The drivers-side black plastic strip on the roof of my '07 Prius is 'missing'. Should I have a body shop take care of this, the dealer, can I do it? It looks pretty straight forward to replace, but I'm concerned about how it's molded to the windshield 'gasket', like it's one piece.
View 2 RepliesI just joined up after purchasing a CPO 2010 Prius IV. Love the car but after taking a closer look I noticed that one side of the bottom black plastic cover was drooping on one side. Upon closer inspection I noticed that there was a screw and plastic Grommet combination that was not locked into place. After unscrewing the screw, I tried to put the grommet back in place but noticed that it couldn't fit because (I believe) the white bumper portion where the grommet goes broke off. I compared it to the other side of the car and yes it does seem like part of the plastic top portion that is connected to the bumper broke off.
I inspected the bottom some more and it seems like there are a good number of screws missing and a large plastic piece that is the front tire well is also very loose.
Today when I am driving the 2007 Prius, suddenly heard some noise. I managed to come home and checked. There is a black plastic piece hanging and touch the ground, the noise was from this black plastic piece touching the ground. Attached is the picture.Is this a big problem? Can I continue to drive the car to repair shop to get this fixed?
View 6 RepliesI have a 2009 Hyundai Santa Fe, and I don't really know what the exact term for it is, but the plasticy/rubbery coating on on the window sill inside the cabin is rubbing off from what I assume to be my elbow sitting on it (seems strange).

View 3 RepliesAttached are a couple of photos. The first shows the strange black discoloration on the driver's side that is slowly growing to take over that entire corner of the bumper. Looking closely, it may be noted that some paint is missing below the (cracked) taillight. This paint is missing I believe from when we were rear ended in a hit and run while parked.

I know it's a minor thing, but I take pristine care of my Prius and I'm a self-admitted OCD.
View 2 RepliesI live in Michigan and we recently had a 8 inch snowfall. While parking my 2010 Prius it bottomed on the snow pile which took two pieces of black plastic off of the underneath front area of my car. I assume the plastic is for aerodynamics.

But when I connect the negative wire to a metal part the light turns on and doesn't turn off unless i take it off. I want to make the lights turn on when i turn on the fog lights. How can I do this / what did i do wrong. I am do this in a 2009 corolla S.

Successfully installed an engine block heater ! when I was under there I noticed an opening in the plastic that covers bottom of the motor compartment It was under what looks like the transmission on the driver side of the car . I was working through the access door to the oil filter of course. Is there supposed to be two doors under the car and one just is not been replaced ?

View 2 RepliesTwice now I have taken my 2011 Avalon to a drive-thru car wash and had the roof molding pop out of the channel. The first time I had this problem was when I went to a car wash that had large roller brushes that contact the vehicle. When I exited the car wash I saw that the driver's side roof molding had popped out. It was a quick fix to just pop it back in but of course the concern is that it could come all the ways out and be lost either on the road or in the wash bay.
So, for the next wash I took it to a "touchless" wash and when I pulled out the bay I saw that the passenger's side roof molding had popped out of its channel. So, I am guessing that since there are no brushes contacting the car that it is either the power of the blow dryer or the power of the water spray or a combination of all the above that is causing them to pop out.
Since taking delivery of my Touareg in Sept. I have, on three or four occasions experienced a loud noise that sounds like something striking the roof above the drivers side. It happened 2 or 3 times last fall and then not again until yesterday. It does not appear to be speed or weather related and obviously there is no sign of anything hitting the roof. The roof rack is correctly assembled at the rear.

View 10 RepliesNoticed that my drivers side back up plastic cover is cracked with a small hole in the top. Would like to RTV the damaged area to seal it but I need to remove it to make the repair. I've pulled some of the inner plastic on the door but can't get at the back up plastic cover.
View 1 RepliesSo it looks like my truck has a new issue. I thought I had picked up some white paint from the road, and somehow kicked it up onto the black underside of my driver's door. When I looked closer to see how I could clean it up, I realized it is actually the black coating peeling off of the white paint. What I have is exposed white body paint in a stripe on the bottom of my door. I checked it a little more closely, and there are several other areas on the door where this is starting to happen as well.

View 14 RepliesHard to describe since I'm away from the Tiguan and can't take a picture.. but I noticed that the left side wasn't tucked under, but the right side was. I'm referring to where the two glass roofs meet in the middle. The rubber seals are completely visible from the front but then are tucked under the plastic part at the middle of the sunroof.

After a heavy rain, sometimes but not always, water will drip from the front driver pillar and more recently from the roof immediately adjacent to the sunglasses holder. This happens usually after a turn or acceleration/ deceleration, i.e. when water trapped in the roof somewhere gets to slosh around. Before asking dealer to look into this (which I imagine will be expensive and not definitely rewarding),
