Prius (2010-12) :: Radiator Cap Location?
Jul 2, 2012
Where the radiator cap is located? I looked in all the obvious places, including removing the piece of trim over the radiator.

View 1 RepliesI need to know where is the radiator fan relay switch located on a 2000 jeep grand cherokee laredo. My check gauges light comes on. The temp gauge is on 260. I had it checked out. My radiator cooling fan isn't running.
View 14 RepliesI've removed the splash guard(s) and can see a bunch of different thick hoses. I have no clue what I'm supposed to be looking for in order to drain the coolant. What I'm looking for (picture would be great or a really good description).
View 23 RepliesMy sat radio says No Signal. Sirius checked it out and said everything was fine on their end. I checked the antenna and it is OK. I am thinking there may be a problem where the antenna connects to the Satellite box but I don't know where they store it to check it. Under the seat?? Under the trunk?? Behind the dash??
View 5 RepliesI am planning to install the WebElectric DRL-2P ( Sequential Turn Signals, One Touch Turn Signals, Challenger Sequential Taillights, Sequential Tail Lights, Mustang, Dynamite Stick Sequential, Pulsing Brake Light Pulser Flasher, One Touch Convertible Top, Dynamite Stick, One Touch Turn Signals, Dayt ) which uses the front turn signals as a DRL. Because the turn signal lights will be on all of the time, I am going to convert the turn signal bulbs to LEDs.
This will require changing the turn signal flasher (I don't want to use a resistor because of the current draw and heat issue), since the LEDs are seen as a burnt out bulb and causes a quick flash. What is the location of the turn signal flasher on the 2010? There is a thread for the 2009, but I am not sure it is the same. I would rather not take panels apart until I know that what I am looking for is underneath. What is the correct flasher to use? The closest I have seen is: LED Flasher Unit CF18-08 Specifications
One final question: Where can I locate a circuit in the engine compartment that I can tap into which is live only when the car is in the "Ready" mode. I want to use this as the trigger to turn on the DRL circuit. I have seen people suggest the windshield washer circuit, but was wondering if there is a better choice.
Where is it? I can't seem to locate it. It sounds like it's coming from inside the fuse box under the hood.

View 3 RepliesWhile doing regular checkup on my car, I noticed that both radiator fans (left and right) are on when the engine is on even though the A/C is not running. Is this normal? Is this a minor issue that needs to be resolved? No faults on the dashboard btw.
View 11 RepliesRecently, my radiator fan stopped working. Its a 2013 Elantra GLS with 54K Miles on it. Summers are scorching in my region (hovering around 50 C so I take extra care anyway. Was surprised to find out one such scorching afternoon that the fan stopped working so even the A/C failed. Took it to the mechanic, who diagnosed and said the fan motor is spoil. I was hoping it was the temperature sensor.
View 7 RepliesPulled into a parking space as usual the other night and when backing out, I badly ripped up the "radiator shield" (if its called that) plastic cover underneath my car. I ended up removing it all together after removing a few remaining clips holding it in place and drove home without problem. It looks like it protects the radiator.... What this part is called?
View 10 Replies2010 / 5.4... Attempting to trace the oil leak... thought it was power steering high pressure line but now I think that's just dirty from oil leaking through rad & blowing onto the steering line below. Looks like difficult to replace - anything I need to be cautious / aware of that's replaced a rad before?
View 10 RepliesElantra 2011 1.8 engine ... Where is the PCV valve located?
View 1 RepliesI start the car, with AC on, radiator fan starts and within a few minutes the engine radiator fan stops working, idles rough since the AC compressor pump keeps cycling on and off and engine starts to overheat. After shutting down I check the engine cooling fan fuse and it sure enough is blown.
How do I determine as to where the short is? Is the short in the wiring somewhere or can the actual motor short out?
I have a 2013 Elantra with 145,000 miles. The A/C isn't working--just blows out warm air. I checked and the compressor turns on when I hit the A/C button. I'd like to try refilling it. I can't find the low pressure valve location (only high). No luck on Google.

View 14 Replies92 Toyota Pickup (22RE auto). New block, rebuilt head, new water pump at 300k about a year ago. Sounds strange I know but that's what seems to have happened. Ive never been able to get heat from the truck since Ive owned it so Ive been trying to fix that. I flushed the coolant out and replaced the tstat. I brought the car to a mechanic and he put a pressure tester on the cooling system and he said it wasn't holding any pressure. He also pulled off the heater core inlet hose with the truck running and no coolant was coming out. He thought there was a blockage somewhere but how to fix it. I figured I might as well try replacing the old radiator cap with a new one so I did. Once I did this, the first time the truck went out, it overheated and the radiator crimped upper seam (on the plastic) burst outward. So all in all...something is wrong.
View 2 RepliesI have a 2010 V-6 Camry that has been sitting for a couple years, changed the oil (what a system that is !) and was wondering the location of the fuse or the relay for the fuel pump is so I can crank the car over awhile to build up some oil pressure before I start it .
