2007 Prius. A while back my key fob begin to fail so I replaced the 2032 battery and now it works fine except ever since the buttons on the key fob do not work.

I was getting 45.6 mpg on the trip computer. MPG dropped a couple of tenths pretty quickly. Got fuel and put in some Techron fuel treatment. Checked 12v battery, was a bit on the weak side, so I replaced it . Checked voltage and everything was good.
While I had the battery out I let the car sit for 10 minutes to reset the ecu. Now after 40 miles I'm getting 35 mpg on the trip computer, and the ICE kicks on any time I press the accelerator pedal, even if I'm going down hill from a stop.
There is no difference in driving style, tire pressures (40 front, 39 rear), I bought the fuel at a place I normally get fuel.
Received these warning lights this morning.
Just took it to a local shop and here are the codes it has thrown:
The car is running badly now -- really not wanting to drive t at all. Where I can get this fixed myself? I have no problem single charging / grid charging / balancing these things out and or replacing hopefully only "block 8" as denoted above. And yes, this is the nightmare of having you battery go out -- 160k miles right now so no chance of warranty.
I've got a 2007 Prius and the buttons on one of the smart keys no longer works. With the key in hand, I can touch the door handle and the door will unlock. I can also turn the car on without placing the SKS in the slot. However the lock/unlock/emergency buttons don't work. Everything works fine on my other SKS so I don't believe it's something with the car. I've also checked the KEY button below the steering wheel - it's out.
I've just changed the batteries on the broken SKS. Even going as far as pulling the battery out of the completely functional SKS and putting it into the broken SKS. Still, the three buttons don't work.
It seems as if the navigation system on my wives 07 Prius has failed. Basically, all of the buttons on the right side of the MFD don't work. Whenever we press the navigation button the screen goes dark green or has a striped vertical screen.

View 19 Replies I may have a problem with the lights behind the buttons surrounding the Multi Function Display on my 2013 Prius (ex. "SEEK", "TRACK", "AUDIO", "SETUP", "CAR", etc.). The other night I parked the car and turned the headlights off for about 5 minutes (I generally leave the lights on at all times when the car is running - day and night). I turned the lights back on and when I did I noticed that the lights behind the buttons surrounding the MFD were no longer functioning (so you really can't see the buttons in the dark now). My wife tells me that they've always been like that, but that just doesn't make any sense to me (I'm almost positive they were working before I turned the lights on and off). About 2 and 1/2 months ago I installed an is imple gateway so I could hook up a SiriusXM xv200, but I wouldn't think I would get a problem like this from doing that 2.5 months after the fact. A couple of questions:
1. Should these buttons light up (or is my wife correct that I'm crazy)?
2. Could the problem be the isimple gateway?
I have a 2006 Prius. For some reason I've noticed that the buttons on the steering wheel Do NOT glow and they do NOT work...
Horn doesn't work either! And the light on the driver side door (for windows/lock/unlock) are NOT lit up either...?? It's all black and dark @ night..
Is there a fuse/relay for these type of things? If so...where do I start looking?
I took off the Airbag from Steering wheel and removed steering wheel to double check everything...and everything looks good. No damage. Wires are all connected well etc.
So my battery died today and I had to take it out to to buy another. Once I replaced the battery I noticed that my one touch window up and down doesnt work. Unless I'm not remembering this but I'm pretty sure all four windows were one touch, now only the passenger side works...
Can verify that its suppose to be one touch for all four?
I have a 2006 Camry SE and the key fob isn't working when I press the buttons. I have to press it a couple times to get the doors to lock or unlock (trying to open the trunk is ). Before it took only one little press to work properly. Thought it was the battery in the fob going, so I replaced it. No luck. Is there something in the car itself that picks up the button press from the fob that could be going bad?

View 1 RepliesThe buttons on my keys would randomly not work and then hours later or seconds later it would work again. Then later it won't work. I can't seem to find the pattern but so far it seems that it will randomly work and not work. I even tried changing the battery and that did nothing. I went to the dealership but once they started working on the car it key buttons worked and they couldn't get it to not work. I can start the car and manually lock and unlock the car. The buttons just won't work at times.

View 9 RepliesI had a burned out left low beam headlight on my 2007 Toyota Avalon XLS yesterday. I have the halogen (2006) type bulbs. Today I purchased two new low beam bulbs and installed both sides new while I was at it. I had disconnected the battery and replaced both bulbs. Now the headlights (both hi and low beam) work perfectly in the auto as well as on manual mode, however my fogs lights now don't work. The fog lights worked last night prior to replacement of the low beam bulbs. So I checked for continuity of the fuse and both fog light bulbs and all were OK.
View 1 RepliesI just got a new battery installed from Walmart for my 2007 Avalon. After replacing the battery I am experiencing a wide variety of electrical problems. The car starts fine that's not the problem. Here's a lost of all of the problems:
Navigation display now goes I wired directions...it used to follow the direction the car was going
Passenger window does not work at all
Driver side window works but the auto function does not work
Sun roof auto feature does not work so you have to hold the button the whole time as opposed to just pressing it once
What could have caused this?? I haven't tried cleaning the terminals or anything yet.
how to fix this or test them ? could it be a fuse ?
View 10 RepliesHaving problems with their radio buttons sometimes working, sometimes not? I'm wondering if I need to "pop off" the buttons and clean contacts or if I'm going to have to replace the radio. This is in a 2008 Saturn Aura, but I'm sure this radio is in other GM cars.

View 5 RepliesI have an issue with my 06 GS430.
This all started this morning when I first started the car. The clock does not display, all of the buttons to the left, right, and bottom DO NOT work (this is NOT good because I cannot control the climate, turn on a/c, heater, NOTHING) navigation touchscreen works (but again navigation push buttons to the right of the screen do not work).
So, the only thing that works is the Radio and the Navigation touch screen! Also, all of the push buttons surrounding the navi screen do not illuminate at night when lights are on.
Things I have done:
-Checked fuses (IG)10A ECU-IG RH, (ACC) 7.5A ACC, (BAT) 7.5A TV, RAD 1,2,3
-Hard Reset - Disconnected Neg. Battery Cable for 20 min.
Is there anything else that I can check for or is my entire Navi Console Unit shot?
Came out one morning went to start car, daily driver, 180k, completely dead. Figured since battery was never replaced went to Toyota and got a new battery. Left on vacation came back 3 weeks later, installed battery, went to start car and still completely dead. No dome light, no brake lights, no head lights, no anything.
Checked battery, full charge under load. Tried to jump start (correct polarity) using my 4x4 Dodge Ram 2500
Never had a single issue, warning light etc. I am going to get my multimeter out on Monday and check the visible fuses.
I just got a 2004, it did have a bad 12V battery which I did replace, still not charging.But First it is making a loud noise under the hood sounds like towards the right side.when I accelerate starts at 18 to 20 miles per hour. Tried sitting still with car in gear and pushing accelerator can not get it to make the noise that way, without the wheels rotating.
