I have the 18-way adjustable drivers seat and it moves just about 2 inches. The height does not work. This happened a few months ago.
Now the passenger seat does the same. I do not see anything jamming the seats or something that is lodged in the tracks.
My RX350 is over 4yrs old with 105k km on it. I notice lately when I drive off the seat moves back a bit and when braking hard it moves forwards. It is about quarter of an inch movement but it is noticeable. I guess it is not under warranty now. I looked under the seat but can not find where this is coming from, I am assuming it must be a loose bolt that needs to be tightened.

View 8 RepliesMy drivers seat feels like it moves slightly after applying the brakes and then back on the gas like when you almost come to a full stop. The car is CPO with 22k and new to me so I can't say how long it's been happening. I feel like I remember a similar problem and TSB with the 2 gen IS but I'm not sure. I'm just trying to get some info before taking it to the dealer.
View 14 RepliesWhen you have the key in the ignition and have it so the steering wheels moves up and outta the way too? My seats sounds like 3-5 seconds of some serious farting action. Not good when on the phone and someone asks, "whats was that?" I am sure its the leather rubbing on the side of the console, but god damn will it ever stop!? Only 5K on the touareg, so maybe it will go away sooner or later...

View 1 RepliesI own a 2010 Toyota Corolla LE. I've noticed recently that the driver's seat moves either forwards or backwards when coming to a stop. The movement is not dramatic, but sure is noticeable and annoying. I took the car into the dealership, and they told me if this problem was not caused by the car itself and was occurring because of me, they will charge me around 125 dollars for a diagnosis charge. I took the car right out. Is it just normal wear? My solution was to remove the whole seat and see if there are any loose nuts. By the way, the seats are manual.
View 7 RepliesMy problem is my seat will recline but will not go back up. Basically every time I hit the recline switch my seat is stuck a little further reclined. I am not sure if the problem is the switch, motor, control box ect. When I move the recline switch I hear the relay in the control box close. Nothing happens when I press forward. Very difficult seat to work on. I can't even sort out where the recline motor is. It seems to be in the seat back though and not under the seat but I am not sure and diagrams are unclear to me.

View 2 RepliesIt seems that the seat bottom does not elevate to the full extent. I like to have the front of the cushion a little higher than the rear, but the front doesn't seem to elevate as much as the passenger seat does. I've noticed a couple of threads about the fore and aft resetting, but nothing about height or angle adjustment. I've driven several other Phaetons and this one definitely has an issue with the bottom cushion elevation.

I happened to look behind the passenger side seat and there was 3in. of water on the floor so i looked up at the sunroof and there wasn't any stains or anything from water as well as the doors windows everything... View 4 RepliesIn my 7, if I hit the roof console center light button, it would illuminate both the front of the cabin, and my accent lights in the rear cabin, allowing me to see the kids in the back at night or ensure they have light if they can't find something.
On the Phaeton, I have not yet been able to figure out how the driver can turn on the rear cabin lights. I have the lights set on to come on when the door opens, but obviously that isn't an option underway. Is there a way for the driver to illuminate the whole cabin from the drivers seat?
I'm having trouble with the seat adjustment (12-way) on the drivers seat of my 2005 V6. Basically the front vertical adjustment of the drivers seat doesn't move upwards - maybe a cm at most. The back of the seat moves up and down fully, but the front doesn't, so it feels like the seat is tipped forward... When I try to adjust the front upwards I get loads of whirring and clicking, but no movement.

The motor hums when every button is pushed but when I push back the motor just clicks once and then nothing. Nothing is in the tracks or otherwise impeding the seat from moving backwards.
View 6 RepliesJust came back from breaking in new brake pads. Instructions called for five moderate to aggressive stops from 45 to 10mph, then five moderate stops from 35 to 5mph, then cool down and drive as normal. Drivers side door opened fine when I got in to do the test. It's been opening and closing OK since I bought the truck a few months ago. Got back from my break-in procedure, and the drivers side door wouldn't open more than about 8". Had to crawl over and exit from the passenger side. Found that the drivers side door is binding against the front fender about midway down.
View 1 RepliesI noticed a slight rumble in my 05 Prius (120,000 miles) a few months about. I start noticing the noise around 40mph and at high speeds(65-70 ISH) It goes away. While poking around tonight I found that the back drivers tire is wore a lot more than the right. Also I wiggled the drivers side CV joint and it moves in and out. Also there seemed to be a little "gunk" built up around it. I'm taking it in this weekend for a transmission fluid change and going to have them look at it.

View 8 RepliesI have noticed new drivers seat squeak. It only happens with weight transfer side to side at lower speeds ( hard right and hard left below 30 mph, or entering a driveway). I have looked at several posts and it seems like people have had luck with simply tightening the bolts for the seat.
Well I did that and it still making the noise. I have isolated the noise to the lower part of the seat right behind the molding. Behind the molding and behind the seat control switches there is a white box for the switches. It seems like the noise is coming from there. I noticed that if I pop off the control switches and I loosen the screws for the control switches the noise gets a touch better.
I took it to the dealership and they told me they tried to add some oil between the leather and the molding but it did nothing since the source seems to be behind the molding.
I would like to know if its possible to replace the regular driver seat with power seat in my 09 camry. I do see some cables lying in the bottom?

As I want to use the electrical mirrors to adjust my driver side mirror, passenger side mirror moves too. Is it possible that these faults caused by not coded ECU?
I connected ground wire of my LED to blue and black cable connected to the mirror and ran another wire from unit 10 in 16 pin door connector to live wire from my LED.
