Prius (2010-12) :: Location Of Interior Temperature Sensor Of HVAC System?
Mar 18, 2014
I was just wondering where the interior temperature sensor of the hvac system is located?

View 2 RepliesHave no Fan on Rad running. Cant seem to locate the temp sensor to test it? What is the location?
View 1 RepliesWhere the Coolant Temperature Sensor is located in the R32? Need to replace it. I searched but luck so far.
View 23 RepliesTrying to replace the post cat O2 but not sure if I have the right location. Looking for a diagram?
View 9 RepliesWhere is this located? This is the sensor that reads the outside air temp for inside display. Looked between radiator and bumper cover pretty thoroughly.
View 4 RepliesWhat is the location of the Coolant Temperature Sensor? I search but I couldn't find a picture or diagram for our car.
View 2 RepliesMy 2001 Hyundai Santa Fe V6 is giving out a P0118 code, and the "freeze-frame" data reports a -40F for the coolant temperature. That doesn't make sense so perhaps the sensor is faulty or perhaps the sensor connector is loose?
I'd like to take a look at the coolant temperature sensor but I cannot find it. I have scoured hmaservice, hyunda-forums but all the various pics are still not clear enough for me to actually find the sensor. I have seen all the online pics from Hyundai but I can't get my head around exactly where the sensor is - the pics are either too zoomed in or so many things have been disconnected for the purposes of taking the picture I can't get my bearings.
Where exactly is the temperature sender/sensor is located?
View 3 RepliesWhere the temp sensor for the rear view mirror is located. My truck is a 2011 Ranger with the 4.0 liter, AC, automatic and 4x4. I think it is somewhere by the headlights but not sure.
View 6 RepliesWife's car threw a p0711 code. It says temp sensor failure or whatever. I found the part on rockauto for 22 bucks but that's not the issue. I've tried searching about this and I seem to find some stuff about elantras and sonatas. I can't seem to find anything specific to a accent. I've read that it's inside the transmission which is fine I've changed valves before and such on old rwd transmissions. But some things I find say it's on the bottom and some say the side. Also wiring is mentioned pretty often with service bulletins.
View 28 Replies2010 Prius IV - when I have my ac system off and outside air on the system seems to heat the air to whatever the temperature was last set at? This should be a vent condition and air should be coming in from the outside even if the air outside is 50 degrees and the system was set at 70 when it was last on? The system seems to be heating this air. If I turn the system on and reset the temp lower, then turn the system off the air comes out cooler? Why is this?
View 5 RepliesMy truck has a bit of an interesting trait. Unless it's just about freezing, my transmission is just about always at operating temperature. If it's 50*F outside and I start the truck, the Trans temp is smack dab in the middle. If it's 30*F outside it starts just a little above cold then is "warmed up" when I drive it down my short street block, which ain't right.
All the rest of the time, it's always reading middle of the bar temperature. My old 5.4L never did this. My 7.3L does. Best I can tell is it's a fault in the temperature sensor for the transmission. I don't have a scan gauge yet to get the readings but will be getting one. Just need to know where the sensor is at so I can have a starting point.
Is the TPMS system in our cars capable of learning or being programmed to know which tire sensor is where? I know with my Vag-com I can separately see each sensor that is talking to the module.
Do we have the ability to do anything so the MFD is able to tell you which tire is low?
So I was wondering where the O2 sensors are on the 04 f150s and if I could cut the rear set of cats out without throwing off those sensors?
View 13 RepliesThe "Check Hybrid System" message came up on my dashboard. I took it to the dealer, and they said the temperature sensor on the transaxle was giving erratic readings. Unfortunately, they said that the only way to fix it is to replace the entire transaxle. They said I could keep driving it and that it would probably go into disabled mode before it caused any more damage. What I should do? It's a rebuilt 2012 Prius with 25k miles.
View 19 RepliesPicked up a 2001 Excursion a few weeks ago. Trying to sort out some of its issues. The rear HVAC seems to only blow one temperature... Luke warm. Front A/C and heat work fine. I checked the temp blend actuator and it seems to work fine. The rear expansion valve gets cold and there is condensation that drips from the rear. What else I can check?
View 14 Replies00 Silverado 1500 Z71.. What is the location of the HVAC distribution servo?? I found the air blend servo under dash. Only getting air blowing out of Defrost. I switched the head unit and got same result. Also tried the reset as suggested by Jcat, neither one worked.
View 1 RepliesI have these two codes:
P0A37 - Generator temperature sensor circuit range/performance
P0A2B - Drive motor "A" temperature sensor circuit range/performance
Had a customer car with DTC P0A9B in 2005 Prius with 170k miles so out of warranty. Car would code immediately when turned on but would drive fine, 45MPG average etc.
Dealer had told customer solution is to "replace entire HV battery assembly". .
Customer battery ECU was 89890-47070.
Got a slightly newer battery ECU 89890-47071 from a hybrid recycler in Denver. Replaced only the battery ECU, cleared codes, no more problems. Car now running great.
This video is about the Toyota Prius Gen 3 Temperature Indicators and cooling system overheating. I thought the prius did not have temperature indicators but found out it did, so this video is about how to know if your toyota prius is overheating and understand the basics of its cooling system.
View 2 RepliesI am getting code p0420 and want to replace the air/fuel ratio sensor and cannot figure out who to reach and remove the connector to the sensor. How to do it? I read several threads about it and saw instructions for the rear O2 sensor but not the fwd air/fuel ratio sensor.
I hope to remove it from below and avoid removing the inverter. From under the car I can see the cable leaving the sensor and I think I see it terminating in a connector on the left side of the engine. I can barely snake my arm up there and touch it, but I cannot get a good enough grip to press a release button and pull it free.
I got the rear O2 sensor changed in about 45 minutes.
