View 3 RepliesWhere the low side air conditioning port on a 1988 ford 460 is? I found the high side one. But not the low one in order to charge the system ..
View 5 RepliesI am working on an older couples two cars one is a 1984 Porsche that I replaced a fuel pump, fuel filter, cleaned all the fuel lines out, new spark plugs, new air filter, changed oil, changed coolant, cleaned injectors, and got the throttle cable unstuck. the other ,a 1990 Porsche, I haven't done anything too but I plan on doing everything I did to the other except the fuel pump, unless something else is messed up.
View 17 RepliesI've never even used the port yet. If it can charge cellphones it will make my upcoming trip easier.

View 1 RepliesI recently tried to recharge my 1994 Saturn SW2 air conditioning. The system took the charge fine, nice cool air again. Yea! On disconnecting the adapter, I heard the sound of escaping gas. I was able to place my thumb over the port and block the leak, tried reattaching adapter and removing several times, but the valve will not fully seal. Placing the cap back on the port with a small piece of plastic food wrap (hi tech) stopped the sound, but obviously not the leak entirely. A couple of weeks and the a/c is back to blowing hot air.
Is there any way to encourage the valve to seal? Should I try the variety of refrigerant that seals leaks? Is there a better choice for blocking the leak than food wrap? If it comes to it, replacing the low pressure line, is that something a person who knows how to use a wrench but not much more can do?
Where is it. Probably under some shroud, but before I start taking things off, where it is from the perspective of standing in front of the grill.
View 2 RepliesI guess I shouldn't be surprised that I can't find the location of the OBD port in any of the written material on my '06 Avalon.

I think I have a slow leak, so I bought a DIY and was going to recharge it and see if that fixes it. Where exactly is the low pressure port so I can charge it?
Is it complicated to do? Looking for a picture of the location?
I just learned that the charging port is in the right rear, compared to the Prototype with the port in the left front. Seems to me that about 50% of the time, the driver will get in the car and drive off with the car still plugged in because they won't see the cable when getting in. Or at best, you will get in the car, and then have to get out again to unplug it. What am I missing?
View 19 RepliesAs luck would have it I'm leaving out in the morn for 600 miles , Noticed a nail in my L/F tire yesterday went too Goodyear they pilled the tire patched it inside.. Then this morn went to fuel up my ABS light stayed on .. Did this last yr. went off after a few days but since the tire was pulled maybe its a bad connection ??? ..Jut want to be sure and scan codes
I want to scan it now to check and reset any codes But looked under the Drivers side dash can not find the OBD connection port looked on Passenger side nothing there either.. Looked under hood around fuse box did not see anything that kind of looked like a port with a cap I'd assume they cap them if under the hood .. Its a 05 S/D 6.0 locate this OBD11 port
To install my FLIR system I need a 12V power supply, ideally switched with my Gen III's ignition switch. Where in the engine compartment can I find that?
View 3 RepliesI have a 1994 Bonneville with charging problems. When started the gage on the dash might go up to 14 and stay there or not charge at all. The car at times while driving will charge then not charge and then charge again it is all over the place. I have put on a new battery, Alt. and starter still the same thing. I have had the car at Battery Specialist and they said it's in the wiring. I have put a new harness on and still the same thing.

View 4 Replies2011 Aux port only working on left side. Its not the cable. Plug port seams loose and wiggles. Use for Sat Radio hook up.
View 6 RepliesI have a ES350 and it is doing the issue of having warm air (or not cooled air) on the driver side, but has cold air on the passenger side. I looked around and saw it was a common problem. One of the solutions I read was to just refill the system with R134A. Not a problem for me, except I don't know where the low pressure port is located in my car. I was trying to find a online service repair manual on my car to locate where I need to connect to, to recharge the system.
View 12 RepliesLong story short, my truck's front turn signals and rear turn signals/tail lights won't work. I am thinking that the relay is burnt. Whenever I look in the manual I can't seem to find the location for this relay. Is is built into the flasher?
Also, I am just assuming because the rear turn signals and tail lights are the same bulb that fixing this should clear up both problems. Am I right in thinking that?
I have already checked all of the fuses. Also, the Hazards don't work either.
I have a 2006 F-250 6.0 diesel. The high side service port schrader valve is leaking. Currently there is a charge on the system but its low. I planned on evac-ing the system, replace the cores and refill until i came across this valve remove/replacement tool from MasterCool. The only problem i have is not knowing whether or not this tool fits the valve cores I have. I see already that the high side is quite a large core. I cant even find a core removal tool at local auto parts stores to fit. What size my valve cores are or if the following would fit both high and low sides?
View 3 RepliesI have been getting all sorts of weird messages and warnings for a few weeks now, and have previously posted about them. I have a service appointment next Monday.
Today I decided to check my driver's side battery and found only 11.6 volts. I am charging it as we speak. It will be interesting to see if it holds a charge. If not, then the battery is definitely bad.
The question becomes whether the bad battery is the only bad item, or whether it is the power management controller also.
While driving on the highway, I got a whole bunch of warning lights. Mechanic replaced alternator, but while returning from the shop, I again got flash of several warning lights, though they went out in a second (seemed to happen especially in a hard right turn). This continued intermittently for several months, though it hasn't happened recently. Now, however, each time I start the engine, the SRS warning light comes on and stays on for about 90 seconds. It then goes out and is fine until next start. Additionally, on two recent occasions, when I started, the gauges were all dead. They started to work after about 15 seconds, then the SRS light came on as before. Battery is about 3 years old. Checked voltage before start (11.8v) and after engine running (13.6v).
View 3 RepliesMy car sometimes runs like a dream and then abruptly will lose power, act like it's not getting fuel, not respond to the accelerator and sputter and buck. My mechanic has rebuilt the fuel pump, cleaned fuel filter, cleaned out tank, replaced hoses. He's familiar with Porsche engines and I know he's not blowing smoke up my nose, so to speak. He's tried everything he can think of. I never know when it's going to act up. It will run smoothly, I will drive it hard, drive it slow and easy, corner hard, not hard, and it sometimes stays happy, sometimes decides it doesn't want to run. It improves when clutch is pushed in, acts like it wants to respond, then after I let the clutch out and apply gas, it starts to buck and there's no power. Haven't been able to get it out of first when it does that.
