View 4 RepliesDaughter just called (2010 Prius) and said that someone told her that a headlamp is out. Is there not a bulb failure indicator on the dashboard?
View 19 RepliesMy "bulb out" dashboard indicator came on and after checking all lights I could not find a burnt out bulb. I took the car to the local dealer and they told me the "bulb failure relay" was bad and needed replacing. I decided to try and replace it myself but so far I'm not doing to good.
I found this picture on another website and also read that the realy is permantly mounted to the relay board. Also, when I looked at pictures of the replacement relay they lok nothing like the original.
So now I'm wondering how the heck do you take the old relay out and get the new one in that doesn't at all look like the original?

The little mark on the control knob to select air flow is unlit at night with the headlights on in my 2007 Camry LE. Apparently there is a bulb in there somewhere which needs to be replaced. How to change that bulb and get an indicator at night so that I can position the knob in the correct position?
View 1 RepliesI have been to the dealer 3 times so far because of something to do with the lighting system. The MFD says "AFS Inoperative" and the indicator light flashes for bulb failure or malfunction in the adaptive front lights system.
The dealer has replaced a bulb and power module thus far, but it hasn't fixed the malfunction. The indicator light and warning comes on 4 out of 5 times I drive the car and usually within the first few minutes of driving. It occurs with our without the lights on.
The lights do work at all times, but I don't think the adaptive steering/lighting is working when the error occurs.
Just bought a 2005 accent yesterday. I new the bulb was gone, when I lifted the bottom noticed that the battery is so close to the lights I can't get my hand down there. Do I need to remove my battery to replace this bulb? Also what is the model # of the bulb?
View 2 RepliesI was changing out the little parking light bulbs outside of the housing with led bulb and it fell into the housing of the headlights!! Wow my luck do I have to remove the whole bumper to get this bulb out of the housing?
View 6 RepliesIs there a headlight indicator on the dashboard? I do not see one (if my headlights are on, some kind of lighted indicator).
View 1 RepliesI have a Hyundai Sonata 2011. The light switch in the steering is giving problems. After I turn on the head lamps and drive for 15-20mins. While driving, giving traffic light indicator, the head lights sometimes goes off for a second and comes up again.
View 3 RepliesAll of a sudden I have only one light (Driving lights)) on the dashboard. I used to have two. I have the Driving Light indicator showing but the headlight indicator light is not lighting up.
The headlights come on OK but not the indicator showing the headlights are on.
I have a 2006 Dodge Charger that has a problem with the headlights and brake lights. When the brake light indicator inside the car comes on by itself, the headlights shut off and the heater will not shut off when its on and when this happens, then the signal lights blink real fast like a bulb is blown. This has been happening often. I haven't been able to drive at night. Checked with my mechanic and he couldn't figure it out.
View 8 Replies1993 Honda Accord LX (263,000 miles). My headlight indicator alarm does not activate when I turn off the engine with my headlights on. I have looked at all fuses. Problematic in the morning after sun rises and can no longer see the headlights .... dead battery.
View 6 RepliesHow to replace low beam bulbs? all info i found was talk about whether they were covered under warranty or not? I got extended maintenance warranty to 100k miles, but bulbs, I don't think so. I just noticed today that both were out on low beam, high beam are fine. Should I take car to dealer? or is this something I can do myself?
View 3 RepliesI have had 5 bulbs burnout in 2 months. I'm not touching the bulb and I am using grease. I've tried the higher end sylvania bulbs and they still don't last. What might be causing this?
View 12 RepliesI am not sure if I should be worried but I noticed that my left headlight and my right left tail light have both gone at about the same time.
View 3 RepliesI wanted to replace the bulbs in my map light but ran into some problems. I was able to remove the first see-through plastic cover on the light. Also I was able to twist one of the bulbs out of the socket so it was loose but there didn't seem to be a way to pull the bulbs out of their metal holders. I tried with medium to light pressure on the right side bulb and it slipped from my fingers and jumped back into the area on the other side of the metal holders. Now I can't see it or reach it. What do I need to remove to retrieve the bulb and how do I remove it?
View 6 RepliesI have seen many mods to headlights in the 2012 Prius, many of them have upgraded to HIDS and what not. My question is the little bulb in the top of the headlight housing i see is like a blue or LED color, yet i cannot find anything about them anywhere. Love the look and would match my HID kit once i get installed this weekend......
View 19 RepliesI have a 2005 prius. The low beam bulb on the passenger side had a flash the other day and wouldn't be turned on any more. I changed bulb, fuse. It still doesn't work. The high beam on this side and the low and high beam on the other side are fine. I noticed the socket to this bulb is kind of fried. I check the voltage. It shows zero.
View 4 RepliesThe passenger courtesy (in the bottom of the door) light bulb went out and I replaced it, and it still doesn't work. The same bulb works fine the driver side location. So i'm looking for the fuse, and can't locate it, anywhere. All the other lights and door functions work.
View 2 RepliesAbout a month ago I replaced both of the main headlights in my Gen 3. I've noticed since that the light from both seemed a little skewed and thought maybe I didn't lock them back in fully. i finally checked them today and was able to get the left side light straightened out, but when I went to check the right hand (passenger) side one (which isn't working again), i realized that it must have come out.
Essentially the light bulb is shattered/exploded and it melted part of the cable next to it, and is now stuck to that cable. Besides being partially melted, the cable also has some exposed wires. i don't know what those wires do, but I can't imagine it's a good thing to leave it exposed next to a live circuit from the headlight.
See the attached picture. What that cable is that melted and if it's possible to replace it myself, or do I need to take it in?
So I bought two new HID bulbs for my 2007 prius. Mostly it had been the left one that turned off after a while. So i put a new bulb in and it goes out after about 10 seconds. So i put the other new bulb in and it goes out after 10 seconds too.
