The outlet holes do not appear to be blocked and I cannot hear a pump motor running when trying to clean the rear window. Is there a separate pump to supply fluid to the rear window?

View 2 RepliesHave a 2011 Golf TDI hatchback. Located in Toronto, Canada where it's about - 20 Celsius with windchill today. Currently have no washer fluid coming through the front or rear nozzles. Thought I was out of fluid but tank is full. Tried piercing the nozzles but nothing changed and they don't look blocked. Don't think it's the weather either as my car is parked in my garage overnight. When I try to spray I can hear the mechanism trying to spray but nothing comes out.

View 10 RepliesA while back I noticed the rear window washer wasn't spraying much water onto the window, then found water inside the boot (trunk) and saw there was water dripping onto the parcel shelf when I operated the rear washer and wiper.
As the car was only 6 months old at that time I didn't go fiddling around with things, thought I'd best wait until the 15,000 km service was due, which was today.
When I brought it in for the service I told the Man it was leaking. At pick up time he said they didn't find any leaks so I put the washer and wiper on and after a few seconds there was water dripping inside the rear window. So the car went back in to the mechanics who took out the plastic stoplight lens and after a few minutes the Man said that the plastic around where the water comes out was cracked.
OK, well fix it then I said. He felt it was unlikely that Hyundai would consider this a warranty issue. He agreed there was no other damage around the area and that I couldn't have caused this by backing into anything but I would need to buy a whole new lens.
Having problem with a few drops of fluid occasionally dripping from the rear hatch washer nozzle? I notice it happening once a day or every other day after accelerating. Is there a quick fix or is it going to be a take it in, order parts, bring it back sort of deal?
View 23 RepliesOn our '06 Avalon Limited, my wife had parked the car was parked in the driveway and about 30 min later I walked by and heard that the wiper fluid pump motor was running non-stop. The only way I could get it to shut off was to loosen the fender liner and reach in and un-plug it. I'm thinking relay, but would it be that, the switch, the motor itself, where should I start and how can I tell or diagnose short of replacing them?

Looks like the hose is made of some plastic material that doesn't like flexing very much. I guess I opened the rear hatch enough times to break it.
Is this a common problem? Is there a proper size coupler available to fix this?
The front fluid sprayer has never worked (owned my 2nd gen for about 3 months now @ 85k miles).

Yesterday I filled the reservoir and now I don't even hear the pump. It's been very cold so I thought maybe the fluid had frozen? I can't find the fuse listed for the washer fluid pump and was going to check that first. Where is the pump even located? 2006 F350

I need to install a new washer fluid pump. My question is what is the best way to get the old one off and the new one on? Should I go from under the wheel well? Or is there another easier way to get to it? The truck didn't come with an owners Manuel and I cant find anything about how to do this.
Noticed that the windshield washer fluid level is ALWAYS low, needing significant amount to refill, even when not used? I'm not talking weeks or months, so that evaporation could be the cause, but rather DAYS. No evidence of leaks under vehicle, either. What could do this?

Is there anything in particular that I need to check? I thought I recalled reading about an issue concerning this but I've not found it.
I have an 05 F-150 SuperCrew XLT 4x4. I just went to use my wipers and its not spraying anything. The driver side nozzle drips a little bit out, the passenger side does nothing. I can hear the motor engage and there is fluid in the reservoir. I can't see any leaks.
View 10 RepliesCurios problem with my car. When I spray washer fluid quickly the wipers do not start. I can literally empty litres of fluid on the windshield and they still will not activate. Now on other cars I have had you can play chicken and pull quickly on the lever and this I can do a off a couple of times without activating the wipers but not constantly. I had it in for service and the mechanic said he has never seen this problem before and does not even know how to fix it. It does get annoying that you have to waste a lot more fluid to activate the wipers "auto" function by holding it on a few seconds longer than needed.

problem with washer fluid - the motor seems to work, but nothing comes out of the tubes...
I know the motor works, cuz there is water all over the engine compartment (near the battery) and down... soaked there...
so, my guess is that the rubber has come off the pump? where is the pump first off, and second, how do I get to all that? - just remove the cowl?
any diagrams or photos would be great!
What could the cause of the rear wiper on an '06 RX330 not gripping well to the window be? Could it need a new spring, or could the entire assembly need to be changed? What troubleshooting can be done in this situation?
