
Now I cannot turn the Power on in the car. I can unlock/lock the car using the buttons on the key FOB.
But when I press the Power button with my foot on the brake, all I get is the red "no key" security indicator on the display.
Just wondering if I should be concerned. It doesn't happen every time, but it sounds like grinding of a gear or something like that. I made a video .....
View 19 RepliesRecently, my 2007 Prius will make a "BEEP" when I press the POWER button to shut down the vehicle. This doesn't happen all the time, but only 1 out of 25 times or so. Other than the beep, I can't seem to figure out what's wrong. Everything seems to work as normal.

I tried crawling under the truck to see if the mechanic didn't plug the compressor back in as he said he had to take it off to get the Alt out, but it looks like the plug is fine. Would the refrigerant have leak all out when he took it off ?. Should I try to re - charge myself with Red - tek kit from Canadian tire ?. The compressor will spin easy enough when I reach down and move it by hand but will not engage when I press in the AC buttons.
View 4 RepliesI have a 2007 nissan Altima and the sun roof is not working. It does not go back when you press the button. The vent will go up when you press the vent button on the sunroof but the sunroof itself will not go back. I have checked fuses and it's not that. Also it seems that the top of the sunroof on the outside of the car seems to be dropping down slightly on the left side. Could it be off track?
View 2 RepliesI have a 2011 Santa Fe. I had to take it in for service in April because the shift lock was not acting correctly. Since I have gotten it back, it will not honk when I press the remote button twice. It did before the service was performed. The lights flash properly and the doors are locked, but I still want it to honk sometimes. Is there something that was turned off that I can turn back on?
View 8 RepliesI woke up to a surprise this morning , the car earlier had this kinda issue where i would press the start button and it would not start and only make "Click" sound .. and after few attempts it would usually start and then this issue went away for few months for unknown reasons
Today it returned back i didn't move the car for 2 days over the weekend down here. I tried to start the car all it would do is Click sound but this time a very faint sound not like earlier where it was much louder .
I am assuming its the starter ? Where is it located ? What i read online and see could be just a bad starter selonoid .
I just noticed if I turn off the car without putting it in park it would do it automatically. Is that safe or do you always put it in park first?

View 1 RepliesToday I replaced my stock 95 Civic headlights with brighter (more white) halogen bulbs. The installation was fast and easy, however, I've noticed one problem after the installation; the remote power locks are no longer working. The car remote still flashes green when I press the button but I get no response from the power locks.
Because of this the alarm no longer activates when I lock my car from the remote. What could be causing the issue? Are the lights taking up too much power? Do I need a better battery? The lights are a big improvement from the stock lights however its very important for my car to be secure. It's been broken into twice, thieves love to target old Hondas...
I have a 2010 Prius Hybrid and lately, on an intermittent basis, I will press the brake pedal and push the start button and the dashboard lights up as normal but when I go to put it in gear nothing happens. The last time it happened the fan was running and I couldn't turn it off. It's like the car is all set to go but all the interior controls don't function. I then shut it off and restart it and everything works.

View 1 RepliesSeveral tries at power button failed. Icon on dashboard (small car image) flashing whether nor not I was in the car. Lights worked and emergency flashers worked. After many tries, called AAA. The AAA driver got in the car and it started right up and has worked ever since. Called dealer. Never heard of such a thing. What happened.

This morning, however, after driving for a short time, I pushed the power button to turn off the vehicle and it only partially shut off. The key wasn't in, so I put it in and tried again. Now it says there's no key in the ignition and still will not turn off nor turn on.
View 16 RepliesAbout 2 months ago, I had the battery replaced in the key fob just because it was over 2 years old. Today my first messages I get is "key not found". Key is in my hand. Then the next message is press start button with key fob. Finally got the car started. Is this a sign of bad battery in fob or something else?

After setting the climate to 70F, Auto, and driver controlled for all occupants, start-up volume adjusted, e.t.c, I press the "STORE" button under the user profile settings. The key has been synced.
Every time i start the car up, it maintains these settings. If I press the big round knob on my name, it goes to these settings (my name, and assigned key icon)
However, if Im driving, and lets say, i adjust the temperature to 76F, then maybe later starts to get too hot, or cold, and I want to go back to my stored setting, it does not, it just stays on the new temperature. If I change the temperature manually again (2nd time), and I press the stored setting, it goes back to the setting i just had, which should NOT be stored. It usually just ignores the stored setting.
I also noticed that you can either press the large round knob, or the bottom right tap button where it says "SELECT" for your stored settings.
2007 with 85000 miles. This noise appeaser only between 64 to 69 miles/hours, either manually pressing pedal or when crus control is on. A/C on or off. Noise goes away as soon as i let off the gas pedal. the noise is not very load it sounds like, when mechanical fuel pump stars going bad.
View 5 RepliesMy roof will not open. When I press the button, it only opens the rear trunk and could hear the roof motor unlocking functioning, but will not open. It only opens about a couple to few inches and stops. It seems tho it's going to open, but gets stuck.
