I have a leak underneath the rear right passenger door. I see some type of pan underneath there but don't know what it is. How to identify what this could be? This is 2011 Hatchback.

Symptom: Only rear left electric window and electric lock are not working. They are not responding to driver side control or remote key control. Electronics on other 3 doors function normally.
My '11 Prius has developed a problem where the rear passenger door will not open from the inside. It will open from the outside. All other doors function as they should.
View 2 RepliesI just recently had to replace the extension housing on my truck. Well after doing so I went to start it up and top off the tranny fluid and it started to leak out on the left rear side of the transmission near the extension housing. Ive looked and looked and found that the fluid is coming from the top right in front of the extension housing but when i clean it off there seams to be no holes or cracks. It isn't the housing seal, cause it pools in front of that. What could be the issue? My truck is a 01 F250 4X4 5.4L.

View 6 RepliesLast night we had torrential rains in Baltimore. This morning there were drops of water on the CD's on my passenger side seat, and the seat itself was pretty damp. Also water on the floor near the passengers' side door.
I checked the windows and the sunroof and all were completely closed. I had opened the internal slider on the sunroof yesterday to get some light. Usually I keep the slider closed. Maybe it was leaking even before yesterday, but I didn't notice it because the slider was catching the water.
Very disappointing. My 2011 Prius is less than a year old. I got the sunroof because of the solar cooling, which I like. I didn't think I'd have a problem with a well built car like the Prius, which I am otherwise very pleased with.
I'll wait until the next heavy rain, see if I can pinpoint the exact source of the leak, and then have it repaired while still under warranty.
I have a problem with my driver side rear door's child safety lock. The safety lock is STUCK/BROKEN on the lock position and i cant get it back to normal... The door could only be opened from the outside right now at all times.
I took the door panel off too see if i could do anything to make it unstuck but very unfortunate...
The safety lock is a whole module itself. I bought it to my mechanic he checked it out and said it cannot be fixed and has to be replaced and he quote/estimated me just the part alone is roughly $300?
How much the part would cost in Sewell? I tried looking it up but cant locate it
I am scared. The cooling fluid of my 2000 F-250 is brownish. I am not sure if it is Oil, which would be bad. Is there a way that I can find out what it is? I'd like to get an opinion of my own before I take it to a repair shop.

View 1 RepliesI have a leak from the rear driver caliper, it seems to come from behind the bolts that hold the emergency brake to the caliper (I had my wife push the pedal repeatedly so I could find the issue). I haven't been able to remove the retaining bolts (the allen head bolt doesn't want to play) to see what the issue might be.
View 18 RepliesA few days back, the low tire pressure light came on, and I checked that the LR tire was only about 20 psi while the other three were ok (>30). I inflated LR to ~35 psi and the others as well. The warning light disappeared.
Today while I was filling gas, I checked the LR, and it is already down to 30 psi (hot) whereas the other three were about the same.
Is this just a small leak/puncture or something else (valve stem, etc)?
At 46,400 miles of gentle driving, my left wheel bearing failed on my 2010 Prius, which was not covered by warranty because it is not 'drive train'. I was told there was nothing I did or could have done to cause this. I have had 4 Toyotas, two with over 200,000 miles, and never had this serious a repair (that wasn't my fault!). Am I being unreasonable to think this is unusual? I'm wondering if this car is going to continue to be a problem.
View 19 RepliesAs I was changing my oil last week I noticed that there was a thick, dark green fluid near my front left shock and on the automatic transmission filter. The fluid appeared to be sprayed on the underbody of the car. I am unable to notice any change in automatic shifting or in the front left shock. The photo shows the filter (?transmission filter) on the top, the shock is at the bottom right. This is slightly behind the left front tire. This was not anywhere else under the car and did not appear to be road grime.

At about 3,000 miles the color of the oil was golden brown but definitely had started to turn brown but still had a golden tint. Is light brown oil normal for 5,000 miles? The oil level is OK and still near the Full mark.
View 20 RepliesWe've had our '11 Prius II now for a couple weeks, and I have run into a problem I can't seem to figure out. When I lock the car, either using the button on the FOB or the smart key, then come back and try to unlock it using the smart key, it will lock the vehicle again. I have to wait a few seconds and try the smart key again and then it will unlock. I tried the search, but haven't found any thing describing this. Am I doing something wrong?

I have powertran warranty only, so this one is not covered and when asked for the dealership for estimate, they said it would cost around 1700$.
Can i get this replacement done at local shop, if so will there be any problem to my powertran warranty ?
Walked into my garage where my 2011 Prius (have owned for 11 months, now at ~78K miles) had been sitting for about 4-5 hours after being used for a 4 mile trip. I heard a quite battery hum from the rear for about 1-2 minutes. I've heard this before... (it is not unlike the hum you hear in the front when opening the driver's door after the car has been sitting a bit.... and I've noticed that the duration of this front hum seems to be correlated with the time since last drive?). View 6 RepliesI have a 2011 SCREW Eco-Boost with a build date in April 2011. I have a gravel driveway. When I first got the truck I noticed small dark spots in the gravel but attributed it to the A/C. I parked over some fresh snow the other night and found some fluid stain on the ground in the morning. It was kind of by the motor and then a little further back. It was the color of yellow/chartruse antifreeze but the truck has pink antifreeze in the overflow tank. What is going on?

View 18 RepliesI fixed a slow tire leak today and in the process I examined the rear suspension closely. I had one rear corner jacked up and could easily see the difference in position of both rear wheels compared to the frame. The difference was only in the range of 1 inch. Mind you one wheel was in the air, and the other was bearing the doubled weight.
I also examined the substantial torsion bar with it's C-shaped cross-section and closed edges. I don't see how any additional anti-sway bars could benefit this very stiff arrangement.
I know that members that installed rear anti-sway bars raved about performance increase.
