My 2005 has an intermittent headlight problem. The drivers side headlight goes out intermittently when it rains.. That is, it does not blink on and off just that sometimes it goes off and sometimes it doesn't. As I live in Phoenix Arizona this does not happen often but it has been happening for a year or so. I go looking at all the connections, where ever they are.
View 1 RepliesMy 2006 Prius (Model NHW20) has a strange headlight problem. On the passenger side, the high beam light is out but the regular headlight works.
On the driver side, the high beam is working but the regular headlight is out.
I don't think it's the fuses but I'm not sure. No amount of interchanging the following fuses changes anything about the issue:
1. 10A H-LP HI RH
2. 10A H-LP HI LH
3. 15A H-LP LO RH
4. 15A H-LP LO LH
I have a 2005 Bonneville. Just recently the doors will lock and unlock on their own. The controls(windows/mirror) and lock on the drivers side works intermittently. The window and locks on the passenger side work correctly. At least I haven't found a time they don't work. Coincidentally, things started acting up after the drivers side widow was left open and a little rain came in. I have removed the mirror/window control panel from the drivers side, unplugged the connector, cleaned and put electrical grease on the contacts.. I did the same thing with another connector I could reach inside the door panel.

I bought it... took a quick look and couldn't see how to get to it - so I put it away for the night...Now I see on here there is some sort of "bulb issue" with Toyota?
Why when it rains my rear seat on the driver side of my 2007 camry se is soaking wet on the outer edge of the seat and outside edge of the backrest.
View 11 RepliesMy driver side headlight is out in my '08 touring (HID) I bought replacement bulbs on Priuschat recommendation. Swapped that one out, no change. Is the ballast next on the list?
Also, this may be a coincidence. But that headlight assembly seems to be a bit leaky. After a rain a fair amount of condensation gets in there.
My driver side low beam headlight keeps blowing out. I have changed bulb 4 times so far. Why this is happening?
View 13 RepliesFor the last 5 days my passenger headlight has been out so i switched on the brights to other drivers dismay because the brights worked it seemed, shortly after my drive home they went out too. So my drivers side is working fine, turn signals working fine.
(FYI these are not HID Headlights they are base model regular headlights)
Today i spent a painful 20 minutes taking out the bulb and replacing it, showed light wear but didn't seem burned out (i replaced it anyways) PS i made sure not to touch the bulb to my skin as that usually results in a burn out.
The one thing i did notice was the wire connector that goes over the 3 prongs from the bulb itself was a little worn out and had some black around the edges.
I am having the headlight problem on my 2006 prius (and have seen thousands of posts about it). The drivers side goes in and out and has done so for 6 months. But now the passenger side is doing the same and the 12 volt outlet fuse has blown. There are 133000 miles on it (nothing done to the vehicle except oil changes and new tires) Replacement bulbs from eBay are on the way. I have replaced the fuse and its ok now. I don't know if they are unrelated or if this a battery issue.

View 2 RepliesHave a 05 Explorer and every time it rains, water gets in and soaks the front passenger side floor. It only happens after it rains and happens even if it is not driven. I am pretty sure there is a drain line plugged up someplace from the cowl, just not sure where it is. The toe kick seems to stay dry but the floor gets soaked.
View 4 RepliesOn my 2007 SC 430 I have a passenger headlight that appears to have a mind of its own. It works intermittently. I know that it is programmed to go off when the car is in park, but that is not what I'm talking about. When I start the car after dark both sides will be on but at some point the passenger side will go out, not all the time, but quite often. I have checked for loos wires but have not found any.

View 6 RepliesI dropped off my 2012 Passat to the dealer this morning because the driver's DRL was out and the passenger headlight was out. Normally I'd change bulbs myself and be on my way but since this is new and under warranty, I let them do the work.
Anyway, fixed the DRL (bad bulb). But the passenger headlight assembly needs replacing. Seems I have fallen victim to a melted housing causing a failure. I've read about the situation somewhere here on the forums and suspected it might be the case. So VW is 2-3 days out on getting a new part and I'm in a loaner for the time being.
I'm guessing this happens a lot with this part. I wonder if VW will issue a recall in the future.
Yesterday my drivers side headlight was real dim and it was like a purple hue, today it is completely out and I got the light warning on the dash. My R has 23K on the odometer.
View 9 RepliesI just bought a 2005 Prius a couple days ago and have spent the weekend discovering "hidden" little issues. One was that after a heavy night a rain there was a small pool of water in the very back of the car underneath the cargo area near the wire that runs from the traction battery. In fact the little prongs holding a slim white (electronic) box connecting to the battery were rusted out.

View 1 RepliesA few weeks back I started noticing the driver's side headlight would go out when I started up the car after work. If I drove it around & restarted about 10 mins later, the headlight would come back on, got sick of that after a week so I replaced the bulb and the same thing happens. It happens only when I leave work, any other time it's fine, even went on vacation for a week w/out any probs. The only thing I can think of is the heat from sitting out on the parking lot all day does something, what might be going on?
