I have a vertical scratch on the rear passenger door on the driver's side. When window is fully closed, the scratch starts from below the weather strip molding and goes up about halfway on the glass. It looks to me something inside the door is rubbing against the glass when it's rolled down.

View 18 RepliesMy BP Prius is under 3500 miles for two months. I don't realize until this morning that paint is scratched like "cat nail whew". I'm the only driver with no long nails and never had that problem with other cars it at less 10 years older car.
View 17 RepliesThere is a scratch on the top outside of the plastic rear window divider. I don't know if it was vandalism or some flying road debris. I know how we all love the divider, however this is not nice on a car with less than 1000 miles
View 8 RepliesHaving problems with the vertical rear hatch window shattering? Mine is completely shattered, only the tint is holding it together. I can't see a single impact point (and don't think I backed into anything). It looks like a network evenly distributed over the entire rear window. But maybe this is the way safety glass breaks when it is hit at one point???
View 4 RepliesMy driver's side and passenger side door handles squeak when using them to close or open the door. Its kind of an annoying issue which surprised me due to the quality and fit and finish on the rest of the car. The door handles do NOT make noise when driving the car, only when I grab and squeeze and close or open the door. I will be taking it to my dealer's service centre at my earliest convenience to see if they can remedy the issue.

My passenger side rear door is squeaky from lack of use. Its not the hinges, but the little arm that goes into the door. Should I grease or oil it?

View 7 RepliesI have a problem with my driver side rear door's child safety lock. The safety lock is STUCK/BROKEN on the lock position and i cant get it back to normal... The door could only be opened from the outside right now at all times.
I took the door panel off too see if i could do anything to make it unstuck but very unfortunate...
The safety lock is a whole module itself. I bought it to my mechanic he checked it out and said it cannot be fixed and has to be replaced and he quote/estimated me just the part alone is roughly $300?
How much the part would cost in Sewell? I tried looking it up but cant locate it
My driver side rear door won't lock any way that I try to lock it. I have tried to lock it by using the lock/unlock contol button that locks or unlocks all of the doors at one time on the inside of the drivers door and it won't lock. I have tried to lock it by pushing the rubber button on the outside of the drivers door and it won't lock.
I am unable to move the lock button next to door handle in the inside of the door on the rear drivers side door. Which led me to check the child lock lever that one can see when they open the door. Moving child lock lever doesn't do anything either way it is set to change the problem. Also I am able to open the door from the outside or the inside.
All other doors lock and unlock properly. My question is when there is an actuator motor problem does that make it so that one is unable to move the lock/unlock button on the inside of that door?
My front passenger door will not unlock when i activate the locks from the driver's side door- all other locks (driver's door, back seat, trunk) do unlock when activated (from both inside and out). When I try to use the locking feature on the passenger door it does not respond, nor does it respond the the key fob. The only way I can unlock my passenger door is manually. Is this something I can fix at home?

View 1 RepliesJust noticed this today. Carpet behind driver side (US model, 07, 150k miles) is wet! Does not smell dormant, and seems "soapy." Did not have rain, car is garage kept, windows never left open, did not go through car wash recently whereby water would have seeped in, have not had rain, nor have driven through rain recently.
View 7 RepliesI connected the driver's side LED door sill without a problem by following the video instructions. However, there were no instructions for the passenger side. So, I guessed that I would t-tap the two top wires. The LED's do not light up. Now on second view, the top cable that I t-tap'ed looks more black than blue. I should have done this in the light. So...
1) What are the correct wires to t-tap for the passenger side?
2) Did I damage anything if I t-tap'ed the wrong cable and I then remove the t-tap?
After traveling on the prehistoric roads (99% of the roads) in DC that have not been maintained since the Stone Age, the front passenger door is rattling (or something in it/within the vicinity) at only 3000miles. It looks like this happened after I started driving on the beltway. The beltway has less potholes than the prehistoric roads BUT on the beltway, you'd be hitting those potholes at 65mph.
View 7 RepliesI can't seem to lock my driver's side door via my key fob anymore. It locks all the other doors. When I press the lock button, I can hear the other doors lock and no beeping sound. There is a light blinking on my dash according to the manual the accessory mode light is blinking. I How do I shut it off? I've turned the car on by pressing the power button and pressing the brake then shut if off normally by pressing the power button.
View 6 RepliesI have a keyless entry prius and all my doors locks and unlocks just fine, except the one that counts. For some reason my driver side door won't unlock 99% of the time, but it locks all the time. To unlock my car I have to take the key out and manually unlock it.

View 14 RepliesMy fab works just fine (to unlock the doors) and I can lock the doors with the key. My problem is that for about 1 month, when I hit the lock button on the fab, all the doors lock but then the driver's door immediately unlocks. You can hear the doors lock, but then you hear the driver's door lock unlocking. I have to manually push the lock button switch (on the driver's inside door) to lock all the doors (and then the driver's lock unlocks, once again)... and then i manually push the lock on the driver's door. This is driving me CRAZY because basically I cannot lock the drivers door without going through this step. I have had the car for years and have never had a problem.
