I'm having troubling pairing a phone to the Bluetooth system. I worked fine with my plain-jane Sprint cell phone as well as my kid's iPod. However, when I pair my wife's phone the car's phone system does not see the device after a few seconds.

View 2 RepliesI just got the Droid X and it paired easily with my 2010 prius and I can play my music folders over the blue tooth connection in the audio/nav. system. But, it will not transfer my phone contacts.
It will go through the motions like its going to happen and then I see the words attempt failed.
I get my iPhone 5 paired with my car for calls and music but not for messages. Is there a trick to doing that?

View 5 RepliesI bought brand new 2013 Camry SE yesterday night..it has been just 15 hours since I bought it..today morning when I tried to pair my phone with car multimedia system...it showed the screen that it is connecting and the little circle on the top right was moving in circle as if it was trying to connect and all of a sudden it just got hang up...right there....its not going any where...now.
Is there a way to reboot this multimedia system (just like you can reboot computer or phone)..??
I tried turning car on-off...tried setup -default on bluetooth settings etc...but no luck.
I had to replace my 12 volt battery a few weeks ago. I'm also having issues with my samsung galaxy s4. For the last 2 to 3 weeks the phone in the car won't connect and the bluetooth is not working. Is it the car or is it the phone? If I uninstall the phone and reinstall it does connect but there's no guarantee that it will the next time.
View 5 RepliesWe have a 2010 IV and a 2012 pip. My Android phone will pair and connect with the 2010. It pairs with the 2012, but the 2012 will then say "Connect Failed" when my phone is selected. My wife has an iPhone which pairs and connects to both cars. My phone uses Bluetooth 4.0 profiles. And after pairing I've limited it to telephone audio only. I've deleted and repaired countless times with the same result.
View 2 RepliesI've had my new 2013 Model 3 for a whole week now and I love everything about it except for one thing: The Bluetooth will connect to my phone (Galaxy S3) and will play music from it, but it ignores the fact that all of the songs are in different folders. It treats all the music as if it is in a single folder and will let me move back and forth alphabetically or randomly, but I can't play a particular album. There should be controls at the bottom of the touch screen but they are grayed out and inaccessible.

View 7 RepliesI have a 2013 plug-in Prius with 14k miles. I am experiencing intermittent issues with NAV/Bluetooth system rebooting. I even took a video to show the Toyota service rep. I have an iPhone 5 running iOS 6.1.2 and I am jailbroken. I'll be driving along, maybe on the phone, maybe not. Intermittently and with no warning--poof--Bluetooth disconnects and the nav system reboots.
View 19 RepliesI recently posted that I was purchasing a low mileage 2007 Gen2 and had been told it was a base model. Actually, the seller was clueless about the options and had only had it for 3 years. Didn't know what a "Package/Type" was.
Before I got out of the driveway I discovered it did have the backup camera. However, as I began reading through the owners manual (my first operational Gen2, with a manual) and programming the radio and a few other features, I discovered that this was a Type 1 with backup camera. But soon discovered from the display and steering wheel that it lacked the Blue Tooth and Hands-Free ability. Something I have been wanting. I could live without the Nav System since I have a good system on my tablet that I take with me from vehicle to vehicle. Not sure how good the Gen2 Nav System is but have used it on my sons 2010 Gen3. Seemed ok but I'm hearing that you have to subscribe to the Nav software or is that just for updates?? Or is it just a couple CDs that I need to find??
Now that I have learned a little more about these systems, I looked at the two other Project Gen2s that I have and discover that a 2007 tired old (300k+ miles) Yellow Cab has both Nav and Bluetooth.
So, the obvious question is, are these Gen2s all prewired for the Nav System and Bluetooth and aside from the transfer of the Nav ECU from one vehicle to the other.
I have an iPhone 5S and whenever I plug it in to my car it automatically switches to the iPod input and starts playing tracks in alphabetical order, though sometimes it remembers to continue playing whatever I had playing on my phone before. This is rather annoying because I'd rather the car stay in whatever input mode I had it, and if I do switch to iPod or Bluetooth, I want it to *always* remember to play what I was playing before, even if it's Pandora and not "iPod" music. Is there a way to configure the JBL system to do this? Or at the very least stay in its current input mode until I manually switch it?
View 3 RepliesI have a 2007 RX 350. I just recently started using bluetooth. It was working well and then all of a sudden I have an issue after a call. I hang up my phone, but the screen still shows that it is talking; although, no call is being made. I have to stop and start car to get it to clear, so I can start again. However, it will only work once and then it still won't hang up.
View 12 RepliesJust took delivery of my 2005 SC430 (Egyptian Sand, white leather, 55k miles. Lovely vehicle.) which I thought came with Bluetooth.
However, when looking to pair my iPhone 4S the 'Phone' icon is not present on the ML Nav Info display screen, suggesting that maybe Bluetooth is missing? I confirmed it's a 2005 from the VIN.
When I depress the little button below and behind the steering wheel volume buttons (left side - this is a US car) I get a voice saying 'No cassette inserted' or words to that effect, suggesting it's a cassette control button, not a Bluetooth one. The Nav instruction book which came with the car specifically refers to the presence of Bluetooth.
How to find if I have Bluetooth or not? My iPhone cannot 'discover' anything.
Can Display Audio's phone interface accept pauses or waits (P or W) in the phone number? My phone uses them for voicemail passwords, eg dial the number, pause a few seconds, and then dial the password. So far it does not work at all through the bluetooth interface when initiated through voice command ("call xxx xxx xxxx pp yyyy#") or through the car's screen. I tried to directly store a similar number into the Display Audio "stored" numbers but could not find an option for the P pause.
View 6 RepliesI noticed that when I active BT on my phone it connects to my cars phone BT automatically. But has a harder time when I try to connect to the portable audio player to stream music. I have to turn off the BT on my phone and turn it back on and then hit the "connect" button for the audio player and it works. Then I have to go back to the phone screen and hit connect again.
View 6 RepliesWhen I am listening to songs from iPhone there are buttons on my head unit (C2 radio NOT nav system) for play/pause, fwd, rewind BUT the rewind and fwd buttons only forward through the song it's playing (like you used to be able to do with cassette tapes) and it does NOT skip to the next song. How stupid is that? I have never seen a digital audio player that did this, the fwd/rewind always skip back a song or fwd a song BUT the prius head unit only skips through the song itself.
