Our 2015 Prius 4 with 8,900 miles just suddenly stopped chirping and turning the lights off upon locking. The courtesy lights also no longer work (the lights worked last night as I approached the car but not tonight. The locking chirp/beep worked 3 hours ago but not now. Also headlights no longer go out after double clicking lock on either of the 2 fob.)

View 7 RepliesI replaced all the interior halogen lights, parking lights and license plate lights with cool white LEDs. They look good and all was fine until the last step while installing the license plate lights. I plugged one side then turn the light switch on to verify the polarity to see if bulb would come on which it did. Same process for the second license plate light but this time around after turning on the light switch to see if it was plugged in right, I noticed the brake lights didn't come on. So I flipped the switch around a few times and nothing. Now the DRLs do not come on either as well as the parking lights. The only lights that work now are the head lights and interior lights. What happened how do I fix???

I did not change the setting of this function and it was working very well last days so that when i get out from the car with my electronic key in my pocket, then the car automatically relocks after 30 second, but since yesterday no more this function is working... I thought the battery of the electronic key is low, i changed it but nothing happened.

View 7 RepliesOk so my v no longer beeps or flashes the lights when i lock it using the sks touch sensors or key fob. I just loaded up my prius v at my storage unit full of stuff to bring back to the house. It is packed to the ceiling. I had a small camping cooler at about ceiling height right behind the drivers seat on top of some other stuff. I thought if I drove gently it would be ok, well i stopped a little too fast and the camping cooler launched itself into the dash/center console, bounced off it and landed on the passenger seat.
I didn't see exactly where it impacted on the dash but there appears to be no marks or damage on the climate control or display audio. So the problem is now, maybe this just a coincidence, but when i lock the car from the outside using the FOB or the touch sensor on the door handle I just hear a faint click of the doors locking,(they doors still lock like normal) but no beep or flashing lights like before. I still get the flashing lights and beep sound when unlocking the doors. What I could have done?
I recently got a used 2007 prius as my first car; Unfortunately today the drivers side lock has stopped working. when trying to use the smart unlock, the Prius would beep many times, and the drivers door would not unlock (or lock for that matter). After getting into the car (with the mini key) I noticed that the inner lock button does not lock or unlock that door either.
All other doors function normally. The lock can be manually operated, so it's probably not mechanical.
I installed my dome light, map light, and rear license plate LEDs with no problem a couple of months ago. When my LEDs for the vanity lights came in today, I immediately went to install them. The first one on the driver's side was installed without a hitch, but after I installed the second one on the passenger side, none of the interior lights worked. The only difference in installation I can think of is that I disconnected the light on the passenger side as opposed to keeping it plugged in on the driver's side.
View 6 RepliesWhile replacing my rear cargo light, I seemed to have tripped a fuse and suddenly, cargo light + 4 door lights + dome lights stopped working.
Looked at the label on the fuse box cover, it's not obvious which fuse governs these, so I ended up testing ALL of the fuses (PITA), which are all good (used voltmeter to do the job). Everything else on the car works, power windows/locks for each door..
I have 2010 Prius, package 2. My horn stopped working a few months ago. I never got around to seeing whats wrong with it. I am not sure if it is the fuse or what ever. Where the fuse box is? Or what it can be? I did have a back up camera installed shortly before it went out...
View 2 RepliesStarted my car this morning (2010) and both low beams aren't working. When set to on, only the daytime running lights come on (and yes I made sure the light switch was turned all the way). High beams work fine. Turned car off/on but still no good.
View 10 RepliesThis morning I started my car and all was well, all gauges working. Drove 2 miles and stopped to get gas. Put some gas in my car and started it back up. My gas gauge never went up. Stayed slammed down to the E. All my other gauges were working normally except the gas. My gas light was not on saying I was on E, and I don't have a CEL.

View 1 RepliesI bought the 2012 Prius three in Apr, and the navigation was working fine, when i entered a destination. When I entered a destination, it would say, "Please drive to the highlighted route" and it would tell the turn by turn directions and in case you miss the turn, it will immediately say "Route Recalculation" and then guide you to the next turn.
Somehow this stopped working and there is no voice guidance!!! Now when I enter the a destination, it will not say anything. If you are driving in the right direction, no turn by turn voice guidance. If you miss the turn, then it will say "calculating the route". This is driving me nuts since 2-3 weeks. I must have pressed some button or deactivated it unknowingly.
I took it to the dealer and the service technician could not figure it out. They said that they have to call the Toyota Technical Service to find out ( looks like only they can call, not the owner).
They said they tried to reset it to the factory setting, but that didn't work. Not sure if they know what they are doing. I think these technicians are mechanics, but not familiar with the software and the electronic components and their operation.

View 3 RepliesI've had my car since April and it's worked great. Just recently, within the past few days, it's stopped displaying artist info when the iPod is connected via USB. Sometimes it will say "reading media" and other times it will display "no artist, not title" and give an incorrect track number such as 1/50. I've tried switching between apple iPod cords and no change. I really enjoy listening to my iPod for my drive to work (35+mi).
View 12 RepliesI have the base model GLS, but I put fogs in and hard wired them to the battery. They've been on for about 2 years now, and yesterday I went to turn my switch on under my dash and they didn't work. Fuse is fine, wires are fine, and the bulbs look fine. I'm still thinking its the bulbs though because the other day I put my header back on and I think the bulbs hit floor and kinda bent from the contact, so I'm thinking that might be it.

Checked the fuses, car alarm arms fine (so no hood up problem), and back wiper works. A call to VW says that my car isn't included in the wiper recall. So, I figured I would check here before taking the car to the shop.
