After the recirculation motor being replaced on the air con either coincidence or not the hazards are not working, had read somewhere can be a pinched wire behind the infotainment. I have found the main fuses in the cabin but no detail card.
View 5 Replies So after driving my new phaeton for 3 months i realized that my AC recirculation does not work. When i press the re-circle button , it shows up in the screen. but i don't hear the sounds of the fan any different from de-activating the re-circle. I can smell the bad air from outside even though re-circle is activated.
I believe that the re-circle should function like in other cars. more strong air flow and more colder. Just wondering if it's just the switch that needs to be changed or if there is a valve/door under the dash that I need to look into.
I have a 2003 santa fe and the blinkers are not functioning but the hazard lights are working fine. I checked the fuse and that is fine. Is there someway I can take apart the handle assembly where the switch for the blinkers are? Also, sometimes they would work and other times they wouldn't so that seems like a loose connection somewhere. The indicators for the blinkers on the dash do not work either so there has to be a problem giving power to the switch.

View 4 RepliesI have a 2011 sonata gls. Today I noticed when locking the car with the remote keyless entry, the hazard lights don't blink, and also no horn feedback when the remote is pressed twice within 4 seconds. I checked all settings in the display and horn feedback is set to "on". The unlock on the fob works fine, the hazard lights do blink for that. I know this is not a serious issue, just used to hearing and seeing the doors lock. What to look for to fix this?
View 1 RepliesI have checked the fuses for the Hazard and the Turn Signals. Both look fine. I tried replacing the turn signal flasher (which was a task in itself). After all of this it is still not working. What else could it be? Simple short?
View 2 RepliesThe right turn signal on my 1998 Ford Explorer recently stopped working. The flasher was making a horrible buzzing sound when I tried to signal right, but worked fine signaling left.
I just replaced the flasher, which has cleared up the buzzing noise when trying to signal right. The flasher clicks like it's supposed to, but the lights still do not flash.
Here's a summary of the current symptoms:
-Hazard lights work fineFlasher clicks; interior indicators flash; exterior lights flash
-Left right signal indicator works fineFlasher clicks; interior indicators flash; exterior lights flash

A few weeks ago my battery died and I had to jump start my car. After the jump start, my heat wasn't working - no air will blow out on heat or A/C. I checked the fuses - all good.
I pulled the blower motor out and tested it and it worked hooked up to a battery. At one point when the blower motor was still in the car I banged it with a hammer and it turned on momentarily then shut off again.
Since the blower motor seemed to work outside of the car, I assumed it was the resistor that was bad. Replaced , and still no heat.
Could the blower motor be bad and just have worked hooked to a battery intermittently?
What else could it be?
My 2007 F150's turn signals and hazard lights quit working. I checked the fuse and it was blown. Once I pulled the old fuse out the truck wouldn't start at all. What happened?

View 2 RepliesMy passenger side front signal light works properly, but when I turn my hazard lights on it will not blink normally (the other 3 blink). Inside my truck when looking at my dash I see the small green blinking arrow for the left signal, but not for the right when the hazards are on. When using the signal normally, I see the small blinking green arrow for the right signal though.

I've got a 2001 f150 supercrew 4x4 with the 4.6. I plugged in trailer lights and now I have no brake, turn signal, or hazard lights. I've checked fuses and none are blown.
View 8 RepliesI have a 1997 ford f-150 flareside 4x4 and the interior lights have not worked since I purchased the truck.I checked the bulb and it was burnt out so I replaced it and still does not work.
The truck was hit on the 3rd door on the passenger side before I bought it and I think they may have done something to keep the interior light from coming on by accident when not shutting the door all the way.
I checked the number 14 fuse which is where I think the interior fuse it on this truck, what I could check to be my problem?
I have owned a Phaeton W12 for around a year and have got to know my local VW dealer extremely well. My latest woe is the hazard warning lights which refuse to operate. The dealer advises it is a fault with the J523 (?) unit.
View 4 RepliesI have a 2013 6.7l super duty Lariat. I want to install flashing LED lights to work in conjunction with the hazard lights. The leds have their own controller and will be separate from any other lights/wiring. What I need is some way to trigger a relay to turn on the led's. Was hoping to tap into the hot lead off the hazard switch itself but that's not an option!
View 2 RepliesMy reverse lights aren't working. I assume the trunk cable assembly is fine, as all my trunk opening and latching works and there is no viable damage to the cable. I figured the bulbs were burned out but I pulled the trunk liner today and at least one of the bulbs looks intact. I don't see any fuse listed for reverse lights.
View 2 RepliesTook my phaeton in for routine health check. Came out with reversing lights not working. Next thing boot stops half way when opening and then stops working all together and wont register as closed on the warning system. Taken it to 2 vw dealers for investigation and so far still dont know whats wrong! They now want it for several days at great expense to investigate further. Have been in touch with vw uk who are monitoring the situation. Seems the less competent the technicians are the more it is going to cost to sort it out. Its not as simple as fuses and bulbs. Is there anywhere I could take it to like an auto electrical specialist or is there a phaeton technician out there who recognises the problem.
View 1 RepliesTwice this week, when I went out to start my car after dark, the lights did not come on automatically, even though the switch was set to auto. The headlights were on, as in DRL, but none of the dash or interior lights came on. I could turn them on by turning the switch to the on position, but then they would go back out when switched back to auto. If you shut the car off and restart it appears to correct itself. This is not a big deal by any means, but it never happened before and now it has occurred twice in a matter of a couple days. I tried to search the forum before posting, but it appears the search function is not working.
View 3 RepliesTwice today I have gotten a message to the effect that I should check my lights. I have forgotten the exact words. I checked the lights and they all seem to be working properly. Is this what people mean when they write that their lights are flickering?
