I was the victim of someone scratching the rear door on the left side. I can feel with it with my fingernail. Is it best to have a pro fix it come Spring time.. I have a '15 Pearl White Persona.
View 18 RepliesMy BP Prius is under 3500 miles for two months. I don't realize until this morning that paint is scratched like "cat nail whew". I'm the only driver with no long nails and never had that problem with other cars it at less 10 years older car.
View 17 RepliesI have a vertical scratch on the rear passenger door on the driver's side. When window is fully closed, the scratch starts from below the weather strip molding and goes up about halfway on the glass. It looks to me something inside the door is rubbing against the glass when it's rolled down.
View 3 RepliesThere is a scratch on the top outside of the plastic rear window divider. I don't know if it was vandalism or some flying road debris. I know how we all love the divider, however this is not nice on a car with less than 1000 miles
View 8 RepliesI never seen this before. Today I was driving on the freeway. I then heard a loud "pluck" noise as if a rock hit my car. When I got home, I saw this bulge popping out on my right passenger rear door. It looks like it's swollen.
It doesn't look like a rock hit the car though. Otherwise, it would have been a dent inwards with paint chipped. It's really close to the rear passenger door speaker too. I wonder if something in the speaker popped and made a bulge like that outwards.
The wizards that painted the entire passenger side of my 2003 Passat have left me with a rear door that takes a few handle pumps to open, particularly when it has been a few minutes between tries. What is the cause of this? Is this a hinge issue or something else?

View 1 RepliesI went to an outdoor auto show the other day. When I got home I saw some white paint looking dots on my car. The dots are the size of salt, peppered on top of my car. I can only see it up close. I started using my nails to get them off, they started to break down and some of them started to have fiberglass looking "tails",after some effort I was able to remove a few. I can't see myself doing that on the whole car. Not sure if I should use the clay bar on it, I don't want to scratch the paint.
I'm going to try some of these tips tomorrow, but mine doesn't look like spray paint. It's like some kind of alien paint/fiberglass mix.
I've bought a 2010 Prius recently, it seems I overlooked something when test driving. I bought it for a very good price from a private seller, so no warranty. When I test drove I tried all the windows from the driver's side, everything worked. My wife was sitting next to me, that switch also worked. We both seem to have forgotten to check the switches in the back Today my father, sitting in the back, realized the power switch on the rear right door isn't working, The window and motor are fine, I can open and close the window from the driver's side, but the switch on the rear door itself doesn't work.
If this was any other (cheap) car, I'd just take off the door panel and check the switch. Since this is an expensive car, I thought it would be smarter to ask here first.

Is it a big deal to remove the left rear interior door panel? The dealer replaced the door glass and, naturally, the tech didn't align the glass correctly. I'll align the glass myself.

View 5 RepliesI have a 2010 Prius V-ATP with remote keyless entry. When I open the driver door the rear doors do not unlock. When I open the front passenger door, the rear doors do unlock. I would like the driver door to open all 4 doors too. Is this normal operation?. Is there something I can do to fix it or do I have to take it to the dealer?

View 2 RepliesI just purchased a 2010 Barcelona Red Prius II to replace my 2008 vehicle of the same color (which is going to our daughter). We have a terrific dog who, in my 2008 car, would often step onto the metal part of the car when getting onto or off from the backseat. This has left scratches in the paint, as it lies behind the area protected by the grey plastic in both cars (i.e., where it begins to slope upward). Is there anything that can be done to protect this?

Symptom: Only rear left electric window and electric lock are not working. They are not responding to driver side control or remote key control. Electronics on other 3 doors function normally.
I just had some body work on the doors on the passenger side. Now the master window control (drivers door) will not operate the rear passenger window. The rear passenger door window control DOES work. I went right back to the body shop and let them know.The guy called back saying something about a guy coming this monday to do a system reset?
