Is it possible for me to enable the beep when locking the car?
The manual says it should be there by default so I expect that it has been turned off. If it is a short beep, I would like to have it back.
Will I be able to do this once I get my SG2 working with my 2007 Prius (European) ?
Not sure if this has been figured out yet. I did a quick search but didn't really find an answer.
View 2 RepliesI'm a filmmaker and I want to be able to turn on the back up camera on the dash while driving forward, aim another video camera at it and record. (while I'm sitting in the passenger seat of course). Better yet - is there a way to tap into the backup cam so I can record directly from that while driving forward? Is there a 'finger dance' I can do to allow this and override the fact that it automatically shuts off while in Drive? I have a 2007 (2nd gen Prius)...
View 7 RepliesSo i think I'm loosing my mind but i could swear that when i got my Pri V it beeped and locked doors once when i would touch the door handle or remote. For some reason now it locks the doors twice and no beep on locking. It also locks the doors twice whenever i put it in drive now also. Is this normal?
View 8 RepliesI locked my 2013, and noticed there was a delay in the single beep when I locked it, Weird, went on with my day. I just tried to lock it again, and there was no beep or signal light flash. I tried my other FOB, same thing. Unlocking works just fine. I tried turning the car on and back off again, no dice.
View 2 RepliesI used to have other car that used to make a loud beep upon locking. My prius 2010 III is bit nimble and social. It blinks and makes a little chirp. I would rather need a loud beep so to locate and ensure my car is locked especially in noisy environments.

View 5 RepliesI drive a 2009 Elantra SE. We have not been using our key fobs for years. We just prefer to open the car with a key and lock it using the auto door lock button in inside of vehicle when we exit. When we shut the door after locking it in this way, the hazards blink once.
We just moved to an area with more petty property crime. Does the above procedure enable the anti-theft alarm, or do you have to use the fob? If I recall, locking the car with the fob causes the hazards to also blink, but the horn also sounds if you press the fob twice.
Recently, my Prius has been randomly giving me the single, long warning beep when I try to lock it by touching the handle. The car is definitely not still on, and the key is in my pocket when it happens. I've checked the doors, and none are ajar. It's not 100% consistent, but happens about 50-75% of the time. When it happens, I can lock the car with the key or keyfob - but touching the handle just gets me the long beep and no lock.
View 12 RepliesIt's been my goal to get my car to run a 13 on the stock turbo for years. I got bored last night and decided to roll out to the track and finally did it. In the past I had tried just about everything, pulled the back seats out, ditched the spare, and hours of data logging timing trying to dial it in just right but never could. Of course last night I was running with a full interior, spare and even had a passenger with my timing still pulled back -2.25 deg from the summer heat, didnt even check my oil or air pressure and I pull this off

There's no beep or flashing parking lights when I lock my doors on my 2011 Prius 2 when using the remote or the door handle sensor. I still get the 2 beeps/light flashes when I unlock. The lock beep was working fine and then just stopped. The doors still lock fine with the remote or handle sensor, just no beep/flash.

Hold the alarm button on the fob, no luck. when I lock or unlock the car, the lights don't flash and the horn doesn't beep. My ex had an 03 GLS 2.0, alarm/lock/unlock worked without a problem, so why mine doesn't work.

I took the door apart and i couldn't take the inner metal panel to inspect the lock. How to take the inner metal panel out?
