What is the easiest way to remove the panel where the light dimmer is located. I wanted to access one of the slots to put a dummy LED flashing light for deterrence purpose.

View 3 RepliesI've had a base model 07 Santa Fe for 4 yrs and I know darned well that the when the car is running, even with headlights off (as in daytime), that the gauges in the instrument panel light up, and the brightness can be controlled by rolling the dimmer switch (reostat) up or down. Now that it isn't working, after dealer replaced something nearby on a recall, they're trying to tell me that the gauges only light up when the parking or headlights are turned on.

Had to go back to the dealership 2 days later anyways to get a second key made. Showed the tech the light and he gave me 2 new bulbs to replace both lights with. View 4 RepliesTrying to remove all the lower trim on the dashboard. Have everything but the lower right portion on the drivers side. The carbon trim on there seems to be tucked under the upper part of the dashboard itself and I can't remove it. I assume there is one final screw under there?
I can pop it loose a bit on the left corner but feel if I force that trim something is going to break.
How to remove the drivers side kick panel? It has the hood release lever, which is holding me back from figuring out how to get it off. I don't want to keep experimenting because of the chance of breaking something. I'm trying to install some after market speakers and need to get behind it to run the speaker wire to the door.

Before the horn went out completely, one tone died, then about two months later it stopped working completely. When I press the horn, I hear a click coming from the dash. So, I think it's either a bad relay or both horns went out. How likely is it that both horns go out within a few months of each other?
Anyway, I bought a new horn relay, but how to access the relay panel located in the dash. How to remove the dash sections, or is there a good write up?

View 3 RepliesI bought my 2012 RX 350 April 2012. I noticed that the rear mirror had like melting or warp look. Then the side door panel and in back -wing of car (spooler?) had some ripples lines. I went to dealer first they said they would order parts for mirror and side panel (this was fix awhile back sept). but the have to get factory inspector to come out and inspect car for the spooler part.
I dropped my car off because the manager says he needs to look car himself before determining anything. He told me he thinks I parked my car near high efficiency windows and had reflected and caused the melting or warp or ripple on my car.
