We just used the car last night. Hard to believe the battery is the issue. The key won't go in the trunk either. All the locks will not work with they key.
Remote wont open doors (it flashes green so battery is fine) and key only goes half way in. Locked out!
My Phaeton has been parked in my garage locked for about 10 days and the remote will not open the doors. Additionally the key will not go in the key slot in the door. Not sure why that would be an issue. I can open the trunk but the Alarm goes off when I do that!
What can I do to get in the car. The remote shows a green light so I know that battery is good but and the flashing door lights flash.
Today I replaced my stock 95 Civic headlights with brighter (more white) halogen bulbs. The installation was fast and easy, however, I've noticed one problem after the installation; the remote power locks are no longer working. The car remote still flashes green when I press the button but I get no response from the power locks.
Because of this the alarm no longer activates when I lock my car from the remote. What could be causing the issue? Are the lights taking up too much power? Do I need a better battery? The lights are a big improvement from the stock lights however its very important for my car to be secure. It's been broken into twice, thieves love to target old Hondas...
My key fob remote wouldn't open the doors, so I used the key. Then when I went to start the car it said key not detected. Called Lexus and they said to hold the remote in front of the start button for 30 seconds, but that didn't work.
I realize the battery might be dead, but the funny thing is both of my fobs don't work. Also, last night I noticed the light inside my car didn't turn on as usual when I exited. What might be going on?
I tried the manual and search here but did not find how to switch this feature on and off. When I bought the car, I could use the remote to lock the doors while a door is open, such as when I am stepping out of the car. Then when the door shuts, it beeps to confirm a lock. This feature went away, and now it won't do anything while a door is open; presumably to keep me from locking my keys in the car. I can't stand this feature, it's like a damn Honda, protecting me from myself! How to switch this back?

I checked batteries,, 3 volts each... Did I short out the unit?? View 14 RepliesMy Pris 2010 would not start this morning. My wife tried to start the car this morning and it would not start. All the symbols on the display light up and would not go. She then tries to turn off the car, but the Triangle symbol with the exclamation mark within it lights up. The Start button light is red and the Park button flashes green. Added to that is the constant beep that you hear when you try to close the door with the keys in the car. I cannot even turn the steering wheel. I had to get it towed to the Toyota dealer and am was told that i would hear back tomorrow.

Dash flashes and threw up half a dozen error messages from ESP to ABS to AFS/headlight. Battery seems fine. I, unfortunately, do not have a windows laptop handy currently so cannot hook up vag-com. Does this sound like a starter? ECU? I do have APR stage I and I was NOT able to access via the cruise control set function which has me worried that somehow it has engaged lock out mode? At this point, I appear to be headed for flatbed, dealer and major wallet damage.

When I "set" the cruise so it actually holds my speed; no additional lights come on to indicate the cruise is set. I was wondering if this is normal or should there be one light to indicate the cruise system is on and another when the cruise is set. My Phaeton has the standard cruise and does not adjust for distance.
View 1 RepliesDriving home tonight I noticed a green smiley face with three curvy lines (kind of like heat rising) in the top left corner of the instrument panel display (where you can display the mileage stats, radio station, etc).
I have gone through the manuals a couple of times and the FAQs here and have not been able to determine what it means.
I assume since it is green it is not a critical warning, but I would like to know what it means. Have had my Phaeton for three months and have not seen it before. Leaving Tuesday morning for a 1,000 mile week long trip.
My wife was driving down our street today, a two way street, narrow at best of times. On one side a monster snow pile ( 6-7ft high), the other side a very big truck coming at her, minimal passing room, like almost touching her mirrors.
The warning lights on both sides went from green to yellow and red ...beeping all the time. The Phaeton stalled. Not once or twice, but four times !!
Question : did the engine stall because of the red beeping lights on both sides sensed imminent danger ? ...... and she kept on going. She thinks so.
3 weeks ago, I purchased a 2014 Prius model 4 and had a remote starter installed at the dealer. So far, the car has been at the dealer 3 times and they cannot figure out why the remote start will not work. When you press the lock button twice then the 3rd time for 3 seconds, the lights flash and you can watch as the dash lights begin to come on, then everything shuts down. The dealer contacted Toyota because this is all a warranty issue and was instructed to reprogram the computer which they did. After doing so they received an error code that a door, hood or trunk was open, but none were. They checked all the door, hood and trunk latch electronics and all were fine. Personally, I feel I must have received a faulty remote starter, but Toyota so far seems unwilling to replace it.
View 14 RepliesMy remote start just decided to stop working. I did notice 3 days ago the horn beeped a few times when I started it with the key. Since then if I try to start it I get 6 beeps when it should have started. and the red light flashes twice continuously.
View 5 RepliesQuick question, my wife wasn't able to open our '04 Prius with the FOB. I replaced the battery, and the FOB started flashing, which I'm assuming means that the new battery is working properly. However, after I put the FOB back together, the lock/unlock buttons still don't work. I can still manually open the car with the attached key and start the car with the FOB, but I was wondering if there's still a problem.
