Does the cruising range in the drive information screen NOT reset unless you fill the gas tank ALL the way up?
I just threw in a few bucks (well it's a Prius after all) and it still showed 0 as the range.
My info screen will display all info but the clock will reset over and over and the. Buttons will not respond?

Been driving around a lot trying to empty the gas tank in my new Prius and was wondering what the "Cruising Range" figure actually represents. Do the miles listed mean I have that many miles left until the tank is bone dry, or is that the range until the tank gets to the warning light?
View 12 RepliesThe Navigation touch screen does not work. I can still us controls on the steering wheel, bu the touch screen is dead. I am assuming that I just buy and install a new screen? Or could there be something else to trouble shoot?

View 1 RepliesOk, had the prius c four for a few months now. What is up with the gas gauge? When I get down to one rectangle my cruising range drops to like 9 miles. I got gas and put in 8 gallons, which means I had 1.5 gallons still. Why is it showing such low cruising range mileage? Looked through the manuals by couldn't find anything useful. Also, is there a way to see exactly how much gas you do have? The rectangles seem a bit arbitrary to me when it comes to representing an actual amount of gas?
View 13 RepliesJust got a new 2012 Prius II today. Got in the car with my iPod "splitter" cable adapter (on one end it has the ipod connector and on the other end is the USB & Auxillary cables), my 6th gen ipod nano, and hooked it up only to find that the Audio info was not connecting to the screen. I found that you do not need this "splitter" cable, all you need is your ipod adapter. You can use the that auxillary cable for a Walkman or something ! Glad, I figured it out the first day or i'd be pissed trying.

In my experience from my previous vehicle. When my gas light would come on, I believe it generally meant that I had 2 gallons left in the tank before stranded.
My '05 Prius with just 16k miles on it just started displaying the red triangle with exclamation mark (multifunction warning lamp?). It displays about every 3 times I start the car... The Info screen shows the icon for the Automatic Headlight Leveling System. So Ive been searching, and have found a few threads related to this, but the fix Ive seen referenced I cannot find since the posts referencing the fix are about 5 yrs old. Exactly where on the car I can find the sensor, and how it can be fixed?

The info screen said "Pop up hood error", I asked the salesman about it and said that the car needs preparation and be reset....
I want to believe it but my mind is taking my opinion that something triggered the pop up hood pedestrian protection... maybe a little hit? I don't know.... and maybe the salesman is being honest and it is normal.
The bumper is all ok, no signs of damage, (the car arrived yesterday and my girlfriend went to take a look).
We picked a NGP IS250 AWD F-Sport yesterday and can't find a way to see traffic info on the navy screen. I can scan for traffic stations on the HD radio but nowhere do I see that option.

GS 430 2006 - 6 months old-
Filled up today while on a 200 mile trip and the car, with a full tank, says 240 miles left.
If I have an 18 gallon tank, that would be about 13.3 miles per gallon when I am averaging above 20 on the highway.
Does the GS not recalculate this and update it or does it use a standard MPG? Is there some way to adjust this?
Just bought a used 2012 IS-F 1-owner with 37k miles. Clean Carfax and AutoCheck - very, very clean car.
Test drove it with my wife, fell instantly in love, and signed the paperwork. As part of the dealer delivery, they gave a full tank of gas and washed/waxed the car.
While enjoying the 8 mile drive home in 5:00 traffic, regular speeds of 40-50 mph without any start/stop on the freeway and surface roads, I noticed that the range (distance to empty) on the full tank was only 169 miles!
I realize this is a hi performance V8 - but c'mon! Is there something wrong with the car?
Setup my Reese brake controller on my 2011 today. The lights, turnsignals, and brakes work when I push the brake pedal. But when I move the lever on the controller, I get nothing. Also, on the info screen, it still says trailer disconnected. What gives?
View 5 RepliesJust took delivery of my 2005 SC430 (Egyptian Sand, white leather, 55k miles. Lovely vehicle.) which I thought came with Bluetooth.
However, when looking to pair my iPhone 4S the 'Phone' icon is not present on the ML Nav Info display screen, suggesting that maybe Bluetooth is missing? I confirmed it's a 2005 from the VIN.
When I depress the little button below and behind the steering wheel volume buttons (left side - this is a US car) I get a voice saying 'No cassette inserted' or words to that effect, suggesting it's a cassette control button, not a Bluetooth one. The Nav instruction book which came with the car specifically refers to the presence of Bluetooth.
How to find if I have Bluetooth or not? My iPhone cannot 'discover' anything.
Yesterday morning my wife's JSW TDI wouldn't stay on after starting it. The screen kept displaying, "Key not in range". I swapped keys and every one of them did the same thing. It doesn't have keyless start, so it's not that. It would start then shut off like an immobilizer issue. I disconnected the battery terminal and reconnected it and that fixed it...for now. I did some research and everything I've found said the cluster needs replaced. I made a video of the display and the car shutting down.
View 2 RepliesI have a 2007 GX470. My range indicator was showing 34 miles left. I filled up the tank and at first my fuel guage still showed E and range was showing 34 miles. I shut off the car and the fuel gauge started showing a full tank but my range still showed 34 miles. As I drove, the range decreased to 0 and it is still showing 0 for the range. How can I reset this so that it will show the correct range? I asked the dealer if there is a reset for it and they said you can bring it in and we can diagnose it for $100.
