View 1 RepliesI am trying to diagnose my fuel system, but I cant seem to find the fuel pump relay. My truck is an 2004 f250 crew cab work truck with 5.4L. it seems that the relay can be mounted anywhere from behind the radio or in the engine compartment as well as built in to the fuse box under the steering wheel.
View 14 RepliesIts it true, that the fuel pump relay is hid in the fuse and relay box, and non serviceable ?

I am looking for the location of the fuel pump relay on a 1997 Chevy S10. There is a bank of relays on the firewall on the passenger side, but I do not have any info on which relay is for the fuel pump.
I briefly looked at this vehicle where they had it towed to after it had stalled on the road and they couldn't get it to start.I had no tools at the time, but not hearing the hum of the pump, and no fuel at the test port on the rail, all pointed to a fuel problem. The owners boyfriend took over from there and replaced the pump this past Saturday and still no pump.
I suggested that he find the right relay and test it, but he skipped that part. Which of those realy are for the pump??????
I am getting code p0420 and want to replace the air/fuel ratio sensor and cannot figure out who to reach and remove the connector to the sensor. How to do it? I read several threads about it and saw instructions for the rear O2 sensor but not the fwd air/fuel ratio sensor.
I hope to remove it from below and avoid removing the inverter. From under the car I can see the cable leaving the sensor and I think I see it terminating in a connector on the left side of the engine. I can barely snake my arm up there and touch it, but I cannot get a good enough grip to press a release button and pull it free.
I got the rear O2 sensor changed in about 45 minutes.
My brothers 2002 F150 4.6l has a starting problem of when he shuts it off it will be hard to start sometimes. If he lets it sit for a while it will start right up. I did a search a looks like the fuel pump modules are subject in these trucks. The search also have them mounted on a cross member by the spare tire, this truck does not. My question is where is the fuel module located on the truck?

Manual says not in fuse block.
Looked behind radio, nothing, not even a space or the blue one there.
There are some on the firewall, driver side not marked. No pink wire.

View 14 RepliesI am looking for the location of the fuel pump relay for my 1999 Ford F550 V10 4WD Gas truck.
I have replaced the fuel filter and fuel pump. When the key is turned the pump gets juice and 2 seconds later is not getting juice. No lines are coming into it, so it's not getting up to pressure and shutting off.
Looking for where the fuel pump relay is 2001 f 250 SD reg cab 2 wd. Won't Start On pump gas , starting fluid yes
View 1 RepliesHow do you know if the inverter coolant pump/reservoir is bad after the recall was performed?Since it doesn't produce any codes but can reduce the electric-drive if getting too hot, how do you convince Toyota to give it a second look?
View 5 RepliesI worked with my buddy troubleshoot and remove a faulty fuel pump. He received it a week or so later and did the install himself. After this, he states that while pumping gas at the gas station the nozzle no longer cuts off automatically when full causing overflow. He says this has happened at different stations and different pumps. I told him to go double check connections and that everything was sealed. I am wondering what could be causing it..

5.4 L, Engine runs if primed at the intake. Fuel pump can be heard running but no fuel gets to the engine. Truck is mint and being sold real cheap due to this issue.
Fuel Pump? Filter? Both? I haven't seen the truck, a friend is considering buying it and rolling the dice it is a quick fix. Fuel is in the tank .....
Where is the fuel tank air filter located? If you will look in your maint. log or owners manual for the four cyl. under emmissions control you will find the fuel tank air filter to be inspected at 15000 miles and changed at 30000 miles.

View 19 RepliesWould like to change the fuel filter on my 04 F150. I have about 86K miles on it and not sure how long it has been since changed because I bought the truck with 75K on it. Is this easy job? Also where is the filter located.
View 5 RepliesAbout two weeks ago my wife's 2006 Pontiac Torrent's fuel pump went out. We had it replaced (costly repair) and two weeks later the car doesn't start again. Cranks but does not turn over/ turn on, which is exactly what it was doing before we changed the fuel pump.
View 1 RepliesStarted about a month ago, no speedometer or fuel gauge (the display up on the dash). So, somewhere I found out about unplugging the 12v battery and that worked...for a while! After a few times doing that, I read somewhere that it is a sign that the 12v battery is going. So, I took it in to the local auto parts store, they tested it and said it was good.
I bought one anyhow since it was about 3-1/2 years old. That worked for about 2 weeks, but now it's back! I've unplugged the battery and again it has ( temporarily ) fixed this issue. The other thing that happens is that it is difficult to turn off and requires you to hold the power button for an extended period of time. I guess part of my problem is I am not sure what to call that display and my searches are coming up with all sorts of things. I have about 160,000 and have had no problems.
