View 1 RepliesI recently bought an 2005, 3ltr diesel Phaeton (though packed with options) in Germany. I drove it home and was, and am, in awe of the motoring experience.
As a fan of cars I am lucky to own a Opel Speedster (VX 220 in the UK) and a Buick Riviera Boattail from 1972. But the Phaeton beats all of them together!
But......my newly acquired Phaeton failed the technical control over here in Belgium due to the headlight washers (squishers?) not working (coming out of the bumper). Not even with the manual override through the control screen.
Dealer have checked every fuse, replaced on of the batteries which was not functioning properly (and was causing numerous 'power' errors). The car has been with them for two weeks now and I am getting desperate to drive my car.
I have a 2010 Prius and now is cold here 20-30F. So, i filled up with tinter wash fluid the bottle and today when i entered my card was 25F and i can spray out washer fluid on back window but on front window it seems it is not working. It can't be frozen because under the hood i removed hose from one connection and it is not spraying also when it is removed as i thought that the problem can be nozzles, but no. Or maybe is a pump problem? So we have two pumps on 2010 Prius for washing windows(one pump for front windows and one pump for rear windows? or there is a common one? Because there may left some water after i filled up with wash fluid. Yesterday it was working even in front and even on back. Today after i left car for two hours in underground Mall Parking i thought it will work when i'll come, but surprise, it wasn't working and there was 42F in parking.

View 3 RepliesFixing a jammed headlight washer cover? I know the washer itself works because I see washer fluid on the ground and I can hear the motor whirling. Also when I access the maintenance item on the infotainment center, the left washer cover pops out, but not the right one.
View 1 RepliesNoticed that the windshield washer fluid level is ALWAYS low, needing significant amount to refill, even when not used? I'm not talking weeks or months, so that evaporation could be the cause, but rather DAYS. No evidence of leaks under vehicle, either. What could do this?
View 18 RepliesWhat is the volume of the screen/headlight washer reservoir and at what level the low fluid warning lamp first appears?
View 3 RepliesThe bumper cover on my car was replaced due to deer damage. I just noticed the headlight washer covers don't retract themselves all the way unless I give them a little push by hand. Can this issue be fixed?
View 1 RepliesWhere to find the headlight washer pump fuse. My owners manual does not list it for some strange reason.
The washer heads both extend OK using the service button, but when I pull the washer stalk only one (RHS) pops out and no fluid comes out, so I am guessing the washer pump has stopped working.
I've got an 04 V8 and the headlight washer cover on the drivers side keeps coming off, I've lost three of them now. My dealer doesn't have an answer for me
View 4 RepliesI own a 2010 model III Prius and the reverse beeping is driving me crazy. How to disable the beeping without visiting your Toyota dealership?
View 3 RepliesI have a 2011 Prius Three. After about a month of owning it, I had the dealer disable the back-up beeping so it only beeps once when backing. I'd like to disable the "key not detected" beep.
View 11 RepliesSo there are essentially two methods each for locking/unlocking the doors in conjunction with 1)when the shift lever is moved and 2) when the vehicle passes a preset speed (18 mph)
My question is how to disable the locks from functioning whether I shift the gear fob or reach a predetermined speed. I do NOT want the door locks to move at all once I get in a start the car.
I don't like the idea of Safety Connect, and already have AAA membership. How can I disable Safety Connect? I'm only a few months into a trial membership, do I call toyota to cancel? Or can I just disconnect some fuse?
View 9 RepliesDisable the beeper when put into reverse on your 2010 model? I did it on my 2005 model very easily, but cannot find the steps to take for various changes on the 2010 models.

Would it be possible to disable HV battery charging or regeneration (with torque pro regen coop)? This way I could use battery and ICE power when going up a long mountainous area, and end up with 30% charge at the top instead of 60%. Then on the way down I could use regen to build back up the battery.
2013 Prius is there any way to disable the traction control. Trying the push start button 2 times and push gas pedal 2 times etc. method wont work on this year.
View 6 RepliesI took my Touareg in for an oil change. When the tech lifted it up, he called me and pointed our a bushing on the lower control arm which was leaking oil or some fluid. I touched it and it seemed like oil of some sort. It was like black or something near that color. He told me that maybe it was some kind of a hydraulic bushing and the seal had gone bad. The oil was not coming from anywhere else, but the bottom of the bushing.
I took it in to service and the tech couldn't really explain where the oil was coming from, but told me that that bushing did not have any type of fluid in it. While I had the Touareg in, the air suspension compressor finally got replaced. I feel like I'm actually driving a luxury car now. It feels so much nicer! That immediately got rid of most of my cabin rattles. Boy, was my ride bad before. That was in "comfort". I can't begin to describe how horrible it was in sport.
They replaced the dual horn, because mine went bad. They also replaced the wood trim on the driver side door. They kept ordering the wrong color. My original Myrtle was almost chocolate in color. The ones that they get now are much lighter. Just about all my wood has now been changed. The only problem now is that for some reason or another, the headlight washer isn't working. I'm wondering if they disconnected a plug while working on the horn.
So, after about a year, I've finally got just about everything done. Now all I need are new tires and an alignment. Speaking of alignments, I've noticed that my Touareg is the only vehicle I've ever driven that will continue to drive in a circle with the wheels turned, even when you let go of the wheel... while going forward. In other words, if you turn the wheel enough and accelerate, the wheel will tend to turn further until it locks. Other cars will straighten out as soon as you release the wheel, if you are going forward (not in reverse). Ok, there are 3 questions on this post: The deal with the bushing, the deal with the headlight washer and the deal with the wheel that doesn't straighten itself out.
I got the bec autoparts gti reps from Ed. I know HID's aren't perfect so sometimes they don't turn on but just turning the headlights off and then works to have them turn on. Whatever no big deal, but, every time it happens I get a check low beam headlight message that won't go away until I disconnect the battery terminal. So what I'm asking any trick with vcds to disable these messages. Idc to not have that caution. I just can't read German and don't know how to maneuver vcds.
View 1 RepliesHow I can disable that annoying beep that occurs when driving over the speed limit? I've tried turning off the beep in the general settings that has not affected it.
