I am hearing a single BEEP, about every 4 minutes, when I am driving. What the heck is it? I can't figure it out, looked in the Manual.
I found the Internal Alarm on Page 432, don't think it is that. The key is in my pocket, the car is on, I am driving! I've also removed the key from my pocket and set it on the front passenger seat, darn BEEP continues.
I just recently purchased a 2011 RX 350 AWD SFP w/ ebony interior for the wife. She loves the car and it drives like a dream.
However lately there's been a weird single beep that occurs every 15 minutes or so. I've tried replacing the key fob battery, making sure no interior/exterior lights are on, and making sure all doors/sunroof are closed. I tried locking the door to see if it works as well but no dice. It doesn't affect anything in anyway as everything is operating as it should.
What a single beep followed by the word "Problem" across the top of the Touchscreen means? I can't find it in the manual.
View 2 Repliesunlike a lot of my fellow prii folks, i love the beeps. My favorite one is the confirmation of locking the doors by touch of handle and also unlocking by touch. Believe it or not i even like the backup beep which is kind of like a nice confirmation of "yo, dude! we are going backwards" but the most important one for me is the long single loud beep. happened the other day when i got out of my car to get a coke and the car emitted a continuous loud shrill beep as i started to walk away. I was still in drive.
View 3 RepliesFor the last couple weeks, every time I shut down my car, it would beep. A single, two-second beep. It would beep after my morning commute and again after my evening commute. Every time, I would tell myself, "I should really look that up."
As is typical, I kept forgetting to search for it. I remembered seeing something like it and I was thinking that perhaps it was a low 12v battery warning but I just got a new 12v last fall. I put it off and put it off.
Recently, my Prius has been randomly giving me the single, long warning beep when I try to lock it by touching the handle. The car is definitely not still on, and the key is in my pocket when it happens. I've checked the doors, and none are ajar. It's not 100% consistent, but happens about 50-75% of the time. When it happens, I can lock the car with the key or keyfob - but touching the handle just gets me the long beep and no lock.
View 12 RepliesIt was such a nice day today that I popped the Sunroof open on my shinny new 2013 Prius which I haven't had a chance to do until today. When I parked the Prius and opened the door to get out, I heard a 'single beep' sound. Confused and not knowing exactly what that 'single beep' was intended for, I proceeded out of the Prius and touched the button to lock the doors. But due to my absentmindedness, I then noticed that I had left the Sunroof 'OPEN'.
However, I couldn't believe that the doors actually locked and the Prius didn't do any other kind of additional alarming with the Sunroof left open. So, I presume that this 'one single beep' I heard when I opened the door was intended to inform me that the Sunroof was left open. It's a good thing that I wasn't in a hurry today and noticed it because I didn't know what that single beep was meant for.
About 3 weeks ago our Gen III (Prius III with Nav and Solar) began generating a single standard duration (maybe 1 second, similar duration to reverse beep) beep each time the driver's door is opened. It only occurs with the driver's door and happens whether the car is locked, unlocked, started or not. We had our reverse beep-beep converted to a single beep about 2 months ago and now this single beep is annoying each time we open the driver's door whether we are inside our outside of the car. We could not find anything in the user manual that described why this beep would continue occurring.

A/C starts to blow warm air if i drive the car more than 30min. look like once the engine heats up its start to blow hot air. What will be the issue?
Only twice i got the VSC and Engine Check light. but it went off after 2 days. i Took it to the auto shop and did a scan, they said its giving lots of code (codes like: C1241, U0073, U0123,U0124, U0126, U0293, U0111) and they have reset the codes. and told if you get warning lights again then they can try.
My '07 started making three very quite beeps while driving, happens about every 15 minutes. It sounds like it might be coming from under the passenger seat. Mileage on vehicle 168000.

I have a 90 mi. commute round trip, I will check again if this turns on and stays on. For now, it is off. what could be causing this?
View 1 RepliesI noticed yesterday that when I push the power tailgate button on the dash to open it, it made a single beep and didn't open. I could only get it to open the tailgate after I unlocked the doors. I also noticed that the key fob wouldn't open the tailgate from outside the vehicle while the doors were locked. I never noticed this before. Is this normal?
View 9 RepliesI have a 2010 Chevy Equinox and I hear a pinging noise when my car is idling and when I drive below 40m.p.h. It sounds like a diesel engine, when it isn't. I have the 2.4L Ecotech direct injection. The dealership says this is normal, but why is it so noisy. What if anything can I do about the noise or is there a problem with the Equinox?

It's not the doors locking because that happens a few seconds later when I speed up.
I've got a dead module (and the dealer wants over $3k to replace the whole battery). I just read most of the excellent thread on replacing a single module from my battery, and I think I can do it.
Where I'm hesitant is the rebalancing. Back in 2013, it sounds like with $400 worth of chargers it could be done in 6 days. A later post referenced the Reaktor 300W charger. I can get one of those for $121.
Yesterday while traveling on the freeway and using cruise control my 2016 Prius beeped loudly, displayed the message "Cruise Control is Unavailable" and dropped me out of cruise. I turned cruise off and back on, and got the same message. There's also an orange indicator light blinking that looks like a car hitting another car, and the "Cruise Control is Unavailable" message now displays on the info panel every ten seconds*. Collision prevention is also unavailable.
Was this something I did wrong? Is there a way to get cruise control and collision prevention back?
I've been noticing this one single "metallic" click sound a few months ago, it happens whenever I turn the steering wheel a little over 90 degrees.
The steering intermediate shaft recall has been done summer of last year. I'm not sure if that has anything to do with this sound I'm hearing.

If you watch this video, you need to turn it up really loud to hear the faint click sound every time I turn the steering wheel past 90 degrees.
Has 118,000 miles and we have replaced speed sensors and changed transmission fluid and updated computer software. It runs perfectly for 30 minutes whether driving in town or highway but then hesitates and jerks when shifting from 1st to 2nd and downshifting also. After it shifts into 3rd, it is fine. Repair shop says it could be gear box or computer problem. No one in town seems to know what it is for sure. 2004 Saab 9.3 2.0T
View 2 RepliesI have started to notice one beep when I turn off the car. This doesn't happen all the time, but it appears to be happening more often. There are no unusual displays and the car runs fine.
