Phaeton :: GPS Not Locking On At All

So driving the Phaeton on a road trip today. I believe it did not lock on to any satellites and then the compass pointed the wrong direction for a while, leaving me in the middle of the ocean (I was on the coast of California).
My problem now is that after restarting the car multiple times I am still way out in the middle of the ocean. Is there any way to clear the cached GPS location data, or otherwise reset the navigation system? The reset function did nothing.
Edit: This actually happens rather often however typically fixes itself pretty quickly. Unfortunately I don't think it will recover this time in the same fashion, as recovery is typically very gradual and I am apparently about 150 miles out to sea at the moment.

My Phaeton has been worry-free for about a year, but recently the door locks have begun locking on their own. The red alarm light even comes on.

I noticed a couple of days ago that when I lock my Phaeton the flashing red light on the inside of the door turns solid red for a few seconds. The usual pattern is that it flashes a few times (a couple of seconds worth) when you press the lock button on the remote and then turns solid red for twenty or thirty seconds before going on to it's usual flashing to indicate that the doors are locked/alarm is set.
Is this normal or does it indicate a fault with the alarm or immobilizer? I can't recall it doing this until Friday (two days ago) but perhaps I've just missed it.

Yesterday I found that I could't lock the Phaeton by pressing the button on the outside door handles .
I could only lock/unlock from the key fob . Is there something I can do to resolve this short of going to a service dept ??

I have a 2004 with 210,000 miles. I have noticed recently that my fob is not locking / unlocking my car unless I'm almost right on top of it, even with a clear sight of the car. Didn't use to be that way. I changed the battery and not much improvement.

This has happened to me before and usually when someone else is with me and they close the passenger door funny then i go to lock it and no beep. So i make sure to close all the doors again including the hatch then i lock it and i get the beep from the horn. But recently no matter what, the horn is no longer beeping when i arm the car. Car is still armed. Alarm goes off if i open the door when locked, but just wondering why the horn beep is gone upon arming.

Is there any way to lock the doors without using the key fob when getting out? How to set the radio (base/premium? non-Dynaudio) to return to the same volume as when it turned off when turned on?

I took my tiguan to get the tires changed for winter and the place stripped out one of the locking lugs, how to get it off. They said take it and get it taken off and replaced and they will reimburse me but right now there is no one open to do it, how to get it off?

Every VW I've owned has incorporated a central locking feature (i.e. - You hold the key in the off position, and it closes the windows and sunroof). Does our car not have that option? I though I heard somewhere that if you hold the alarm set button in the key fob that it'll close everytihgn, but that doesn't work.

My FOB is only unlocking my door. It's not locking doors. Thought it might be the FOB battery. I changed it and still no locking, just unlocking.

Issue is nation-wide and is affecting vehicles equipped with nav and lexus enform.
Manual reset by disconnecting battery for 10 minutes will bring systems back online.

I'm in need of what's going on with my 2005 Toyota Camry 2.4L (American Build), Non-skid, on the front brakes.
About 2 months ago my L/F brakes just locked up. So, I towed it to the dealership to have the brakes looked at and worked on. They said my Camry was locking up because the L/F caliper is freezing up. So, what the dealership did is replace the 2 front rotors, new brake pads, and new calipers. Got the brake fluid flushed out, also. Now, after about a thousand miles later and about 2 months, the same thing is happening. The L/F caliper are locking up.
I brought it back to the dealership and they said NOW, that it's the "ABS Actuator Pump Assembly" and the parts/labor would cost roughly $ 1300 dollars.. Now, when they replaced that part. The same problem is still happening. The L/F caliper is locking up. Luckily, when it was locking up I didn't drive the vehicle to far to damage the brand new brakes that was put in the first place.

Couldn't find anything in the manual about changing the settings to avoid the doors locking automatically when I reach 10 mph. I realize I'll eventually get used to it but until then it's driving me nuts.

I have a 2013 Limited w/o nav, and 3 days ago I noticed my car won't honk after I lock it using the key fob, but it will lock it. How can I turn that feature back on? I like that reassuring honk! If I can avoid a trip to the dealership, that'd be best!

Its been cold here around 20's if not lower. I went to open the trunk, unlocked it using keyfob and then when i went to close it I noticed that it did not latch. I tried to see whats going on and its totally not locking. The issue is that the lights in the car are on because the trunk is technically unlocked. I fiddled with the lock on it andgot the lights under my dash both passanger and driver side to turn off. The actual dash displays the trunk as open and the needles are lit as blue....this is going to kill my battery. What am i supposed to do???? Is there a fuse anything? Starting a few days ago both of my key FOBs stopped locking the car. They both can still unlock the car and open the trunk, but they cannot lock the car. However the doors can still be locked from the button inside the door. From that I know the locking mechanisms aren't broken so it must be something electronic. What could be causing this?

I have set the system up in the center info display (by checking the tailgate) to unlock the tailgate (and all doors) with the key remote. Once the tailgate is unlocked and opened you can't close it without it relocking, forcing you to hit the key again or opening the drivers door and activating the remote there. I know this issue seems minor, but its kind of a hassle when you have gear, groceries and a toddler...

So my car used to 'chirp' loudly when I locked it. Didn't mess with any settings, and now it 'chirps' but its very quiet, almost unnoticeable. As far as I know there is no way to adjust this, maybe my 'chirper' is broken?
