Looking for the sequence and clip locations on a 2010 Prius III rear bumper cover to be able to remove and install a new bumper cover. What is removed and how many clips are involved?

View 11 Replies2013 Prius IV.... I just noticed that my right side rear bumper cover has a 1/4 inch gap between the bumper and the quarter panel. I think it's from me sitting on the bumper while tying up my shoes or something. When I apply downward pressure on the rear bumper, the gap widens. The left side is tighter, but does gap out when downward pressure is applied. In any case, the gap is annoying.

View 4 RepliesI was recently in a fender bender where I was rear ended. My rear bumper cover became detached on the left side and the spoiler underneath it (left side and center parts) became detached. I lost several pieces of hardware in the crash. I was able to clip the bumper cover back in on the left side, and aside from that, I don't believe any bolts, screws, etc. are missing for the bumper cover. However, the spoiler seems to be missing about half of its hardware.

After removing my bumper cover and reinstalling it, my DRLs are dead. The harness is reconnected and the turn signals distress signals work.
I unplugged the left DRL, turn signal to see if the right would work and vice versa and I still cannot get either to come on.
I checked the fuse and that isn't popped.
I turned the car to the DRL marker mode and auto mode and everything works except the DRLs.
I even took the bumper cover off again and inspected the harness.
how to remove it.My wife backed into my truck and put a dent in the corner of it so I am hoping i can pop it out.

View 6 RepliesSo I'm trying to remove the rear bumper cover on a '15, but it has been a royal pain. I went in thinking that the procedure would be similar to what it is on the '14, but it is way more involved. The biggest issue I'm having is removing the large plastic triangular side bracket. It has these weird T-nuts fastened to the body, which you cant remove, and the whole thing looks like it would need to slide upwards to get it off, but you wouldn't have enough room because the shape of the body just gets in the way.

Below are the picture from their finished work, however I know my car should look better than this. What could be wrong/missing to cause the grill and bumper to not align correctly with my car?

I bought all the parts that need to be replaced (the left bumper end, the hitch itself, and the plastic bumper cover), gut am hesitant to try to change it all myself. View 5 RepliesI've had my 2010 Gen III for about five months. I play in a folk band and we do a lot of gigs in DC and Northern Virginia. We have to haul a lot of stuff, and my Prius holds it all.
But in just a few months my rear bumper has gotten all scratched up moving stuff in and out of the car. I looked around for something I could cover it with to protect it from scratches. The dealership said they could put a non-skid decal on the flat part, but I wanted something that covered a little more.
I have a 2012 SE v6 with 1600 miles on it. About a week ago, I noticed my bumper cover pulled away from the corner of the headlight and there was a noticeable gap. I pushed on it, and heard a click. The bumper stayed in place. After a couple days driving, it came loose again. I didnt touch it so the Service Writer would see it first hand. Of course, his first instinct was to puch on it, but I got loud quickly, so he kept his hands to himself, and heard me out. I knew if he clicked it back into place I would be SOL. He admitted something needed to be done, not just click it back.
When I picked it up, he said it was a known issue, and there is a TSB on it. He claimed they replaced a bracket. The invoice reads, "ADDED FELT TO TIGHTEN FIT". Yeah, Im sure that will hold just long enough for them to wash their hands of it.
Replacing bumper cover, is there anything I would need to replace underneath it or is it just a simple swap out?
