Just wondering if it's possible to loosen one side of the bumper to remove the passenger side headlight ass'y?

View 1 RepliesJust got the 2010 and put 100 miles on it and found the front bumper loose on the passenger side. Difficult to see but it looked loose right by the headlight housing, a little pull and it popped up. Looked like the fastener was never there.
View 14 Replies2013 Prius IV.... I just noticed that my right side rear bumper cover has a 1/4 inch gap between the bumper and the quarter panel. I think it's from me sitting on the bumper while tying up my shoes or something. When I apply downward pressure on the rear bumper, the gap widens. The left side is tighter, but does gap out when downward pressure is applied. In any case, the gap is annoying.
View 19 RepliesI just picked up my new 2011 last night. Noticed today it looks like the corner of the rear bumper on the passenger side is not flush with the car and seems loose. Its not to noticeable but when compared with the driver side there is definitely a difference.
View 10 RepliesSo I recently bought an '09 Elantra for 52K miles. Car's a beauty except the front bumper cover is loose under the headlight on the driver side(got it that way). The first two pics are from the driver side whereas the third shows it in comparison to the passenger (which is totally fine). The gap seems to be getting bigger ever so slightly. What would be the cheapest and easiest fix?
View 1 RepliesThis thing drives me nuts.
View 9 RepliesThe front of the rear bumper on the driver's side is loose from the main body. The clip on the bumper is ripped from where it tore. I've gone ahead and bought the clips and everything from Lexus near me, but need to know the best epoxy or glue to reconnect the clip area on the bumper so I can apply the clips.
Is the bumper on that spot (the back side of it, not the painted exterior, if that makes sense) fiberglass.
When I was spray painting my bumper lower lip. Wiggled it loose so I could tape better but it came loose. This is what it looks like after gluing back together. The issue is with the little rubber trim not wanting to stick and looking ugly. Had a few ideas.
1. Replace with factory parts and repaint.
2. Wide pin striping along the line, blue or black.
3. Reflective tape square.
4. Euro fog lights
5. Long LED strip, either red or white
6. New blinker/reflector
7. Putty/bondo the bumper to look like one piece then paint.
Passenger side light is not working. When the regular lights are on the bulb is not working, when the high beams are on, its working fine.
I guess this is called the headlight (H11 bulb).
My Prius is a 2012 Two model. The headlight is my low beam on the left side. Is this something I can so myself?
View 5 RepliesMy driver side low beam headlight keeps blowing out. I have changed bulb 4 times so far. Why this is happening?
View 13 RepliesSo I washed my car today.. was wiping it a little and noticed that the right side of front bumper was loose.. then a closer inspection showed that I can lift it! I didn't collide into anything whatsoever, maybe from speed bumps or potholes?

The front bumper on my L is a bit loose. It looks like there's suppose to be a clip there that may have broke off. What this part is? I'm assuming I have to take the entire bumper off to fix it?
View 7 RepliesI recently discovered that my lower side molding on my front passenger side door was loose while cleaning away some of the salt stains from the winter storm . how to fix it or do I need a replacement.
View 11 RepliesI have a 2012 SE v6 with 1600 miles on it. About a week ago, I noticed my bumper cover pulled away from the corner of the headlight and there was a noticeable gap. I pushed on it, and heard a click. The bumper stayed in place. After a couple days driving, it came loose again. I didnt touch it so the Service Writer would see it first hand. Of course, his first instinct was to puch on it, but I got loud quickly, so he kept his hands to himself, and heard me out. I knew if he clicked it back into place I would be SOL. He admitted something needed to be done, not just click it back.
When I picked it up, he said it was a known issue, and there is a TSB on it. He claimed they replaced a bracket. The invoice reads, "ADDED FELT TO TIGHTEN FIT". Yeah, Im sure that will hold just long enough for them to wash their hands of it.
I noticed today when I was washing the car that the rear bumper feels loose to me compared to other cars... If I grab the bottom the bumper, just aft of the rear wheel, there can be significant movements of the bumper, and its the same on both sides... I don't see any loose screws.
Tried it with other model cars, the movement range from very small to nonexistent...not sure if it's just my vehicle or if they are all like this by design(or the lack of). The top of the bumper feels rigid enough. Now I kinda want to know if this looseness is causing my bumper to be flapping in the wind at highway speed...
I am interested in having an MPG readout on my back bumper, maybe next to the tag. Nothing large and in your face, but something someone might notice as they cruised along behind or next to me. So that might even mean dynamic brightness to prevent people from being blinded at night, or it being a distraction.
View 19 RepliesMy 2006 Prius (Model NHW20) has a strange headlight problem. On the passenger side, the high beam light is out but the regular headlight works.
On the driver side, the high beam is working but the regular headlight is out.
I don't think it's the fuses but I'm not sure. No amount of interchanging the following fuses changes anything about the issue:
1. 10A H-LP HI RH
2. 10A H-LP HI LH
3. 15A H-LP LO RH
4. 15A H-LP LO LH
I noticed the seam between the body and the bumper/fender part on my Prius was gaping ever so slightly today. It looks like there are a few light scratches, so maybe someone lightly bumped me? I tried pushing it in and up in case a clip wasn't catching, but I can't get it to completely close. Prius chatters? I know it's a minute thing, but now that I've noticed, it bothers me.
View 7 RepliesLooking for the sequence and clip locations on a 2010 Prius III rear bumper cover to be able to remove and install a new bumper cover. What is removed and how many clips are involved?
View 8 RepliesOk here is my situation:
After removing my bumper cover and reinstalling it, my DRLs are dead. The harness is reconnected and the turn signals distress signals work.
I unplugged the left DRL, turn signal to see if the right would work and vice versa and I still cannot get either to come on.
I checked the fuse and that isn't popped.
I turned the car to the DRL marker mode and auto mode and everything works except the DRLs.
I even took the bumper cover off again and inspected the harness.
