My driver side window intermittently in express mode up bounces off the top sill then rolls back down about 3/4. Motor replaced twice, regulator once. Still no fix.

View 5 RepliesI have a 2009 Hyundai Santa Fe, and I don't really know what the exact term for it is, but the plasticy/rubbery coating on on the window sill inside the cabin is rubbing off from what I assume to be my elbow sitting on it (seems strange).
View 1 RepliesAny fix for the driver side window rolling up slower than the passenger side. Sounds like the motor is having a harder time moving it. I can hear the motor straining. Looking for info about successfully lubricate the regulator and fix this? I'd like not to have to replace the motor.

View 14 RepliesOkay, here's the situation... I have a 04 Olds Silhouette. Within the last 3 days I have noticed the following "symptoms".
1. drivers side window rolls up and down a lot slower than before.
2. The fuel gauge has been acting up, shot up way over full just yesterday and we know we had just under half a tank.
3. Speedometer is also acting up, reads at least 5 to 10 miles per hour over.
Fast forward to tonight, I was sitting in our van listening to the radio while wife was inside walmart and when I went to start it up to warm it up before she returned, it would not start, only got clicking. We did try jump starting it and all we've gotten so far is clicking. Are any of the symptoms I listed above, connected to this issue? Also, what is the issue? Battery or starter or other?
Having problem with water in the side sill of Phaeton? Recently after many problems with different electric parts of my Phaeton and replacement of different units under a guarantee, VW service has found the source of problems - water in booth side sills of my Phaeton. All foams in the side sill were wet and volume of removed water was more then 2-3 liters. Water was clean and without smell, so I was expecting leakages in the sunroof or in the different part of my car. Unfortunately service despite of showering of the car can not find the way how the water is coming into the car.Due to the fact that service can not find the leakage they are starting to suspect that car was flooded and in that way rejecting guarantee service.
View 1 RepliesWhen I exit and lock, the window sill red lights flash for a while and then stop. I seem to recall they previously flashed continuously until car was unlocked. Now, the only flashing red light that continues is the tiny pair on the nav radio.

View 11 RepliesDriving over the weekend, I randomly noticed that there was a large crack 3/4 of the way across the rear driver's side window. What caused it (there appears to be an impact mark on the outside and I guess it just spread from there). This morning, the crack was completely across the window.

View 3 RepliesIt took me a while to realize it, but my Phaeton vibrates as it rolls. My wife and friend only noticed it when I called their attention to it, but I've come to pick up on it every time I drive the car, as shortly as a few blocks away from home, from about 30 MPH and upwards.
How do I know? Well, we have two other cars, including a Touareg and a smart, and those two sure do not vibrate the way the Phaeton does! My wife and I just pick up whatever car, so I am likely to drive two or three cars on any given week. I've tried to ignore it, but to me, every time I pick up the Phaeton, it is very bothersome to me.
I've put new tires on the car, had them "force balanced", the computer scores came out great, and the alignment technician at the VW dealership said he can't feel the car vibrate while we rode together. The rims are good and straight. But it clearly does vibrate.
By the way, the front suspension shudders very un-German-like in potholes. I speculate it is related. But I am dreading taking the car to the VW dealer service technician and have him come back that the car is fine.
How to reset the window limit on a mk7 golf? I installed power folding mirrors with new modules the passenger side window goes up and down fine but the driver side will only go up half way then does back down like its hitting something.

Also when i close the driver door its saying its not closed. Is there a fuse hiding somewhere under the hood? or what should i do. Its under warranty but its Sunday and rain is coming.
View 1 RepliesI use the one touch auto-roll down and up feature on the window button all the time on the driver side because I have to access gates with key cards a lot. Rolling the window down on one touch is not a problem. It's the one-touch rolling up that is weird.
When i hit the button to auto-roll up my window, it rolls up as expected. HOWEVER, the window rolls down for a split second and just stops midway. Just like that. I have to hit the button again for it roll up.
I have noticed that this tends to happen when I accelerate from a stop and hit the window button at the same time. The window's action can best be described as this: It's moves as if the driver decided to roll the window up and then all of a sudden changed his mind and hit the window button to go down.
I've had the car for over a week and I just noticed that the sill is missing on the driver side. I'm going to call my dealer, but I know she'll be clueless, so I'd like to have the part # handy.
View 1 RepliesI purchased my first car and I am excited its a prius. I got lucky and got it below Kelly blue book. Its a 2010 IV, love the navigation and sound system. Thee car had a few minor issues when i bought it (ABS/Slip/Horn repaired). My only other issue (very minor) is the driver side door sill. The light unfortunately does not turn on when i open the door. After realizing this i took apart door foot panel, plastic door guard and the door sill itself. Immediately after removing the door sill.
I noticed that there was a significant amount of surface rust and the led circuitry had been compromised from water and appeared to be the root cause. So i thought i could fix it by removing the led light strip and replace it with some generic 12V blue led strip lighting. My thought was that i could cut the wires from the original led and tie into the existing OEM wiring. But when i plugged it in nothing happened; i tested the led lights i bought on a 9V and it works. So then i bought a multi-meter and tested the wires and i didn't get any reading. Am i doing anything wrong? Is there a particular fuse i need to check or any other lines i need to follow?
I have a 2006 Sonata LX that has a problem with the driver's side power window.
It will either lower and then not come back up, or not lower when the button is pressed.
Most of the time the button is tilted downward.
Had window on drivers side all the way down. Went to push button to raise. Window gets gets half way up and I hear a loud snap! I continue to push button and raised window all the way up. Now I hear wind and whistle sound. Does not seem to be as tight? Afraid to lower window as it may not raise again... Does this sound like the typical window regulator failure? My warranty coverage "excludes " window regulators, go figure. Their brochure says window motors and regulators covered. The actual signed contract excludes regulators? 2004 V8......
View 6 RepliesCracked rear window from bottom center (on the driver's side just past the Dole light). Dealer says that they would have to sub out the install. That worries me a little, given antennae & other items hooked up on/near rear window.
