I am having trouble doing something that should be simple, playing music from flash drive. It reads the USB but says there are no supported audio files on the USB. I have reformatted to make sure it is fat32 format. My ipad works with my music files, why won't the USB read my music. It is the same music on the ipad.
View 5 RepliesI downloaded several mp3 files from Amazon and loaded them on a flash drive to use in my 2011 ES350 audio system. The flash drive is plugged into the USB port in the center console, and CD/Aux is selected to play the files. The weird thing is that although most files play, there is a few don't. There are folders for the non-playing music files, and a file is indicated in each, but after a short display of the folder/file number, the player skips on to the next folder without playing anything. Is there something I can do to get the "silent" files to play?

View 2 RepliesI bought a 64GB usb 3.0 flash drive and I loaded about 1,500 songs onto it from iTunes. When I plug the flash drive into the car, it shows that I have 496 songs on the flash drive.

I would like to know if the Navigation system in Camry 2013 SE could play any video files. Would it recognize any DVD's or cd's with video format files.?
View 3 RepliesFrom the past few weeks I have observed that when I try to play any Audio or MP3 CD in my RX 350, only the first song plays and then nothing. change discs, again, only the first song plays and then it dies i.e. no sound. Even when I try to change the tracks nothing plays. If something to be taken to dealer, does the Platinum Extended Warranty (bought by Jerry) cover it?

View 14 RepliesI recently bought a 2007 Prius and inherited the former owner's aux cable. I can use it to play music from my iphone 4s, but podcasts won't play. This is likely a problem with the cable itself or with my old phone, but I thought I'd ask just in case this is a common issue with Prii.
View 5 Replies2015 Prius C three. One week old. I have a 32 GB jump drive (Kingston brand) with MP3 files on it. It recognizes it, all the files on it and plays it well. But... When I turn off the vehicle and start again the music playback reverts to repeating the last file played during the previous trip.
It does this even if I try to forward to the next song, it stays on that last song repeating it. The RND (random) selection button is lit up at this point. I can get it to return to random play by 1. selecting the music app to full screen 2. Select Browse 3. sort by song - Then selecting any song and from there on it plays random files.
The real problem is that this takes time and on a trip such as a four minute drive to lunch and then the four minute return trip to work I either have to go through that process twice or I listen to the same song four times. The Browse process takes a bit of time and to be honest I am pulling out of the parking lot before it is done so distracted driving can come into play.
I've recently purchased a used 2007 toyota prius. (My 2nd prius, I also have a 2004). The driver side speaker does not play. The tweeter on that side does work, so I initially assumed it was a bad speaker, however, when I took it to my local car audio shop to get replaced he tested the speaker and it did, indeed work. He suggested I get toyota to look at it to see if it's the head unit or the wiring. It seems really weird to me that one speaker in the door would work if it was, indeed, the head unit.
View 1 RepliesWhen I use my iPod Touch in my 2010 Prius IV via USB it works great -- the song, album and artist names are all displayed properly on the Nav screen and it sounds great. But the tracks on the albums are listed and played in alphabetical order rather than the order that they appear on the album. For many albums, tracks are in context with adjacent tracks -- playing them in alphabetical order messes up that context.

I'm wondering if I would have to bypass the USB port and buy a cigarette lighter charger or can I just use the Apple USB cable at all times.
2013 Prius C with Entune. The USB connection allows me to charge my iPod (3rd generation) and iPhone 4S but I cannot play music via that connection. The system is designed to allow playback through the USB, right? I plugged in a flashdrive and was able to play music. I have tried three cables and none allow the feed from the device into the audio system. I am able to connect into the Aux port and play music.
View 1 RepliesI presently use a 16GB USB drive that has about 240 MB of 2 to 10 MB mp3 files and it works well. The reason I ask is that SirisXM is going to drop my favorite channel (69) and I was thinking of making some large files of audio capture before it goes away. Large because its easier to make and play a few than many. There might be a file size limitation (not USB storage limitation) due to the amount of memory in the audio system.
View 8 RepliesIve got an iphone 3g and a Prius with the Sat Nav, i saw a clip on you tube about a year ago with some guy playing music from his iphone via Bluetooth. Ive tried to do this and it doesn't, the phone is BT synced with the car for the handsfree phone but in the audio tab one called "BT" is grayed out im assuming thats the one i need its next to the "Aux" tab. I don't know if they guy was using some third party software or something

He said I need to buy 8GB flash drive anything else will not work and I CAN'T use folders. "All this information is listed in your owner's manual" ...
I think the current audio system is a big step back, its limitation reminds me of the $9.99 mp3 players. I was always able to use a 32GB stick, put my songs in folders, or at least be able to select the songs from a playlist. And when I started my your car again, the system would still remember my playlist. I did not have to wait 5 minutes for "gathering information" every time and than spend another 5 minutes looking for the album or composer I want to listen to.
Audio is delayed by about 2-3 seconds when I play music thru the USB and when I stream audio thru Bluetooth, there's little to no delay. Is that normal? Can it be fixed?
View 7 RepliesOwner of a 2013 Camry, So about a year and 3 months ago my radio killed itself. I had installed front door speakers and I guess they over drove the radio's amp and it fried itself. Saw the whole works, smoke, static from speakers etc. Well in Feb of 2015 I got another radio off a junker Camry and installed my factory speakers back in and it was working wonderfully... until now.
Yesterday after work I was driving home and suddenly the audio cuts out, usually i thought it was my Galaxy Note 4 because it has issues with Bluetooth but that wasn't the case this time. No sources would play audio. The radio turns on and everything. It accepts Bluetooth connections and plays CD's but there is no audio coming out. I checked all the speakers and none of them are touching metal.
