View 2 RepliesI need to select AC on when running in the automatic mode. I get from the manual that when I select Auto the system will maintain the selected temperature.
View 18 RepliesI have a 2010 Prius and I leave the climate control on. When I start the car the AC will only work sometimes. I can run errands, where I make 5 stops shutting the engine off each time. It will be hotter then heck in the cabin and after starting the car the ac won't blow air out the vents. Sometimes I can shut the car off and restart it and then the AC will turn on. When it actually blows air, it's nice and cold. If the car is on and the AC won't work, I will turn down the climate control to the coldest setting and it still won't come on. But the next time I start the car the AC might work fine. To me, it seems like a relay or something electrical isn't turning the ac on when the car is turned on. Or maybe the blower motor is getting stuck.
View 16 RepliesI just bought a 2007 and my Multi Information Display does not work properly on the climate control screen or information screen. ie when you press temp up or down buttons it sometimes works and when you want to change the fan speed and press medium it goes to low. On the information screen no matter what you select it goes to Trip information screen. However the Audio screen works perfectly.
View 3 RepliesI need to remove the automatic climate control module on my Touareg 2004, but I can't seem to get it to release. I have removed the radio and the metal frame to which it attaches. I have also disconnected all the electrical connectors from the climate control unit. Still no luck. The climate control unit doesn't move up, and when I try to pull it towards me it appears to be locked by something as it only comes out a tiny little bit.
View 1 RepliesRecently noticed that the automatic climate control on my 2006 Sonata stopped working. The temperature readout still shows desired interior temperature but nothing happens when dial is turned all the way up or down. When in manual mode, the heater fan will adjust faster or slower when dial is turned so I still get heat/ac but only by dialing manually. If I switch to automatic mode, the fan will operate in whatever setting it was in when in manual mode. What part do I need to replace in all likelihood and how hard is it to replace?
View 1 RepliesI have an Elantra GT SE with automatic climate control. I would like to know if there is a way to disable the automatic A/C on/off with our system. The problem is that even if the air is cooler outside, the air conditioning is automatically turned on and the fuel economy drops. (I know that we can do this for the base model (to turn off air conditioning while using the defroster).
View 7 RepliesI was wondering if it would be just a plug and play to exchange manual a/c controls to automatic climate control thingie. Id expect CAN coding but im just wondering if i could just bolt on and code or is there way much more to it like additional control module and what not .... maybe even not possible at all.
View 2 Repliesi have a 01 b5 GLX 2.8L with the automatic climate control, well on occasion my temp will be reading fine than all the sudden drop to -36 degrees in 4 degree increments. when this happens my ac thinks its cold outside so it stops blowing cold air and blows hot air. i have to let the car sit with the ignition off for 15 min before it will reset. Is it my temp sensor that's bad and if so where is it located at?
View 10 RepliesWhat all would be involved in swapping from regular ac controls to automatic climate control like the lariats have on a 2015 xlt superduty?

View 11 RepliesNow that the summer has finally arrived the southern Finland I found a problem with my climate control. When the car gets hot from the sun and the climate control starts cooling it takes up to 2 minutes until I get cold air from the vents. It doesn't matter if I let it run on the AUTO-mode or that I turn the temperature all the way to the LOwest position with full "thrust".
I checked the service history of my car and the AC has been serviced and filled last summer. (the basic fast service method). I didn't want to service it again since I'm afraid that all that money would have gone to waste. I haven't found any leaks tho. The radiator is pretty beaten up from all the debris and road salt tho.
Have an 07, currently i have the dash all apart and replaced the climate control unit because the blower wouldnt work. Plugged it in and it tested it. Still no blower. What more do i need to check?
View 2 RepliesI know this is a weird post but I am looking for a climate control head unit that does not work. I need the silver covering plate that is part # 55901-24030 that is not damaged.
View 8 RepliesFrom time to time, climate control will stop working. Buttons are not lit up or responsive, fans do not work, and computer doesn't show outside temperature. Problem can last a day, an hour, 10 minutes, or any other time frame. Most of the time once it stops working it will not start working until left parked and locked overnight. Sometimes when we start driving it would all of a sudden start working on its own. This has happened during multiple seasons and multiple weather conditions.
I took the car to Lexus dealer who decided it would be a smart idea to replace the whole climate control unit in the dash, well this past weekend the problem occurred again with brand new climate control unit in place.
My 2005 Ford F-150 Lariat 4x4 5.4l V8. the climate control system will not let me lower the fan speed or let me change the airflow direction. and my heated seats will not work as well.. i looked at the fuse it was good.. and un-plugged the battery for 3 minutes.
View 2 RepliesRX450h Climate Control ... This is annoying and all my riders complain about the A/C Auto mode on this car. Here is the issue in Auto Mode with the inside temp set at 72 degrees, and the outside temp is cold anywhere from 55 to 65 degrees the A/C always blows cold air into the car. I can never get heat to flow into the car. The manual says that auto controls the a/c flow, fan speed, and vents like auto in almost every car. What is wrong here? The A/C is always on blowing cold air regardless of the temperature set inside the car. To me it seems that the temperature setting for both passenger and driver do not work.
View 12 RepliesI have a 2008 LS360L with 4-zone climate control. For whatever reason, the rear seat controls and display do not work for climate control. The controls still work for radio, rear seat adjustment and window shades, but climate functions are unoperable.
Additionally, the 4-zone buttons on the nav touchscreen are now missing in the climate menu. There used to be left / right passenger settings and then a button to switch to rear seat settings. These options have all disappeared from the menu.
I can press the 4-zone physical button on dash and manually change temperature settings for driver or passenger by pressing physical driver / passenger temperature up / down buttons.
The only thing I can attribute to this is I had the dealer do a map upgrade to the nav system. All other features / functions work, but the timing is somewhat suspect... They really do not believe this upgrade caused the problem.
Are there hidden menus I may have hit to deactivate this feature?
Just purchased a 2008 F250 V10 Crew Cab with 64,000 miles. The truck has some electrical issues that didnt show up during the test drive/inspection. It seems that the HVAC head unit causes some interesting things to happen. The most obivous problem is that when you turn the climate control on and turn the fan speed up the CC will not work. If you turn the fan off but leave the HVAC control on CC starts working. At this point you can turn the fan speed back up and everything stays working. Not sure if its related but it also has the printer noise going on behind the dash which Ive read is the one of the blend door actuators going bad and the keyless entry pad will not accept a personal code(everything else works on it, factory code, lights up, two button lock). Any checks?
View 1 RepliesRecently my Climate Control System on Gen 3 has been misbehaving. A few weeks ago, I could not get cold air out of the AC, and then just as quickly as it stopped working, it started working again. Then yesterday, I started noticing coolant temps on the Scan Gauge rising to 215 - 220 F, which seemed quite a bit higher than the 195 limit I had set for operating with grill blocking, so I turned on the Heater and brought it down to 195, and when I got home, I checked and the coolant level seems OK, and it was under pressure.
View 6 RepliesLast November I had a left front end collision with another car. The other driver was at fault and their insurance covered everything. The car was in the shop almost 2 months.
Now it seems back to normal except the climate control randomly shuts off every so often. I usually leave it on Auto. After the car has been off overnight or sometimes just a few hours, I notice the climate control is off. After turning it back on, the temperature setting has been reset to 75. It happens about once a week. Doesn't seem to be related to outside temperatures.
Should I take it to the dealer for a check or back to the body shop? The body shop offers a lifetime warranty, but I doubt they could diagnose something intermittent like this.
