Is there a hack to add interactive graphics (shown below) to the backup camera if
[1] you don't have Intelligent Parking Assist, or
[2] you don't want to install an aftermarket kit that changes your dash interface? What's the least invasive way to add this feature?
Does the 2015 have rear cross traffic alert?
View 4 RepliesMy backup camera seems to have all of a sudden lost its aim such that the alignment marker is higher on the right than it is on the left meaning that the edge of the bumper is higher on the right as well. It just happened all of a sudden and seems to be pointed a little to the left. Any way to adjust it or is this one for the 5K mile checkup?
View 4 RepliesAfter 4k miles, I'm beginning to really like the NAV in my 450h. The lockout in motion is a pain, but the traffic alert and detour routing is wonderful. Only yesterday it sent me around a wreck on the bridge in Cincinnati, and I really enjoyed watching the masses stewing as I crossed the Ohio River on an adjacent bridge and popped up on the first exit after the traffic jam.
Making peace with the NAV seems to be mostly a matter of getting beyond the Garmin.
Anyway, now I like the Lexus NAV.
So I bought my car less than a month ago and it has less than 900 miles. The LED in my left front headlight shorted out all the lights on the left side of the car and fried the cabin fuse box apparently. I took it to Hyundai Monday and they had it until today (Friday).
They replaced the cabin fuse box and the whole headlight assembly. They hand me the key FOB and say here you go all set. I get into the car and go to reverse out of the spot and the camera doesn't even try to come on. Its not switching to a blank screen.. just stays on the radio.
The tech at Hyundai didn't have a clue how to fix it and I'm not leaving my car there over the weekend.
Having issue with their rear view camera not even turning on? I see a lot about blue screens, snowy pictures, ect. but that's not what I'm experiencing. I've hit the reset button on the head unit but that isn't working. Is there a way to do a hard reset on everything?
My wife has a 2010 camry le, and I am interested in possibly getting a higher end backup camera that works with a rear view mirror (the car does not have a nav screen).
I hear some of these cameras are infrared as well? It would be cool if I could use a Toyota system (OEM). A mirror like this would be perfect:
All of the backup camera systems I have seen (which are in Chevys) have superimposed guidelines on the camera view to align the vehicle into the proper spot between the parking lot markings. I road tested a 2014 RX350 with Nav system (with backup camera) the other day and it did not have these guidelines. It just showed a nice rear view picture but offered no assistance in aiming or aligning the vehicle when backing into the parking spot.
Is it just possible the guidelines were turned off in the Nav menu somehow? On the other brand cars, the guidelines actually curve as the steering wheel is turned -so you can use those line to perfectly back into a space. It would be a big oversight IMO if Lexus didn't build this guidance feature into their backup system.
I never noticed that the back up camera screen is purely black and white? or is there a setting somewhere to have the screen displayed in full color?

Also, is there a concern of voiding a warranty?
Over the past few months the contrast on my backup camera has been getting worse. It's gotten to the point where almost the entire picture is very hazy. I've gotten obsessive about cleaning the lens but it doesn't do any good. How to correct this issue?
View 1 RepliesI have a 2007 Prius and the MFD started to work intermittently and now has died. It is an 86110-47230. Is it more likely the MFD unit itself died or does the wiring in the dash sometimes go bad. Everything I have read suggests the MFD. My backup cam doesn’t work since the MFD died, and that is a safety issue and should be covered under some type of Fed safety regulations on a five year old car, but apparently not.
My battery tests good. Wiring connections on the back are connected well. Before I buy a used MFD and install it myself, I want to get an idea of the odds that it’s the MFD or wiring that is the problem.
Can the backup camera on the v be adjusted? Objects that are actually close look much farther away.
View 2 RepliesMy backup camera is only working about 20% of the time with no pattern to it. When I shift into reverse I get a bright white screen with colorful vertical lines in it. Everything else about my display works fine. Is there a way to reset something on this? Every now and then it works but most of the time I get the white screen with vertical colored lines. It's a 2006 package #8 with 63k.
View 13 RepliesHow is it possible that the 350 F-Sport can track cars that are possibly coming at you while you're backing up, but it can't alert you to when you're getting close to a wall or other car that is stationary (aka parking senors).. Although I did back into a space yesterday and got no beeps as the car got closer to the other cars in the camera.
Another thing is having radar assist cruise control and no front parking assist... what's up with this craziness? The systems are actually installed in the car, but not able to beep at you?!

View 7 RepliesI have a weird problem with my 2006 with HID headlights and 78k miles. When I turn on the headlights, the reverse camera turns on & so do the back-up white lights. I can clear the reverse camera by pushing any button, but the back-up lights are a big problem. No codes are being seen via ODB, everything else works great, and no fuses appear to be blown.
View 15 RepliesI recently bought aftermarket CCD camera kit from eBay for my 2014 Prius-II and got it installed by best-buy geek squad. But camera is not working due to power problem. According to best buy technician, Prius factory harness is not supplying power when car is put in reverse gear. I am not sure how to address this problem.

View 3 RepliesWhen I first start my truck (13 SD, 6.2 with Sync touchscreen) and shift into reverse with the backup camera screen showing and if I happen to get a new text message, the alert pops up on top of the camera image. If I click nothing at all (often don't have time to, notification is short), the home screen quadrant will then appear on top of the backup camera image with a small sliver of the camera image on top and bottom behind the home screen. If I shift out of reverse and back to reverse, I get the backup camera screen back.
Since my "deleting" messages on my truck doesn't do anything with my phone (Nexus 5), I get this problem every time I start up and go into reverse unless I wait for the alert to pop-up first and ignore it.
This started happening with the latest Sync update and I checked for any new updates, none to be had that I can see. I had it into the dealership yesterday who said they couldn't duplicate the issue although they failed to ask me to demonstrate to them with my own phone. Being I've had trouble with them in the past, that part was partly my own fault for "testing" them on that. I fail to see how a setting in my phone could control the screen behavior like this though, so I don't buy it.
With a handful of other problems related to that darn touchscreen, I've just disabled bluetooth syncing likely for good. It's pretty darn terrible.
