I have a fault wit the steering angle sensor, fault code c1231, i have replaced it twice now, the fault would go after installing recon steering angle sensor but would come back again after, not sure what the problem is, looks like they become faulty and dead.

01044 Transmission control module - incorrectly coded
00778 Steering angle sensor-G85
I just had my Prius C in Alignment shop, and after alignment was done I got ABS light ON. We checked it and it says Steering Rack Angle Fault.

Can the sensor go bad after the airbag was blown? All the steering wheel controls still work.
I put in a new sensor to stop the problem but now I have the code 00778 which is steering angle sensor and then says 005 no or incorrect basic settings/adaption. I went through the Ross-Tech site to reset the code in group 60 and activate the basic settings, but I am then told that group 060 is not available. I have tried to set the steering wheel angle straight but the angle still says its at 349.47*. My car is a 2004 Jetta GLI 1.8T.

I have a 2005 crdi diesel santa fe that i have a strange problem with it starts up first time no problem in the mornings and can drive all day long. However if i switch it off and leave it sit for about a half hour no way will it start again until it cools off. It will start though with a push start instantly!
I got only one fault code P0340 cam shaft sensor fault, i replaces sensor and made no difference. Is this a common fault???
I recently took my car to the Hyundai dealer who told me that my engine light was from a bad cam sensor (Fault Code = P0340). I bought the sensor from the Hyundai parts dealer and replaced it myself. After having the code erased, the check engine light comes back on (with the same code) when I turn the car off and turn it back on, after driving it for a while (30 minutes or more).

Well, recently. I was on my way home from work, I'm an engine tech for Cummins Inc, and I notice my CEL came on and the car stalled multiple times at red lights. So I limped it home, connected my scanner and the fault was "Implausible signal from Mass Air Flow sensor". I cleared the fault code and tried to start the car. Nothing, no crank no start. Just an audible click from under the hood.
I disconnected the battery for 5 min reconnected it and it started fine. Drove it to work the next day, no issues. I tried to start it again and nothing, CEL was on again for the MAF sensor. I pop started it, car ran like hell, rough idle, low power, etc. luckily I have a dualy that I can drive in the mean time.
My check engine light came on in my 2010 Prius III so I hooked up to a scanner and the following code came up:
P2237 O2 Sensor
Positive Current
Control Circuit
Open - Bank 1
Sensor 1
My car has close to 60k miles so I don't think this would be covered under warranty. I don't know if this is related to this code but recently my exhaust smells kind of like bleach/chlorine.
Got the CEL Bank 1 Sensor 2 heater circuit fault. Is that the rear right post-cat oxygen sensor? What is correct part number or possibly a link? 2002 2.8l Passat V6...
View 3 RepliesMy check engine light came on the other day, and I went to Autozone to have the code read. Of course, that indicated the camshaft position sensor was detecting a fault. I read through all the posts relating to the fault, headed up to my local Hyundai dealer, and picked up the oil flow control valve for about $50 plus tax. While I was there, I figured I might as well have them do an oil change, since it was way past due. No point in putting in a new part with dirty oil..right? They did the oil change, washed the car and I was ready to roll. My plan was to replace the part myself, but magically, the check engine light has not come back on since.

I recently had a check engine light, VSC off light (blinking) and traction control light come on. I took it to Autozone and had a p0037 code ring up for a new Bank 1 Sensor 2 oxygen sensor (downstream). I believe I have found the correct sensor (located under car, approximately near drivers seat) and it looks simple to replace, aside from the fact that the wires go through the car body.
Can confirm that I have located the correct sensor? And if so, what is the best way to get to where the wires connect?
Is it located under the drivers seat? What should I do about the rubber grommet located under the car where the wires appear to pass through?
I recently picked up a 2005 f250 SD 5.4 4x4... I was having issues with sporadic shifting and wandering shifts while cruising around 100kph, scanned it and came up with p0721 OSS sensor circuit performance fault.
I checked the harness and all looks fine, now I attempted to remove the OSS at the rear of the tranny, got the 8mm bolt out however could not, for the life of me get the sensor out. I tried not to use pliers to twist the sensor or anything for fear of breaking the sensor off and having bits go into the transmission.
Getting a fuel pressure to low fault code. What could be wrong! 2010 GLI....
View 2 RepliesI recently picked up a 2000 jetta vr6 for a very good price its a glx I have owned a vr6 before and done timing chains myself on it this one is a glx , I am having 5 fault engine codes on my vagcom they are cam position sensor , knock sensor, secondary injection pump, and mass air flow it ran fine 100 miles yesterday this morning the epc came on then went off and ran bad can these codes all be related or do I have to replace each sensor individually..

I noticed it some times ago on my old 2008 rabbit too and didnt really cared much when I saw that on the steering wheel of the 2010 gti. Did you noticed that the SW angle isnt good from a top view, I means, when u look at it carefully, did you noticed that the SW is more prononced to the right side, it easier to notice it when u look from a top perspective view of the SW. When u use 2-hands on the SW, u can notice that your left-hand is closer of you that the right-hand. Why Volks designed it like that way?
