How to replace the windshield washer nozzle? If it makes a difference it's the driver side one. It's clogged and I'd like to try and soak it in some stuff to dissolve the clog and/or replace it myself. The dealer was going to charge me ~$150 to do this and trying to see if I can do it myself.
View 5 RepliesI have an 09 Camry SE. My right windshield spray nozzle is not spraying, it's just flowing out. I ran a small wire down it and nothing changed. I called 2 dealers and looked up the part and there are 5 different angles listed the dealers said I had to remove it so they could match the angle for the pitch of the windshield. Seems ridiculous that they would not know,but the parts breakdown lists all 5.
View 4 RepliesThe windshield washers of 2014 Prius v (lowercase v for the Prius v) didn't work all winter if the temp was +20F or less. I'm using -30F or -40F washer fluid. I use the same fluid in my 1995 Previa, and its washers worked all winter. A friend has a 2014 Prius, which didn't have any washer problems.
I tried pouring warm water over the nozzles, but they're location makes it difficult to reach them. Is it the nozzles or is it the rubber hose that feeds them from the reservoir?
2012 Elantra GLS ... The windshield washer spray pattern is too low. The nozzles on the Elantra appear to be entirely plastic unlike the conventional ball which I can poke a needle in to adjust it. I ran the hand under the cowl cover and could not feel any kind of adjustment mechanism. How to adjust the nozzles to aim higher.

Any DIY on replacing it? It seems like i need to take off the bumper cover and then it should be straight forward... How to remove the cover/sound dampener under the hood of my car to get at the splitter valve.
I know one side of it is plugged up. My left sprayer works fine but the right one doesn't work at all. I pulled the hose off the right sprayer and tried using the sprayers and hardly any fluid came out of the right side hose so I know the problem is in the splitter valve. The darn thing only costs about $3.50 and I don't want to go to the dealership and pay $200 to replace it.
My problem is, I can't figure out how to detach/remove the plastic discs that are holding the cover in place under the hood. I've tried using a pair of screwdrivers, slipjaw pliers and just my plain old fingers, but they don't screw out and they don't seem to want to pop out either and I sure don't want to break any of them.
How to get the cover off, do I need to get a different tool to pop the discs loose?
I have a 1995 945SET the rear washer pump works but no water comes out of the nozzle, where do I find the rear washer nose and how do I get into it to repair or replace it?
View 2 RepliesWindow washer nozzle break? My passenger side broke last Friday and then today when inspecting the driver's side it broke in the exact same place. They broke near where the nozzle that is inserted into the hose takes a 90 degree turn up through the hood leaving parts of the nozzle in the hose. I was able to squeeze the rubber hose with pliers to break up the plastic nozzle so that it would fall out. Attempts to grab broken nozzle piece with needle nose pliers were unsuccessful. Of course they waited too break until 8 months after my warranty expired but not a big deal. 10 minute install. I got the last two that the dealer had in stock.

View 7 RepliesMy trip to Gillette WY was OK but the windshield washer froze up and did not work the entire trip. So much for a snow car, but now, in warmer climate, only the drivers side will spray...nothing at all out of the passenger side. I looked up the system on Ebahn 92-32 but it just shows how to remove the tip. How to replace or check the hose? Or, even better, how to direct heat to the washer system to keep it from freezing up?

Every time I refill the bottle, the next morning I always find the fluid under driver's side bumper on my driveway.
I just bought a 1995 S10 4x4 for my son and the windshield washer pump is not working. It doesn't make a sound and I have measured that no voltage is going to the hot side of the harness going to the pump. The ground tested fine. It was also having wipers issues where they stopped at random places when turned off and the timing was screwy. I removed and resoldered the wiper pulse board and cleaned up the contacts. Wipers are good, but still no squirter.
