I have a 2010 Prius V-ATP with remote keyless entry. When I open the driver door the rear doors do not unlock. When I open the front passenger door, the rear doors do unlock. I would like the driver door to open all 4 doors too. Is this normal operation?. Is there something I can do to fix it or do I have to take it to the dealer?

View 3 RepliesI have my doors set to unlock when I open the driver door. sometimes they do not unlock, there is no rhyme or reason for it, just it gets a wild hair and they don't unlock, drive to the next location and it works as advertised.

View 2 RepliesI have a problem with my '08 driver's door lock. Essentially, the doors will all lock just fine using FOB, door buttons, etc, and all doors except driver's door will unlock using smart key features, fob, etc. However, if I want to unlock the driver's door I have to insert and turn the key. It feels a little stiff but it might not be any different than before as I rarely used this feature before. There was a period of about a week where it would fail intermittently before it began to fail consistently.
It just got warm out here in MD, not sure if that might have made a difference. I popped the rubber door plug out to lubricate it the lock mechanism with some silicone spray and also sprayed some in the lock itself, but it did not make a difference.
I am trying to avoid an expensive repair, but I am not really up for a complex replacement of the actuator motor - and it seems like the motor must be working anyway if I can lock the doors. I have not done anything in the latch area, just near where the key goes.
I would like all the doors to unlock when i open the drivers door. The manual is a little confusing on how to do this or if you can.
View 9 RepliesToday I took the car in for the 15k service, I asked them to reprogram the car so that when I touch the driver door handle it would unlock all 4 doors. I went to my car this afternoon and this did not happened as I wanted.
View 19 RepliesDriver's door can't be opened. This 2005 Kia Optima EX has power door locks. It does NOT have rods that you can manually pull up to open it or push down to lock it. There are two ways to lock on unlock all the doors....with rocker switch on the driver's armrest or by pushing or pulling a small "button" located under the inside door latch to lock or unlock the door. When the driver's door gets stuck in the locked position I can hear the electric "actuator" inside the door panel as they lock or unlock the doors.
Using the "button" under the inside door handle doesn't work but if I rock the rocker switch from lock to unlock while my wife pulls on the outside door handle the door will eventually come open. The driver's lock/unlock button is operating incorrectly. When the rocker switch is pressed down to open the door, the button moves all the way back but then moves about about an eighth of an inch forward. The right side door buttons don't do this....they move all the way back or to the open door position and stay there. So, is the actuator in the door bad, is the rocker switch bad, or does= some electrical device, (a solenoid?) etc, bad that is not even located in the door?
I have a keyless entry prius and all my doors locks and unlocks just fine, except the one that counts. For some reason my driver side door won't unlock 99% of the time, but it locks all the time. To unlock my car I have to take the key out and manually unlock it.

View 9 RepliesI have a sante fe which has problems (suspect multiple) with central locking , intermittently locking itself - very annoying - even driving down the road.
Drivers door controls for central locking unlock button does not unlock the doors - button just doesn't do anything. Lock button works fine. In addition window controls on drivers door dont work - only control that works is the one for the drivers door.
Final piece of the puzzle - the red light in the drivers door does not work either nor does the drivers door button panels light up. Starting to wonder is there a fuse or quirky power supply problem somewhere.
The dealer installed these on my new Prius today and when I got home I noticed that only the fronts light up when the doors are opened. They installed these in the rear too, but when the rear doors are opened they do not light up.
View 18 RepliesAfter dining at a restaurant in East Lansing when temp was close to zero F., we found the doors frozen. Not a problem: one yank and they open. Then as soon as we reach 12 mph, instead of the auto lock, the driver's door unlatches and the warning light and beeps come on. Stop. Close door. Continue. Same again. Start, manually lock doors, and at 12 mph driver's door unlatches. And again. Drive home with warning lights and beeps. No problem next day. But curious.

View 2 RepliesI just finished installing sound deadners and vibration control in my rear doors and when I finished the doors would not unlock...at all. Manually nor automatically. I'm sure the linkage cable was green on top, grey on the bottom. The real problem here is that I can't even get the doors open to look for a fix. This may be a dealer appointment. On the bright side, with just the rear doors complete the sound is already vastly improved over stock.
View 3 RepliesLately when I first start up and all the lights on the dash come on I see the triangle with the exclamation point (I don't remember seeing this before). It goes off when the rest of the warning lights go off. Today I backed the car out of the garage and put it in park and turned it off. When I opened the dirver door it beeped, beeped, beeped (like it was backing up). I shut the door and opened it again and it beeped again. I got out and locked it and went in the house. I went back out and unlocked it and opened the passenger door and it didn't beep anymore. I haven't tried the driver door yet.
View 4 RepliesOK, the default operation on a base PHV is when you have the smart key on you and you come up to the locked car and touch the drivers door handle to open it, it will only unlock the drivers door.
This is inconsistent with what I was used to on my 08, when I open the drivers door, I want all doors to unlock at once. I looked in the owners manual and it appears I need to have the dealership reprogram that.
Well that's an annoyance, is there another way to accomplish this change? It is not in the touchscreen menu (although I did see the remote fob 2-stage unlock option there).

I followed these instructions. Now all doors unlock with the smart key (grabbing the drivers door handle), but NOT by pressing the unlock button on he fob.
The SKS on my 2010 Prius V used to open all doors when I grabbed the door handle but now it only opens the driver's door. I remember seeing somewhere in this forum that this is one of the few driver customizable options (unless it is for Gen II only) and I should be able to make the change on my own.

Is there a way to get all the doors to unlock when you pull the handle instead of just the drivers door unlock. I frequently travel with a passenger and it would be nice to not have to unlock my door first, and then bend over and click the unlock button inside.
