Phaeton :: Navigation System Sometimes Losses GPS Signal

I have had a problematic navigation system that loses it way some times (loss of GPS signal). However it worked for sometime without problems till I dent my rear left side and had to be in the shop. I guess they disconnected the batteries and now the unit has stopped working. This is the relevant VCDS output. Most importantly I checked the adv measure feature to find the following statuses
CD ROM OK
GPS Antennae OK
Available Satellites 8
Satellites in view 0
GPS Status None
This was a clear day and so the unit is not picking up the satellites. However VCDS output shows no faults or anything.

I have a 2004 VW Phaeton.
Today, the sound system failed, then shortly after, the navigation system failed.
On the console, if I press any map/navigation buttons, the error message "Navigation System Unavailable" is displayed.
If I press an audio related button, the error message "DSP system is unavailable". I took it to a private vw repair shop and a vw dealer. What was causing the issue.
I am now headed to a vw dealer with certified phaeton tech. I looked towards fuse issue, but they appear to be ok..

I bought a 2003 GX470 a couple of months ago and love it. It was a good upgrade from the 98 Land Cruiser I had a couple of years back and much better than my recent X5. Even though it runs great right now, I have one issue bugging me.
The Navigation unit hasn't ever really worked. Actually, it works, but since I bought it has used the secondary system which calculates location based off direction and speed which is only accurate if driving 50 yards or less - even after calibration
I found out how to get into the secret menu and looked through the settings. When I go to the screen which shows connected satellites, it says "Ensure nothing is blocking gps reception." I've tried a couple of resets, but nothing seems to work. I looked up where the antenna is to see if the connections is loose, but the only reference I found said it was on the rear glass. Unless integrated into something, I don't think it is, though.
The system still runs a factory 2003 disc for maps which is Gen 3. I tried a used 2007 map disc which upgraded the system, but didn't work. It gave disc errors so had to go back to the 2003 one. I haven't had a GPS signal since the day I bought it.

The "car" symbol on the nav screen seems to lag the actual position by up to 1/2 block.... when I make turns onto another street, for example, the map will sometimes indicate that I am turning into the block itself (instead of the street that I am on), and about 1/4 mile later, it will mysteriously "shift" the car location back onto the correct street.

I bought a new Navigation DVD for my 2004 Pheaton because it didn't have one when I bought the car. I bought the Navigation DVD SOUTH CENTRAL Version 2s. Why can't I get it to work? I insert it into the navigation system, the DVD goes in and then ejects itself a few seconds later. What am I doing wrong?

I have 2005 4.2, and the choices for navigation language are English and French. I'm learning German and I think it would be great if the car could give directions in German.
How to change the language on the Phaeton? Is its speech inextricably linked with the navigation discs [in which case I imagine it would be hard to get Southern California in German] or is the language a separate module?

As I was driving to work this morning, I noted that the map does not display on my center unit... no error messages, just a gray screen. Interestingly, the navigation functions seem to work just fine, just no map display.
I just had the KESSY unit replaced in my car last week. I don't know if that is related to my new problem, but thought I would mention it on the chance that it is relevant. Notably, however, it seemed to work fine when I got it back form the dealer. What the problem may be?

My sister says that her navigation has been going out. She brought the car to the dealership and they said her entire nav system needs to be replaced. They can give her a refurbished unit for $800 + labor. The symptoms are as follows:
The screen will turn black but she can still hear the voices. The screen will come back on its own. She also gets an error message "external system not connected". She says that this could happen at any time, not just when the navigation system is being used. Also when this does happen it is as if the whole system crashes because she cannot control the AC heat and the radio goes out.
In my research i would say this was a nav ECU problem but I want to double check and so I am posting. I would like to know if the ECU from other model years can be used (assuming you carry over the same DVD version).

I have had my 2013 Santa Fe Sport exactly one month. Before I drove it off the dealer's lot the Navigation system was dead and would not turn on. The salesman could not get it turned on either. So he drove the car into the service bay, shut off the engine, opened the door and had a service writer come to the car. They got in the car and the unit worked. The same thing happened again 30 days later. I pulled off the road, turned off the engine. Waited a few moments and restarted the engine. Still dead. I turned off the engine again, opened the door and waited 30 seconds. Got back in and started the car and it worked fine. I talked to the dealer about this and they have no knowledge of the issue.

I've got a 99 Nissan Avinir that runs good (until) you try an rev past 2500 revs, the car losses power until it revs again under 2500, its like its automated to do this or is having intake problems, it was running good before stored it, I put in a new petrol pump, it had been siting for a while. It runs fine under 2500 rpm no problems but wont go over 2500 rpm.

I'm finding the nav. system on my o7 limited tribeca hard to use. First of all, I can't figure out how to turn it off. It seems to always require a destination, and the only thing I can do to avoid it binging and trying to redirect me is to turn the sound off. Any way to tell the computer "I don't need direction to this trip"? Also the only time I've tried to use it, thr route it took me on used only surface streets, even though the freeway and a tollroad were nearby and I had entered "allow tollroads".

I have recently decided to not renew any XM services on my 13 GS. One unintended consequence of that decision seems to be a surprise. My slow start of the navigation system is gone. The system starts up instantly every time. I have observed it for 4 days now, and not a single slow start. Not sure if the problem is in the XM receiver, or the way the navigation tries to consume the XM data services, but it's definitely related to XM.

My 2012 PIP has the GPS nav system and if I want to shut it off before my destination I can't find out how to do it! I can't find anything on it in my Owners Manual either. I do not see a "Del. Destination" to press and I do not have a "Stop Guidance" to press either.

I have a 2010 prius with the navigation package in the last month the compass goes berserk and the the navigation gets completely lost. I have done the recalibration and it may work for an hour or a day then just start wondering.
The xm radio works fine and when I get into the system check page by pressing info while turning the light switch from off to side lights four times all the systems say they are OK and the gyro voltage and direction looks good. This problem is with the original map cd and the versionb11.1 cd.

I've got a 2006 Honda Civic Hybrid with Navigation. This morning, the navigation system did not turn on, and the screen- which is also the screen for the radio- does not work. I can still listen to the radio, but I have to use the steering wheel controls to operate, and I have to use the voice command to turn the radio on and off... the navigation screen is completely inoperable. To be honest, the only idea I have is that the fuse needs replacing?
