Prius (2010-12) :: Error Code P01C1 Triggered?
Feb 7, 2012
I had to change my fog light fuse tonight, no reason found for that. However, I somehow triggered an error code, P01C1. I managed to reset it, but what this code means?

View 6 RepliesI had this problem for a while. My radio is always on when I stop the engine in my 2008 Passat. But lately, the next day when I started the car the radio was sometimes off.
Well, apparently the random turn off was an indicator that my battery was slowly getting bad and not holding a full charge. Yesterday my engine light came on and when I took the car to the service department they found out that the error code was triggered by low voltage.
At the end, they changed the battery. This is the first time I am changing the battery on this car since I got it in 2008. So 5 years on single battery is pretty good I assume.
I have a trouble with my 2008 prius; red triangle engine light is coming and when i try to push the gas pedal it feels like it's freeze, the car does not accelerate so I have to stop.
After i turn it off and start again it drives ok, but a triangle is still there and there is error code POA90 ( two different scanners show same code with two descriptions; the first is "MOTOR PERFORMANCE"; the second describe it as "14-volt power module system voltage high").
Specially it happens when i drive up the hill and push the gas pedal harder. What it can be? I took the car to the Toyota dealer; they looked for 8 hours and find nothing; i can't do it again as the car do not have a warranty and the dealer charge for hours.
Bought my 2010 Prius with some issues, most of which are now fixed.
The remaining issue is the mentioned A/C error code: B1498 A/C Communication malfunction (A/C inverter local)
What part this is, and the OEM part number? Where is it located in the car?
Previous owner claimed it was some error with the A/C Control unit.
Recently, when I ever press the brake while the head light or three AC is on, an error message appear for a few seconds ark malfunction.
View 6 RepliesI have a Toyota Prius (2010), and the car has run for about 2800000 kilometers. One day when a was driving my Prius the engine light suddenly get on. So I went to a car car mechanic, he checked the car and told me there was an error code (error code: P0401, exhaust problem (exhaust recirculation flow).
So I bought a liquid that I put in the gas tank, the liquid would clean the exhaust pipe, but the engine light was still on. The engine light is usually on at least 2 weeks, then disappear for about 2 days and come back in two weeks…The car is driving normally without any problems.
So got this P0A93 code when I was driving on the highway about 65mph, scared to me death when big yellow warning light came on so I returned home and turn the car back on after 30 mins the code and all the warning lights were gone I checked under the hood felt the pump everything was good. I just got done 90k maintance on the car from dealer. So my question is that could be computer error or it could be water pump malfunction? On warranty manual the warranty for inverter with converter covers under 100k so dealer should be able to cover the water pump if it's broken? I driven the car today again at normal temperature and full blast AC on, then again no engine check light on and warning light no message.
View 4 RepliesSo of course it has to happen 3 weeks after my warranty expires. My CEL comes on and I have it read and the result is P0440. I find out that my wife has a habit of topping off the gas tank and so I am thinking that she has probably ruined the charcoal canister. It is something easy to replace?
I have an 06 limited edition... Yes, she will not be topping off any gas tank anymore.
As the title says it all I have a 2010 Malibu LS with roughly 88k on it and just noticed that the CEL light came on last weekend. On Monday the light went ahead but it came back on this morning. Took it to Autozone and the error code was P0172, Fuel System Too Rich, Bank 1. I noticed this happened last weekend after putting in some gas at QT. The Autozone guy recommended some fuel injector cleaner as a starting point and recommended using pure gasoline (premium).

Error Code: ID 1011
I just bought a used 2008 Prius. I had my Prius inspected after buying it, and the error code C1378 appeared, which I have discerned refers to the Skid Control ECU.
There is apparently a recall for this part in 2010-2014 models, however as a 2008 I don't think I apply.
Just used Carista to switch to a single beep when reversing. Whilst I was in the app, just out of curiosity, I checked for error codes. B1423 appeared. I didn't expect to see anything as the car is brand new.
View 8 RepliesMy car has been fine with no changes besides tires last week, its a 2006 Prius and yesterday I got lights on my dash, went to auto zone for a read out and got an HV error code. I was wondering what is the most affordable route for my car to get repaired. I don't notice any mpg differences and everything still charges and recharges as if the errors don't exist.
View 19 Replieskeep on getting this error code....I think I have exhaust leak , Would that trigger this code ?....is an Exhaust leak is considered a Vacuum leak??
View 1 Replies2005, Gen 2 got check engine light. I've turned it off, will see if it reappears.
View 5 RepliesIts a 2009 Prius with about 75K miles on it. I have scangauge on the dash as well as mini-VCI. It is setting PO456 code time after time. I reset it, but it comes back in about 50 mils of driving. Its not the gas cap, I turn it until it clicks every time. Something is wrong with evaporative emissions system, which I wouldn't care about, except it might mask some other fault code that is more serious, as it keeps check eng. light on all the time.
View 7 RepliesI have a Toyota prius 2008 with 130,000 miles. I kept getting red triangle sign, the car will slow down and will need to pull over, shut it down and restart. I went to the dealer. First they diagnosed 12V battery issue, so we got that replaced. The red triangle sign kept coming, so we went to the dealer again, they replaced transmission fluid. They said it was low on transmission fluid. The red triangle sign kept coming. So we went to the dealer again. They said it is transaxle internal problem. The diagnostic code is P0A37. I have a couple questions. In California, what is the warranty for Transaxle problem. In some posts I saw 180,000 miles, 10 years. The dealer said they called Toyota and Toyota does not cover the repair. It is a costly repair. Second , is this code really requires Transaxle replacement.
View 16 RepliesMy 01 Prius is not charging the 12V battery and I have error code P3001. Everyone on here said P3001 is the HV battery ECU. (which I replaced with one from the Junk Yard and still get the error code)
I charged the 12V battery over night and Autozone says that its ok. They tested it with a little machine. The only other thing I can think of is that the Inverter DC-DC converter part is bad. How I can test that? (is there a way other than replace the inverter?)
What this error code is? I've been told its a faulty transaxle! what actions to take!
View 7 RepliesMy prius 2010 (III) accelerate much slower than before. I started noticing this after I picking up my car from the airport. Parked the car there for a week. I have the dealer checked the computer but no error codes found. My car has almost 250k KM on it. I have not replaced the spark plugs the last three years. Could it be the spark plugs?
View 5 RepliesI was driving home the other day and my CEL came on... I checked the gas cap and waited a few days to see if it cleared. When it didn't clear I had the codes read and it came back with 3 instances of P0505.
