Prius (2004-09) :: Noise When Driving On Freeway Noticeable At About 40mph
I've got a 2007 Touring with 40k miles on it. Never had any issues until about 2k miles ago, when we started noticing noise while driving on the freeway. The higher the speed, the louder the noise. It starts to be noticeable at about 40mph and gets really annoying at 65 - 75mph. It seemed to come from the RH-side, and the dealer was quick to blame it on out-of-alignment tires. Dealer 'investigation' was about 2k miles ago.
We've changed and aligned the tires this week; alignment on all four corners was almost within tolerances (off by a small amount). I've also changed the oil, since it was due.
Nevertheless, the noise is still there; now it seems to have 'moved' directly in front of the driver. What could it be?
Prius (2004-09) :: Red Triangle / Check Engine Lights Appeared When Driving On Freeway
I was on my way to work this morning when the car just stopped accelerating (or so it felt), all the dash lights came on, I pulled over to the side of the freeway (I was very lucky). Radio and a/c were still working. Powered off, powered on too soon a couple of times - the red triangle and check engine both came on again. Cooled my jets and gave it a few minutes, powered on and the red triangle was gone, but the check engine was still on. Drives perfectly, no problems w/either gas or hybrid engine.

I'm at a loss here, I bought a salvaged 2001 Prius at an insurance auction and fixed it up. After driving it for about a year the car suddenly dies on me in the middle of the freeway and i had to pull it over. the car hasn't started since. I can get it to turn on but the engine won't turn, and whenever I turn the steering wheel more than 45 degrees it makes this electrical sound the wheels jerks back to the original position and the PS message beeps on. I brought it to a dealership and they said it was a problem with the transaxle but they weren't sure.

My excursion died while driving down the road I lose everything but once I turn the key off and turn it back on it will start turning over again but don't . I let it set for a few minutes and it will start right back up like nothing every happen . this is our only transportation for now. The recent things I've done is change out the radiator and upper and lower hoses due to a tiny crack in the neck. I also changed out the hose from turbo to pipe on the hot side due to wear out hole.

Have a 2004 6.0 that stalled out while driving. Wouldn't restart. Took readings this morning. ICP was very low (below 100) and IPR was at 85. After a few times of taking readings I could get the truck to start up with an ICP reading over 500 but IPR was still at 85. When it did start up it would almost immediately die. Does this sound like an IPR problem or a oil pressure problem?

I was driving on the freeway in houston yesterday and it was about 30 degrees. The low temperature light was on... Does it make a difference when it is cold? Why would there be a light to tell u that it is cold outside?
Anyways as I was driving on the freeway the red triangle with an exclamation mark came on and disappeared. Then a minute later it went on again and on the navi screen shows high coolant temperature symbol on it. But then it would turn off right away too so is this normal because I was kind of slowing down on the freeway and the book did say something but I don't think it was an excessive speed or anything.
Prius (Gen 2) :: Liner Don't Stay Behind Lip Of Front Bumper During Freeway Driving
I recently replaced the front wheel well liner on the passenger side. The old one was shredded and I figured it had come loose. I put a new one in and made sure all fasteners are used (bought new fasteners). Still during some freeway driving the liner did not stay behind the lip of the front bumper and rubbed a small hole in it from the tire. Any way to prevent it?

OK so here's the deal. Driving around town @ lower speeds I've yet to have this problem. When driving at freeway speeds seems like between 1/4 tank & reserve all of a sudden the power just drops off . I mean like the ignition has been turned off. No throttle response .. nothing..... just begins coasting & dropping speed. When throttle is depressed... totally dead. This lasts for about 5-10 seconds then after coasting & looking where to pull off the highway all of a sudden the engine kicks back in like nothing ever happened. I have a 2011 F250 6.7 XLT crew cab with just over 50,000 miles. A couple of weeks ago while heading to work I experienced a very violent Front end bounce while driving on the freeway. My Speed was around 55-70. I experienced this front end bounce on after hitting a patched portion of asphalt on the freeway. I lost complete control of my vehicle and had to slow down almost to a complete stop in order to regain control. When I got to work I checked my tires, wheels and under carriage. I found under abnormal. Well it happened again today. Again on my way to work I hit a bumpy stop in the road and experienced this "Death wobble" (youtube it). So I decided to take it to the dealer and have it looked at. On the way there it happened a couple more times.

Yesterday while traveling on the freeway and using cruise control my 2016 Prius beeped loudly, displayed the message "Cruise Control is Unavailable" and dropped me out of cruise. I turned cruise off and back on, and got the same message. There's also an orange indicator light blinking that looks like a car hitting another car, and the "Cruise Control is Unavailable" message now displays on the info panel every ten seconds*. Collision prevention is also unavailable.
Was this something I did wrong? Is there a way to get cruise control and collision prevention back?

2 or 3 months ago i had to get my fuel pump changed due to my car dying randomly on the free way multiple times a week. The problem disappeared after changing the fuel pump, however it has started happening again recently. The car wont completely die but while going 60 mph or more, the car will suddenly lose all power and the gas pedal doesn't do anything for a couple seconds, then all power comes back and i have control of the car again. Why this is happening?

2004 F250 6.0 L. New head gaskets, ARP studs, new oil cooler, new water pump, all new hoses, new thermostat, 4" exhaust, EGR delete, new coolant bottle, radiator and cooling system flush, new injector seals and oil rail plugs all done at 98,000 miles. The truck is at 119,000 now and has been doing great since all the work. I have been frequently hauling very heavy loads and pulling cars on trailers and no problems. EOT has been staying about 7 degrees above ECT except on hill climbs. No coolant loss at all. Today suddenly while driving on the freeway (unloaded) the temps spiked. I pulled over when the ECT hit 240. Once cooled down I checked coolant level, hoses etc and since all was fine I took off again. Overheated again after about 5 miles. My understanding was that the Ford thermostat fails open if it fails. Do I have that wrong? Do I have a stuck thermostat? Some other problem?

Yesterday while driving on the freeway in EV mode, my PIP (one of the first delivered to the states) flashed the "Check Hybrid System - Stop the vehicle in a safe place" message. I was near my house so I just went home. My SG2 showed code P0C3E, which is apparently an inverter over temperature code.
Took it to the dealer this morning and they just informed me that the car needs a new inverter, but no other details… "internal fault" is what he said.
While googling, i found this recall notice:

that doesn't talk specifically about the PIP and implies that it is a software problem, but goes on to say if the car is in a fault condition the inverter will be replaced. of course, it's possible that a software problem leads to hardware damage.
Prius (2004-09) :: A/C Get Hot When Accelerating Onto The Freeway
I just bought a 2007 Prius a couple of days ago and noticed on my drive home the first day after purchase that the A/C got hot when I was accelerating onto the freeway and remained hot for a couple of minutes after that. I turned it off then turned it back on, and it blew cold air for a couple of minutes, then settled on a "cool-but-not-cold" middle ground. When I test drove the vehicle, I ran the A/C, but since it wasn't overly warm, I didn't notice that the car struggles to reach "cold" and mostly blows only "cool" air.

Tranny died 12000 miles ago and shop rebuilt tranny with new torque converter.
Problem then and now is after long freeway run 60+miles it dies and bogs down with any shift change. If it is placed in 2nd it will bogg down and die. If the tranny auto shifts it also dies. If it cools or just sits it will run again for a while. This does not happen always so it is hard to duplicate it.
Truck is not towing or even loaded most of the time and only once was it loaded when it died, the first rebuild. Truck has 249000 miles, ex v10.
So any clues as to what the shop missed last time and is it worth rebuilding again. Truck is only worth a bit more than the cost of shop time.
