How to fix the touch screen. It no longer responds to touch.

View 3 RepliesI have a 2010 (IV) and the screen stopped responding to touch, I looked it up and seems like a common issue in the 2010.
View 1 RepliesThe touch screen calibration is off. I have to push areas about 1/2 inch above the true area to get response. I've tried the power button/lights on off to get to the diagnosis screen but it first goes to the system check screen. At that point the menu button in upper right is inaccessible because the area needed to be touched is above that beyond the screen area. Is there another way to get to the diagnosis menu to ultimately get to the touch screen calibration?
View 2 RepliesI have a 2009 Prius with 65,000 miles and have recently noticed sensitivity trouble with the touch screen. At times it will not react to my button presses and other times if I touch one part of the screen the touch will be registered in another area of the screen. Usually I turn the screen off (if I am able to get the touch of the off button to register) and restart later.
View 9 RepliesMy Prius Navigation Sceen/Climate Control/Info screen will not respond to touch input. When I try to input anything, when I tough the screen, buttons to right of where I am touching come up. For example, on the info screen, when trying to go to the settings screen, all I get is the numeral zero.
View 2 RepliesI had my 07 prius detailed today and it looks real nice BUT, I started it up afterwards and the touchscreen was in diagnostic mode and the warning lights on the dash were acting up. The warning lights seem to be OK now except that the tire pressure indicator flickers like it is partially shorted. The issue with the touch screen is that it alternates every 10-15 seconds between diagnostic mode and the regular display but only when the ICE is running. If I am just sitting in shutdown idle ( like at a stop light) it behaves fine.
View 8 RepliesSo, I had heard this was happening frequently and now my navigation screen has stopped responding to touch inputs.
It looks like my Lexus platinum extended warranty has paid it's self off!
For those that have had the entire central control module replaced by Lexus with (I assume a refurbished/manufactured) one, have they held up? Are the repaired units anymore robust than the originals?
My car is an 2008, has the weak connections to the touch screen been addressed in the later vehicle builds?
Ok...this is weird. It works for the back but not for the front. How to get it to work again?
View 4 RepliesI bought a 2015 Prius V Four on June 12, 2015 after my 2014 Prius V Five was Totaled in an accident after being dropped of for Service at another dealership (true story and for a different post). I do love the car but three days later, the Touch Screen intermittently started freezing. This is a problem known to Toyota. I don't know why there is not a recall...the Service Department will not act on it because they cannot duplicate the error. I'll be sure to video this next time it happens. I should have researched better..
View 1 RepliesThe nav screen on my 2010 prius has recently stopped responding to touch inputs. All the function buttons seem to work, that is, the map displays and follows the car, the AM, FM, CD, setup, info-phone, dest, etc displays all show when called up but none of them can be changed or adjusted via the touch screen. Any way to reactivate it without pulling the whole unit, maybe resetting or rebooting?
View 7 RepliesBought a 2011 Prius three just before the 2012s came out. Can the audio system in the 2011 be repalced with the 2012 touchscreen w/o nav and still function with the steering wheel controls?
View 6 RepliesWhen sitting in my life C with the power on listening to music there is no clock available on the touch screen. Any mods for this?
Nexus 7 ?
I have 2012 prius with touch screen display media center for the phone, not the navigation.
I iPhone linked to it.when you get in the car iPhone connects right away, no problems here, the problem is this:
If you have media center on phone mode, the contacts not always there, sometimes you see it, sometimes button is not highlighted and also when this happens dial pad goes away with contacts too. only thing I can push is speed dial. Phone works for speed dial, but that's it.
This can happen few times during my driving, sometimes more sometimes less, but for some ironic reason always not there when I need to use it.I try to enable or disable auto contacts update, that didn't work. And I have my iPhone updated, so I have new one now, and same problem, so its not the phone for sure.
I just rescued a 2005 base from the baking florida sun, sat for an unknown amount of time, paint shot, steering wheel cover falling apart both easy to fix so I was wondering if there is a plastic replacement screen for the MFD and where to get it....
Jump started the car,did some stop and go's to get the main battery to show a charge added some fresh gas then drove it 82 miles home..saying 52.2 MPG battery fully charged so I think its worth fixing the cosmetics.
The info screen on my 2005 Prius shows up black. When I push one of the buttons, it gradually goes to its normal brightness, stays that way for about 10 seconds, then goes black again. The buttons all work while its lighted.
View 3 RepliesRecently, i just bought an multi-information display panel (with touch screen support) to integrate into my RX330 which is a non touch screen NAV display panel.
The 2nd hand multi-information display panel is from a 2004 RX330 and what are the socket behind the display panel meant for.
what is the 4 socket connectors as indicated in the red circle in the image should be connected to?
Beginning yesterday, my touch screen and radio work only part of the time. It started with the radio just going silent for a few seconds at a time. Today, and this seems odd, I can mostly make it fail by starting car with foot on brake. I can mostly make touch screen and radio work normally by starting it with with foot off the brake. I considered fuse, which is unlikely, but... According to manual, touch screen and audio are on same fuse as clock, and clock is working fine.
View 2 RepliesPrius 2004 with 86K miles. My brake led light on the driver side stopped working completely the other day. For some time now (6 months) i knew the top led of the brake light was not working, but yesterday I discovered that the whole led is failing. tail and parking light on the same assembly are working fine. I pulled off the plastic door inside the trunk and I checked connections for faulty ones but everything was tight in its place. Is there anything else I can do before preparing to go to the "butcher" dealer?
View 3 RepliesWhile driving home from work today all my control functions stops working. All the steering wheel buttons, radio functions, and the center display screen all froze up. It wasn't until I restarted to car for everything to work again. What all that components have in common?
View 10 RepliesA week ago my aux input stopped working (ipod plugged in but won't show up as an option on the audio console).
View 2 RepliesToday I was driving to my office and suddenly my a/c stopped cooling. I reached my office nd parked the car. 5 hrs later I got the car from parking and everything worked fine. Again about the same distance a/c stopped cooling. And 2 mints later, following signs came on and I have taken the pictures. I am wondering what is about? Love prius but don't know japanese.
