All of a sudden the Side View mirrors on my prius aren't working. Which fuse controls the Side View mirrors?

View 6 RepliesI have a 2003 Camry LE. A replacement drivers side exterior door handle was installed yesterday. The battery was disconnected. Today neither of the side view mirrors work.
(re: checking fuse. Where located & initials on the cover? I don't see it in the manual ).
PS- My girl has 189,000 miles. She has never stalled, sputtered, hesitated. A testament to regular basic upkeep.
I have an 07 Camry SE V6 with auto dimming rear and side view mirrors that just stopped working. I've checked the fuses and everything is ok - where to look next?
View 14 RepliesI have a 2013 RX. This problem just started today. Have I accidentally changed some setting or do I need to take the car to the dealer for repair?
View 5 RepliesThere's a light under both side mirrors that is supposed to light up when the car is unlocked or when a door is open. However, my lovely Egg doesn't do this. Is there a button on my space ship that i have to push?
View 6 RepliesFor those of you with power folding mirrors on their Golf VIs: Do you ever experience unfolding lag? Mine sometimes take up to 2 mins to unfold after moving the rotary switch, while other times they unfold instantly.
View 19 RepliesOver the past 6 months my side view mirrors have been getting finicky about tilting down. In other directions they move fine (left, right, up).
I just tried replacing the mirror switch, and it didn't fix anything; the exact same symptoms are there. Here's what I observe
* Neither the driver nor passenger side mirrors will aim down
* Left/Right/Up all work fine
* Occasionally (but rarely), they will suddenly work.
* Replacing the switch fixed nothing
* I also checked the wiring from the door to the switch and there were no visible cracks or damage, and the pins were well seated in the plug.
* Holding the mirror control in 'down' and wiggling the wiring makes no difference.
* I have a 2 door '13 Golf R (posting in GTI forum because it's more active).
* I have heated mirrors, but no folding or auto-dip.
I saw a number of posts on mods, and a couple on switch issues but in all of those installing a new switch seemed to do the trick.
For some strange reason, my side-view mirror (passenger) stopped angling down when in reverse . . .
View 10 RepliesLooking for directions to remove mirror housing. I'm switching to the brushed aluminum look.
And while i was at it i wanted to switch out the side view mirrors for the blue tinted mirrors.
We have a 2004 Lexus GX400. Both electronic side-view mirrors stick. In reverse, they stick and often the driver controls work intermittently.
View 6 RepliesI believe it is a great feature to automatically adjust the side view mirrors downward when the car is put into reverse. One question, Does the passenger side mirror the only mirror which adjusts downward? My drivers side mirror does not move at all.
View 4 RepliesI went to adjust my power mirrors today and it seems that there is no power to either one. I assume the fuse (#2 ECU-ACC) is okay because the other items on that fuse are working (audio, nav, etc).
View 2 Replies2010 Prius: During my first visit to dealership at 5000 mile service I told them to see what's wrong with my driver side rear view mirror why it is shaky. (It only shakes / vibrates left right NOT up down, and depending on the wind, road bumps have no affect) Obviously they could not duplicate it.
I called Toyota and Dealer wanted me to test-drive with a technician and show him the problem, which I did and technician agreed that there is a lot of wind induced shaking at the same time passenger side mirror is rock solid. They replaced the mirror with another mirror.
Now here is the problem, new one is also shaking. I am from SF Bay Area driving on 80, 780 and 680 near Fairfield (mostly windy)...
The door panel came unattached and while i was checking it out the door bulb holder touched some metal and sparked. now windows, power door lock, mirrors do not work. Fuse panel has no symbol for windows...
View 2 RepliesMy 2010 Prius mirrors are at slightly different angles to the car body when fully unfolded. Driver side is about 10 degrees further away than passenger mirror. I saw another Prius with same thing. Is this normal and do others have same thing?
View 10 RepliesI have a 2010 Prius III and was pleasantly surprised to find out that the side mirrors defrosted when the rear defroster was turned on. I looked in the owners manual and it said if equipped. Which Prius models do not have these defrosters, the package II? My mirrors do not have the little defroster icon, but I'm almost positive it must have them.
View 6 RepliesMy cruise control all of a sudden stopped working today.
View 7 RepliesI have not found a way to fold them. But if not, is it likely to be damaged during automatic car wash?
View 5 RepliesLate last night as I was puling up to park in front of a dark restaurant, I turned off my headlights so I would not blind the people inside. This is a 2010 Prius III.
When I left and tried to turn them back on, only the drivers side parking light (the small white one above the headlight) and side marker light worked. Passenger side nothing works, however on both sides the high beams do work.
Whenever I start the car at the moment, the rear view and wing mirrors are both in the dimmed position and I have to press the button under the rear view mirror to clear them to normal operation. Why this is happening? I can't find anything in the FAQ which covers it.
View 2 RepliesIs there a way to disengage the side mirrors from turning downward during the reversing process?
Last weekend, I found it very difficult to see my JetSki trailer while backing down the boat ramp.
And no, the monitor does not work in this situation.
