Car: 2014 Prius, basic model
Symptom: Only rear left electric window and electric lock are not working. They are not responding to driver side control or remote key control. Electronics on other 3 doors function normally.
I just had some body work on the doors on the passenger side. Now the master window control (drivers door) will not operate the rear passenger window. The rear passenger door window control DOES work. I went right back to the body shop and let them know.The guy called back saying something about a guy coming this monday to do a system reset?
I'm a new owner. Its a 2013 Prius 2.
My buddy just picked up a 2007 passat 2.0t. Upon bringing it home and locking it we noticed the horn didn't beep indicating an active alarm. I discovered the rear passenger door wasn't locking, and when opening it, even though the alarm was activated, the alarm didn't go off. The door unlock/lock switch as well as the window switch both aren't working. Can't open the window from the driver's door switch either.
I'm guessing it's probably something to do with the power to the door since it's completely unresponsive. Where would we be able to check if power is going to the door? Also, since the alarm doesn't go off when opened is there a sensor somewhere that says when the door is open and or locked?
Got our 2012 package 5 lesss than a month ago, so we haven't had much opportunity to use the rear defroster. The two times I have used it I noticed that it works well on the upper rear window, but the glass below the rear spoiler doesn't seem to be clearing. The red/orange "wires" are visible in the glass, but don't appear to do anything. Wasn't planning to head back to the dealer until first service since we haven't had any other problems, but this could be annoying with the winter weather.
View 7 RepliesI have a 2010 prius and my driver main controls don't work. My driver window has no auto function but still rolls up and down but my door lock controls and all other window controls are completely non functional. I don't know what to do!!!

How do you go about removing the bad rear passenger side door lock actuator ??
My vehicle does not lock the rear window glass on the left gate. All other locks work fine. The rear lift gate glass just slams and nothing.
View 2 RepliesI've got a 2007 Touring and all of the 4 doors don't always lock when I push the button outside of the car or the key fob. Sometimes the front left or the front right doesn't lock. When I push the button or the key fob I don't get the single beep to let me know they are all locked. I just hear a click, click.

My passenger side, front window and lock stopped working. Once I cranked the AC and the car cooled a bit, the lock and window would work again.
Now, they have stopped working completely.
I have a leak underneath the rear right passenger door. I see some type of pan underneath there but don't know what it is. How to identify what this could be? This is 2011 Hatchback.

Here is the deal - Rear left (driver side) door will not lock automatically with the key or the controls up front. I have to press it down to lock it but will unlock if I use either of the controls mentioned above. My thought is that the actuator is busted.
2003 Passat Wagon....
My left rear window motor has not worked for several years. Suddenly several weeks ago the window just dropped. I knew the regulator had failed so I replaced the regulator and the window still was not working up or down. I ran 12 volts to the new motor and it works . I removed the master switch and disassembled and cleaned up still nothing. Ordered new master switch still nothing. All other windows work. Checked power coming out of the switch and it is there. Tried testing current at the motor plug and only get power on one leg. The confusing thing is that the wires that have power with the switch on up and down are not the same color at the rear door making me think the wires go elsewhere before going to the back door.
View 2 RepliesMy 05 phaeton has a lot of wind noise coming from it especially over 60 miles per hour. The window is fully up the door is closed and even in the car wash no water gets in. The seal seems tight.
View 3 RepliesI've bought a 2010 Prius recently, it seems I overlooked something when test driving. I bought it for a very good price from a private seller, so no warranty. When I test drove I tried all the windows from the driver's side, everything worked. My wife was sitting next to me, that switch also worked. We both seem to have forgotten to check the switches in the back Today my father, sitting in the back, realized the power switch on the rear right door isn't working, The window and motor are fine, I can open and close the window from the driver's side, but the switch on the rear door itself doesn't work.
If this was any other (cheap) car, I'd just take off the door panel and check the switch. Since this is an expensive car, I thought it would be smarter to ask here first.

So all but the driver door window switch stopped working including the lock and unlock buttons. The windows still go up and down but from the other door switches.
My best guess is the master switch is gone bad. And at over 65k I'm sure it's no longer under warranty. I called the local dealer today and quoted me over $500 and would not give me the part number.
After parking the car for 15mins and turned the car back on, decided to try again. Everything works now I haven't taken anything apart yet but now I'm curious what caused it to temporarily fail.
After 30 mins of the car being on I decided to roll the windows up but the switch was dead again.
When I open the door, I can hear something like the car is pumping fluid, like the electric sound. Is that normal? I have a 2012 prius v.
