View 5 RepliesI have swapped my stock radio for an anew head unit. After doing this i got now the airbag light permanent on. (It doesn t blink). Normally this light should be off while driving.
I don't want to go to the dealer to reset it. I already did the basic stuff like checking the airbag fuses and disconnect the negative battery connector for a while. No difference.
Ok I just bought my 2004 santa Fe last Saturday. I washed and detailed the entire car even washed under the hood with the washer from the car wash like I have done many times before on other cars. On sunday the air bag light came on. Could have this been from me washing under the hood or is there a true problem. How do I check the air bag system and how can I reset the light.
View 6 RepliesI have a 2008 prius and had to change my drivers side airbag recently. Before it was changed, it started just fine, but now after it was changed and the airbag computer was reset the car doesn't start. It does shift from park to neutral, but not into drive, reverse or B position.

I have a unique situation:
•No passenger: light is "Airbag" - No red flashing seat belt sign
•Passenger with seat belt: light is "Airbag" - No red flashing seat belt sign
•Passenger with no seat belt: light is "Airbag" - No red flashing seat belt sign
I have no other warning lights on the dash.
I tried to check to check if there are any loose wires/connectors under the passenger seat but everthing looks ok.
Is there a blown fuse?
Last night, my 2008 Prius was hit from the rear. The bumper was damaged as well as a few starches on the hatch. However the latch for the hatch was move forward so the hatch no longer latches. Also during the collision, my daughter's heavy backpack was throw against the back of the passenger seat with enough force to hurt her back.
The airbag warning light remains on along with the dash indicator saying the airbag is off. Does mean all the airbags are disabled? Can this be reset? The car will be professionally repaired but I still need to drive it until I can get it repaired.
I have a 1996 Geo Metro LSI 1.3L, automatic trans.
ISSUE #1
The airbag light will not go off. I replaced the air bag control module under the shifter console and the front impact sensor near the hood latch. No effect. What is my next step? I was thinking of replacing the steering column sensor/module.
ISSUE #2
Note: I also replace the ECU to no avail. I did this because the check engine light keeps coming on. I clear the code, but "low emission threshhold) code keep returing. Does this mean my catalytic converter is gone, or could it be the O2 sensors?
A squirrel chewed through some wires in my 2009 Toyota Corolla. My left headlight went dim and my airbag light came on, all within a matter of days. I had the wires repaired and the airbag light never went off. I waited for months until I found out that my airbags won't deploy if I am in an accident. I did some research and from what I gathered until the problem is fixed the light will remain on, (Problem cannot be reset).
I took it to the same guy who fixed the wires .The code that came up was a faulty module. He said since my bags did not deploy the module most likely tripped and he could try to reset it. He tried to do it manually and by the SRS reader with no luck and told me I should go to a shop with a more advanced reader so they could try to reset the module and if that doesn't work go to Toyota.
Can this problem be reset? If it is reset how do I know there still is not a problem that needed to be fixed?
My 2007 (with Nav package and aftermarket Sirius radio) recently started losing channel settings on the Sirius (not on the FM radio!), the dash clock resets, and, recently, the miles-per-gallon and miles driven since last fill-up reset to zero. These events are sporadic, but have started occurring more often. The dealer seems unable to figure out the problem.
View 8 RepliesTPMS light comes on. Properly inflated all four tires, then attempted to reset the TPMS system. The procedure says to hold the button until the light blinks three times. Having done this in the past, I know that the light should stop blinking when the reset button is released. Now, the light continues to blink after releasing the reset button. When in regular drive mode, the button is continuously on.

View 3 RepliesJust had a flat tire. Was in a construction zone on an interstate so had to drive on the flat for a half a mile to get to a pullover spot. Had tires replaced at a Sears auto (only place open). But now can't reset the light on the dash. One thread said to push the reset button under the steering column while starting the car, but that doesn't work.
View 1 RepliesI have successfully gotten Techstream running properly and just bought a new brake position sensor and will be putting it in which I am hoping will fix the problem with all the lights.
View 19 RepliesI changed the oil. Then I needed to reset the maintenance light. I followed the owners manual directions, which worked and I saw the 00000000 in the odometer. Now all the warning lights are on and the car won't start. I suspect it's related to the order or timing of pushing the start button but I'm afraid to try too many times. What this is?
View 9 RepliesI have a 2005 Prius. Recently the headlight leveling system finally bit the dust. I will get it replaced sometime soon. Meanwhile, I'd like to reset the emergency light on the dash, the triangle with ! inside. As well, I'd like to remove the icon from the display unit. How I might do this?
View 2 RepliesMy 2007 airbag sensor does not respond to a weight of 20 pounds or more, it continues to read "off". The dealer said the problem is in the female end of the seat belt; however, the seat belt sensor works perfectly. It sounds like the wrong diagnosis to me.
View 6 RepliesI noticed today in my new to me 2007 that the dash is lifted a little where the airbag is on the passenger side. Should I be concerned?
View 12 RepliesThe air bag light on the dashboard has come on. I took the car into my dealership. The upshot is they said they'd have to rip the interior apart to track the problem or "Break in the floor wiring harness."
View 19 RepliesMy airbag warning light came on yesterday in my new/used 2005 Prius Gen 2, and after a moment of thinking there was a a serious malfunction, I have deduced that it's because I had just put in an infant car seat behind the passenger seat. Evidently any pressure exerted against the passenger seat back causes the airbag warning light to illuminate.
View 19 RepliesOk, now I'm still trouble shooting my newly purchased 2006, I have the problem with the passenger airbag light with "airbag off" constantly lit. On my 2008, there is usually just the "airbag" light lit and when someone sits on the passenger seat, it will determine to light the "on or off" light.
View 3 RepliesI dropped my car off two Thursdays ago for servicing. I planned to leave the car with them overnight because I needed the 150,000 mi servicing, the steering extension shaft recall, an oil change, and a new battery. The technicians performed a safety check as per the 150,000 mi servicing and reported nothing wrong with the airbag system.
I picked my car up at the end of the following day. When I started up my car, I noticed that the read air bag light was on in the car. Since the servicing center was closing and they had reported to me that my car was safe, I did not think there was a safety issue. I left with my car and parked it in my driveway for the weekend.
On Monday, while driving, I noticed that the lights in my steering wheel were not on and none of the buttons worked (cruise control, volume, temperature, ect.). I called the Toyota dealership that afternoon and left a message. They called me back on Tuesday and scheduled me to come in on Thursday.
