Scan gauge II keep going blank !
View 4 RepliesScan gauge II keep going blank !
View 4 RepliesMy scan gauge has begun to go blank every minute or so. Any fix?
View 5 RepliesMy ScanGauge just went blank, which was nuisance because I like to monitor it in the mountain climbs. It felt like a 'naked' dash without it. My separate pyrometer was the only additional info I had. The ScanGauge only has a few thousand miles on it. Wondering how reliable these things are before considering getting another, or inquiring about a fix I know I will first have to double check that the OBII port is still OK, but I expect it is.
View 11 RepliesPurchased a used 2005 Prius with 30,000 on the clock. Have put 5,000 miles on the car with no problems. Recently the check engine light came on and my Scan Gauge indicated a trouble code of "P0000". Cleared the code and four days and 500 miles later the check engine light returned with the same code. Car runs great even with the light on. Have check the fuel cap which was and is tight.
View 2 RepliesCan I read oil pressure on my scan gauge II ? If so, how do I do it?
View 14 RepliesI could have sworn that I read somewhere on here how you can use the Scan Gauge II to change the reverse beep, but like they always say I cant find it now.
View 12 RepliesI am about 50 miles from El Paso and 350-400 from home, broken down on hwy right now, all the dash lights lit up and my scan gauge says p0a93 the inverter pump thing. Nothing has been worked on or messed with so i should have no air in the lines etc
Can I drive it like this to El Paso or home? Car seems to be running fine. Car is under toyota warranty so i don't want to screw anything else up.
I have 2012 Prius C, I want to monitor my transmission fluid temp with my scan gauge II. I watch the MG1 and MG2 temps, which can get very high, like 215 F. I hope this isn't the trans fluid temp as well.
View 5 RepliesI have googled for this and searched the typical sites but cannot find the PID to monitor the MAF with my scan gauge II. Am I blind or does it even exist?
View 1 RepliesI'm trying to chase down a couple of issues and I need to be able to monitor the coolant (and oil) temps. I've downloaded the manual and the specific 6.0 X Gauge commands but don't see the coolant temps listed.
View 8 Replies2005 f350 6.0, parked in my shop and the batteries were dead after 2 weeks on vacation, (I left a few items plugged into 12vdc ports charging) charged it up and started right up. Next day cruising down the road about 75 the wrench icon showed up, strange. I reviewed my scan gauge and only thing not correct was my boost, it was 20lbs plus, idles at 14lbs. dash gauge appears normal.
Next morning I turned on the key, turned on my scan gauge engine is not running and the reading show 14.4lbs on my scan gauge. so..... adding the 14.4 to the scan gauge reading thru the drive cycle. so my computer thinks it is seeing 20-30 boost during acceleration. A bad sensor......... but don't know which one.
I'm looking to buy a used 2005-2007 6.0L and bought a ScanGauge to take with me when I look at the next truck I'll be considering. I dont have a truck now and I see that the ScanGauge derives power from OBD port of the truck. Is there any other way to set it up in advance?
View 9 RepliesThe MFD in my '04 has gone blank. Completely. Not the intermittent or weird problems listed in the infamous TSB, just Blank! I get the Prius splash screen, dimly, for about a second, then... nothing. However, the functions still work! For example, touching the screen at the approximate spot where, say, the fan control would be... and the fan setting changes (and you hear a beep). Car has only 40K miles....
View 5 RepliesI have a 2008 Prius, MFD died one day, screen completely dark and all buttons on it are unresponsive. I used a voltmeter to check the 12v battery which had troubles last winter (had to jump it once) and it was at about 10.6v so I just replaced it with an Optima battery. Sadly the MFD is still blank.
The MFD actually came on for a second a couple weeks ago which led me to believe it was still functional and just not getting enough power from a failing 12v.
I have very recently purchased a 2011 GX. Everything seems to be in working order, aside from the "multi-information display" in the gauge cluster. While the electronics options screen functions as described in the manual, pressing the menu button results in a blank screen instead of switching to the customization and/or driver information screens.
View 3 RepliesI came across a post where someone said it was possible to add a gauge/setting to the blank "gauge display" screen. I've searched and searched but can't find the post. Ho to add to the gauge display blank screen.
View 14 Repliesquestion to the smart people out here in prius land. Plug in my scan tool and it shows the mileage as 4219 mile but yet the dash in the car show 4334 miles why would they both not be the same.
View 12 RepliesMy Lincoln LS 2004 V6 3.0 has check engine light flash. It says the Engine Cylinder 1 and 2 misfired with computer scan. I know the cylinder 1 is in the front of passenger side, but I do not know where the cylinder 2 is. If it is in the rear of cylinder 1 on passenger side, and I want to change the cylinder 2 ignition coin pad, do I need to remove the engine part on top it?
View 14 RepliesI took the Prius on a ski trip and halfway to our destination the speedometer display went blank and has not yet come back to life. It was fairly cold outside (-5 F) and I have seen other people blame the cold weather for a Generation II Prius.
View 19 RepliesIt has the typical Triangle of death, brake light, check engine in the dash, along with the PS, main battery and exclamation on the main screen.
The car won't start. 12V battery is newer.
when I try to check the codes on both my scanners, they go wacko. One refuses to connect and the other goes blank, so I can't get any codes.
The battery went dead on my 2010 Prius and when I had AAA jump start the car the clock plus the display with odometer, mpg, hybrid battery graph etc, no longer light up. Everything else seems to work.
Is there any easy way reset it other than taking to the dealer? (Could a fuse have blown etc.?)
