I was searching for instruction how to replace the chrome trim that appears to be a seperate piece of trim on the rear of the Phaeton. Mine has some issues on the passenger side and would like to remove it to have it either repaired or replaced.

View 6 RepliesSo I'm trying to remove the rear bumper cover on a '15, but it has been a royal pain. I went in thinking that the procedure would be similar to what it is on the '14, but it is way more involved. The biggest issue I'm having is removing the large plastic triangular side bracket. It has these weird T-nuts fastened to the body, which you cant remove, and the whole thing looks like it would need to slide upwards to get it off, but you wouldn't have enough room because the shape of the body just gets in the way.
View 1 Replies2013 Prius IV.... I just noticed that my right side rear bumper cover has a 1/4 inch gap between the bumper and the quarter panel. I think it's from me sitting on the bumper while tying up my shoes or something. When I apply downward pressure on the rear bumper, the gap widens. The left side is tighter, but does gap out when downward pressure is applied. In any case, the gap is annoying.
View 19 RepliesI was recently in a fender bender where I was rear ended. My rear bumper cover became detached on the left side and the spoiler underneath it (left side and center parts) became detached. I lost several pieces of hardware in the crash. I was able to clip the bumper cover back in on the left side, and aside from that, I don't believe any bolts, screws, etc. are missing for the bumper cover. However, the spoiler seems to be missing about half of its hardware.

View 2 RepliesThe trim that goes around the windows, etc. I looked at the topics on detailing in the FAQ and didn't see this mentioned in them. My trim has water marks on it from water drying on it after the detailers at the lot cleaned the car before I picked it up Friday. I am hoping to get the car all cleaned up and a good sealant and wax put on it before I start heading to Colorado for skiing in about a month.
Anyways, that trim is driving me nuts because every kind of metal polisher, cleaner, etc. I find on the detailing sites says to keep it off painted surfaces which I think would be about impossible since that strip is about 1cm wide and runs right along painted body panels.
My wife backed the truck into a pole and bent the driver's side bumper and one of the ears on the trailer hitch (the part that bolts to the frame). I bought all the parts that need to be replaced (the left bumper end, the hitch itself, and the plastic bumper cover), gut am hesitant to try to change it all myself. How hard is it to change out all these parts? Is there a write-up any where out there for this?

Is it common to just put the clip ins and leave the chrome or do what i have been reading which is to black out your chrome? If i put the 3m typed style visors do i go right on top of the chrome or not and if not how do i go about blacking that out? Which brand 3m stick on visors recommended for the darkest color and slickest look?

View 6 RepliesTrying to find a local shop here that will wrap my chrome trim around my grill. I had one shop tell me that they would have to section the grill near the top and that it couldn't be wrapped in one piece. I was shown an example and it was terrible, the overlay line was way too visible. I went to another shop today that said they could wrap it in one piece but I would need to take the trim piece off and bring it to them first. Any close pics of grill trim I could use as a reference.
