Phaeton :: Key Fob Buttons No Longer Click

One of my unlock buttons was very touchy and no longer had the click detent so I sourced exact replacements. I bought 3 but only need 1 so have two to spare. Since these are not the typical VW remote switches they were harder to find and I ordered them from Germany. Replacing them isn't too hard but they are surface mount so a little trickier than normal PC card work. Still, any electronic repair shop can handle it for you if you don't feel comfortable with a soldering iron.

Recently,my 2003 Saturn Ion's electronic trunk opening buttons have stopped working ! A couple of times,I have found wiring casings underneath where we usually park the car at night and I even found what appeared to be a chewed up wire within the same spot. I've kind of checked for bad fuses. But, there is no listing for a fuse for the electronic trunk switches. Neither the button on the remote works nor the button inside the vehicle.

Got a bit of an issue with the cabin lights in the rear. I am able to manually turn on the lights by pushing the individual light buttons, however if I push either the 'door open' or 'rear light' buttons there is no response.

I have a 2005 W12 with keyless entry etc. ..etc. I cannot lock /unlock the doors or open the trunk by pressing the regular buttons. I have replaced the battery in my key some months ago. The key that my wife has the same problem...

it used to be that whenever I cut my car off the headlights would come on and as I exit the car would remain on for 30secs per. The setting for departure/arrival lighting.
Last night I they suddenly stopped doing that. When approaching the car and unlocking with key fob the lights come on. But no longer do they stay on when exiting the vehicle which was a nice feature at night. I have confirmed my settings are in tact so maybe I bumped something I don't know. I spent a lot of time In my phay last nite waiting for people and parked and moved several times.

I took apart my key fob to replace the plastic pad. With the new pad in place all the functions light up the little green led but it won't lock, unlock the car or open the trunk. The door lock cylinder was seized when I bought the car. So now I have a locked Phaeton in my driveway that I can't get into. I don't have a scan tool (I would need to be in the car to use it anyway) and the nearest dealer is 260 miles away .

Today I tried to open the trunk from the Remote and the Door switch, and it will not pop up, after pressing the button (remote or door) you will hear the click from the switch in the trunk itself, but nothing else, before (when the trunk was working) after the click it will pop up 5 mm that way I can slide my fingers under and lift it.
Dealer said the latch is not pushing the trunk up and they are going to replace it ? After checking the parts manual I can see there are two types of latch, with Hydraulic with Closing assist (P/N: 3D5 827 302 J) and No Closing Assist, that means that's the part they are going to change, the one with Closing Assist ?

My W12 Steering wheel seems to no longer adjust in the up/down range when I use the button on the side of the steering column. It does move in/out. Is there a way to reinitialize or calibrate the steering wheel.

I went out last night (fire training) and when I returned to my car, I unlocked it with the fob button, got in and put the key in the ignition and no click.... the key will not turn. This is the same key I drove out with. I thought if my kessey is bad, both of my keys are "locked out" My wife came out with my second key fob and the car started with no issues. My main key still won't turn in the ignition. So how do I get my car to like my main key again?

With my Phaeton has the power convenient closing was working on all four doors (the feature that automatically closes the door if you close it almost all the way.) Now it is working only 3. The driver's door no longer has power convenient closing. What the possible cause or remedy is?

When I start to take the car out of Drive, as soon as I push the chrome button on the gear selector, I get a loud click from the left side of the trunk. Is this a relay that is going bad or could it have something to do with the transmission? I get the sound before the car even goes into Reverse.

02 Ranger 2.3 4cyl 5 spd 115K.... My A/C seems to take longer and longer to start cooling/ When it does start cooling it seems that is is actually colder than it has ever been (original owner) and the control is more sensitive to the touch when moved. Being a 4 cyl it's easy to detect when the compressor kicks in and it seems each time it is taking longer to do so. If I stop the motor, it goes thru the same cycle of time or longer before cooling (compressor kicking in) again. No codes, No unusual noises.

Open up the radio and put black touch up paint on 3/4 of the surface area of each LED along the side, there are 4 each side. This is a pic with 1/2 done and it was still a bit bright. so I opened it up again, it takes time, and lots of patience. Worth it though , maybe. If you are smarter than me, you can find the illumination wire back there (green/silver) harness/connector closest to driver, wire closest to driver again....up top (above blue/yellow wire) and stick a pot or resistor or whatever the heck....As for a/c lights, dont bother, it is almost impossible.

In my 07 Camry I only have the volume, next and previous, and mode buttons. I'm wondering if I can add more like the phone buttons. I bought a aftermarket in dash headunit so I wanna use it to it's full capability.

Me and the wife are on the hunt for a RX350. (2010-2012) I'm trying to figure out what buttons should be in the blanks on the dash to the left and right of the steering wheel. I know to the left are headlight washers, tailgate, and fuel door. To the right in the biggest blank is where HUD should be. But what is all the other ones for? I have yet to find one that has all of them filled.

I have a 2006 Camry SE and the key fob isn't working when I press the buttons. I have to press it a couple times to get the doors to lock or unlock (trying to open the trunk is ). Before it took only one little press to work properly. Thought it was the battery in the fob going, so I replaced it. No luck. Is there something in the car itself that picks up the button press from the fob that could be going bad?

All buttons on my key fob now cause the alarm to go off, and it won't deactivate. Even when the car starts up it still goes. Changed battery in my key- nothing. Reset battery- nothing. So what is the cause Battery? Key fob? Fuse? What is going on?
