View 1 RepliesHow do the vanity lights turn on? I thought they would turn on when you open the mirror but it didn't.
Is it possibly both bulbs are blown? What fuse to check?
I just bought a new Prius V 5 for the wife yesterday and I have a few questions on the whole lighting system.I set here lights today to AUTO with the Fog/Driving Lights to the ON position. We the car was started and she drove off, the Day Time running lights were not on. Will the DRL not work with the FOG lights on? Am I missing something?
View 19 RepliesMy reverse lights do not work and it is not due to the bulbs. Guy at autozone said it is the neutral safety switch. Does this sound correct? And I have done work on my truck myself, is this a difficult fix? I went ahead and bought the part, but can take it back if too hairy.
View 14 RepliesIve got a '14 Pip, no new mods all my mods are atlas 6 months old. When I turn on my headlights at night and make sure the dimmer switch, by the fuel tank button, inside the cabin, is dimmed, the headlights work, the front parking lights work, the brake lights work ( WHEN I STEP ON THE PEDAL), but they don't turn on when I just have the parking lights on with out braking. So, to clarify, the parking lights (the two strip that are used as brake lights (led)) they don't turn on. what could it be? Some fuse? I made sure to cycle the column stalk switch a few times, and the dimmer switch a few times. Could removing and reattaching battery fix it? Should I take it to the dealer (~85k miles).

I have checked fuses.
The brake and turn signal lights on my 04 f150 quit working. I've replaced all of the fuses and relays I could find from the owners manual. The windows have also quite working. What may be wrong?
View 9 RepliesI have a 2006 King Ranch and right tail and brake lights don't work. The bulb is good. The fuse diagram in the owners manual is not the fuse box I have, so I cannot id the correct fuse to see if its bad.
View 4 Replies I may have a problem with the lights behind the buttons surrounding the Multi Function Display on my 2013 Prius (ex. "SEEK", "TRACK", "AUDIO", "SETUP", "CAR", etc.). The other night I parked the car and turned the headlights off for about 5 minutes (I generally leave the lights on at all times when the car is running - day and night). I turned the lights back on and when I did I noticed that the lights behind the buttons surrounding the MFD were no longer functioning (so you really can't see the buttons in the dark now). My wife tells me that they've always been like that, but that just doesn't make any sense to me (I'm almost positive they were working before I turned the lights on and off). About 2 and 1/2 months ago I installed an is imple gateway so I could hook up a SiriusXM xv200, but I wouldn't think I would get a problem like this from doing that 2.5 months after the fact. A couple of questions:
1. Should these buttons light up (or is my wife correct that I'm crazy)?
2. Could the problem be the isimple gateway?
I turned the car on this morning and my turn signals don't work, there is no clicking sound when I flip the left or right signal and when I step on the brakes the brake lights don't illuminate. Needless to say the cars behind me don't like it when I slow down to make a turn. Can't be the bulbs and the symptoms make me think it is more than a fuse.

View 1 RepliesVisor won't switch on the vanity light when it's pulled down? Just wondering if it's a simple problem to fix.
View 2 RepliesHow to replace the bulb in the passenger side vanity mirror, (the one that comes on when you open the mirror cover)? It seems difficult to get the lens off and I've had a look in the TOC, but I can't see anything.
View 7 RepliesThe flashers and blinkers work, the taillights, brake lights and back up lamps do not.
The truck is a 2004 F250 4x4... Checked all fuses. What am I missing?
I had just picked my kid up from school, as I turn out of the parking lot my A/C stops blowing cool air, I check the A/C screen and it still says it's set on High with temp at 68. However, it is blowing very low with warm air. Seconds later the dash lights up with numerous warning lights. I'm on the highway and I'm able to gather speed, but each time I do I hear the engine revving like crazy. We only live a few miles from the school so I am able to make it home. Once home, I turn off the car and turn it back on. The only warning lights displayed now are the red triangle and the yellow check engine light. I turn the car off, pop the hood, I check the belt and it was fine. I checked the oil and it seemed fine. I check the coolant overflow and it was empty.
View 15 RepliesStarted having problems with one of the key fobs for my '09 Prius about a year ago. Battery change, perked up a bit, but then started malfunctioning. At first, wouldn't unlock car doors, then wouldn't start car. Will do so if insert into the fob receptacle, but not remotely.
I'm trying again to revive it, since it only lasted 4-5 months before. Won't unlock car doors again, etc. Unlock button does not appear to be stuck - you can feel it "clicking" when you press it, so it doesn't appear to be the stuck button problem.
How to open the remote so i can replace the battery.
View 3 RepliesI found out last night that all 3 of my brake lights are out. However, my tail lights work, and my turn-signals work. So obviously its not a big wiring deal. I was looking for the brake switch but i don't know where its at because i looked underneath. What fuse is the brake lights cause my manual doesn't have it listed. I drive a 04 Elantra GLS.
View 6 RepliesMy brake lights will not work but all other lights do, bulbs and fuse have been replaced.
View 2 RepliesI've got a 2004 Prius and I recently had some body repair done which included having the cloth interior upgraded to leather.
When I picked up my Prius from the shop, the key fob wouldn't work when it was in my pocket. I had to push the unlock key to open the door. Then when I tried to start the car w/ the key in my pocket, it wouldn't start so I had to put the key into the dash to get the car started.
Once I got home, I figured the battery was dead so I replaced it and tried again and got the same results. Then I went around the car testing the passenger door and truck and it's the same thing, it won't unlock w/out pushing the button on the key fob.
I'm just wondering while under regenerative braking, is the car braking with only the front two wheels? And four wheel braking starts when the friction brakes engage? Or does the rear drum brakes always engage even though the front is braking through the electric motor?
