View 1 RepliesI gave my Prius to my mom a year ago. She was complaining that the rear door lock behind her can sometimes stick, resulting in it locking or not locking. Also any tips and DIY on how to remove the rear door panel?

View 4 RepliesI just bought a 2010 RX450h and it is in overall great condition. The leather is damage though on the Rear Driver side door panel, so I am trying to remove it and get it repaired. I have removed 3 screws :
-one behind the door open/close latch
-one under the wood/window switch
-one in the handle area to pull door and close
I am now trying to take the panel off and have the bottom part pulled off. But I can't seem to pry open the top part... Am I missing something or a screw? Is there some trick? I am scared to break it.
The side trim panel on the passenger side seat was accidentally pulled away in the front. Checked the tabs and clip are intact, is there any special way to push that in? Or just by brute force?
View 1 RepliesI bought a used 2013 Santa Fe Sport 2.0T Limited in August from a Hyundai dealership near Vancouver, BC. The vehicle had fairly high mileage (95K) but had been well-cared for and I got it for a fair price.
After a few days I noticed there was a "crunching" noise coming from the rear driver's side quarter panel area when going over the u/g parking ramp into my condo. The rear seats also jiggle and rattle at moderate speeds. Didn't really notice either on my test drive before buying it, as I just went over smooth roads.
I searched this forum and found some good leads, such as the inner quarter panel being loose, rear trailing arm issues, or perhaps some faulty welds. I printed out this info. reported by other owners and brought it to the dealership.
As kind of expected, the technician each time has said he couldn't hear anything unusual. (selective hearing?) The suspension system is supposedly sound.
My friends and family members all hear this creak (under the right conditions when the rear wheels are at uneven heights)...it's not my imagination. I've taken out the styrofoam cargo support and nothing changed.
I had a loaner 2015 Santa Fe and there was no such noise.
The rear seat jiggle is also irritating. I've experimented with putting the seat backs at different angles and nothing really works.
The vehicle has about 500KM left on its 100,000KM warranty.
getting access to the back of the rear quarter panel for paintless dent repair? This is for a 2 door 2012 Golf 2.5L.
I've heard from a few people that there's likely some sort of access point for this car but I haven't gotten any specifics. I'd rather not have the PDR guy drill a hole in the wheel well for the needed access.
I do see what looks like factory hole with rubber cover behind where the door closes (lower part) ..
Here's the location of the dent (dent itself is not visible at this resolution, but it's right at the point of the crease):
I am hearing a squeaking noise by my right rear quarter panel inside the cabin. How to safely remove the panel. I tried searching but the instructions were vague.
View 3 RepliesI am installing the wiring for trailer lights in my 2007 B6 wagon. I need to remove the interior trim panels for this, but I can't find any diagrams or DIYs on where the screws or clips are. I don't want to just go at it and end up putting pressure in the wrong places and breaking clips.
View 1 Replies2008 Ford Explorer with 100,000 miles on it. My wife's car, and the last couple of times I've driven it I get a whiff of gasoline every now and then. I've looked at the engine and underneath the vehicle and have found no visible signs of a leak. Last night I walked by the car and smelled gasoline around the driver's rear quarter-panel. That is the opposite side of the fuel tank filler tube but it makes me think it could be fuel tank related. Where to start looking? Maybe a pin-hole in a line somewhere? Fuel filter? Fuel pump?
View 3 RepliesI have 2001 EX with the 7.3 and my rear vent windows stuck open and I am stumped as to what might be the culprit. There isn't any power getting to the switches in the overhead console.
I replaced the relay 204 in the engine compartment, I believe that is the correct one.
Where the actual fuse is located for this and its number? Because both of them are stuck open not just one side.
I was in a rear accident - and I took my 2012 Prius to my local body shop can to fix the rear frame.
During their repair - since they were replace the outer rear frame - they had to remove and reinstall the right rear quarter window panel of the car - the one with what looks like defroster grids.
When I got the car back - I noticed some of the grid lines were a little worn out.
So, What exactly do these grid lines do - are they defrosters? They have it only the right side of the window - the left side of the window doesn't have any grids.
How to remove the trim around my rear window. Do you just pop it off somehow?
View 14 RepliesI've got a 2003 camry LE/V6. The interior trim fabric to the right and left of the rear window is curling back on the trim panel away from the glass. This has been happening slowly over a year or so and now has reached a point of requiring repair. I've searched the site, but haven't found anything directly related. These panels appear to be separate from the headliner and the rear window shelf. How these panels come out? If these snap into clips and can be removed, I might be able to match fabric closely enough to be OK.
View 2 RepliesI had the strangest thing happen today. I started my 2004 TB EXT at the auto parts store (getting brake pads for my grand am), and a strange thumping started coming from the pass-side rear. I got out and popped the hatch. Sounded like it was coming from trim panel under rear window. I held my boot against the tailpipe, thinking maybe I broke a muffler mount; didn't work. Figured I'd try getting it home before something let loose. Sound went away about 100 ft down the road. I'm guessing it was something electrical.

I have a 2016 Prius C Persona. I'm thinking of removing the green trim on the sides and under the headlights. How difficult it is, or if there's a chance I'd damage the paint?
View 19 RepliesJust having a little stereo work being done and noticed a wet floor under the insulation after removing the rear side panel covering the a/c unit. Is that normal? I read some folks have had to seal the fan box...is that most likely the issue?
View 2 RepliesWhen I close my rear, driver side, door there is a lot of movement at the top of the door panel. I can pull it away a good bit so I think there may be a broken clip. I searched the FAQ but could not find instructions for removing the rear door panel?
View 2 RepliesI've got a 2006 F250 5.4l Super Cab. When I bought the truck the rear interior door trim panels were missing. I tried to order them straight from ford but it turns out they no longer carry them, and I can't seem to find them anywhere online. I've also looked at the salvage yards in my area- nothing. Where I would be able to find these elusive creatures?
