I am having some difficulties with the stereo in my 03 W12.
Suddenly it stopped working.
When i press the cd button - I get a message that says that there is no cd player avaliable. When i press the radio button - I cant see any stations and there is no sound.
One of my taillights stopped functioning last night on my drive home. The "check lights" message came up on screen, accompanied by a loud warning chime. However, it wouldn't stop. It kept flashing "check lights" over and over, and kept repeating the chime every few seconds for my entire ride home.
This morning, everything seems to be OK. The taillight is still out, but it's not chiming repeatedly (at least for now). What caused my Phaeton to freak out like that?
I've had the Dension Ice Link plus for my iPod for about a year and a half and it has worked flawlessly. Two days ago, though, the radio now reads that there is "no CD player" when I try to use it. I called Dension support and after a few other diagnostic procedures, the tech asks me to reset the radio by pulling the fuse. I wait a couple minutes with the fuse out and every single wire detached from the radio. When I reconnect, the radio is not reset. So I try again, this time for over 1/2 hour; still no reset.

Also, when I input an address and it gives me 3 options (Quick, Alternate etc) the 3 options are greyed out and it will only go to Quick.
View 4 RepliesThe OEM DVD player in my '04 started having problems with occasionally displaying a disc format error across the screen. The movie usually still plays, but the lettering is stays on the screen. If you go back through the menus it will sometimes go away or you just have to eject and reload the DVD. Now it does it pretty much everytime we turn the player on.
View 8 RepliesI just bought a 2010 LX and tonight I discovered that I may be able to play a digit copy DVD. So, the kids jumped in the car and inserted one of their movies(not Blu Ray) and we can only hear it. All we see in the video box is a blue screen.
View 5 RepliesI have a 2000 passat 1.8T and the ABS light and brake light comes on and shortly after the "stop, break fault "message shows up. The warning does not come on every time I drive the car only sometimes. Brake fluid has been topped off and everything else seems fine. Is it a bad sensor somewhere? Something else maybe?
My check engine light is also on and the code is p0118. I replaced the engine coolant temperature sensor but I still get the code. Was there some secret way to replace it that I didn't know about? Something else I should check?
Went to the market, and my 2010 Prius II with 56K miles won't start.
Display works with the "Hybrid System Warning" message, but nothing else works.
I installed rvc couple of months ago. When I put in reverse, only shows straight yellow lines on screen. Is there any way to activate to lines turn with steering wheel (like cars with parking sensors)? I was wondering if there is Vag_com trick available for this option.

View 7 RepliesMy TPMS display shows everything ok but with pressures = 0. VAG-COM shows everything is ok, with each sensor showing a non-zero pressure matching my own manual readings. The controller self-diagnosis didn't show any problems. I've rebooted the car a few times, to no effect. Should I initiate a learning cycle?
View 9 RepliesHave an early 2004 US Phaeton with the smaller sound system. Everything works normally on the system, but when putting some commercial CD's into the player can yield some really nasty clipping (clicking on drum-beats or other high-frequency sound) on the loudest sections. The clipping only occurs on the loudest sections, irrespective of how high the volume control is, and it only occurs when listening to the CD.
This is either a defect in the digital/analog converter in my particular unit, or it's a design defect with the whole series. For techies, the highest bit (#15) in the D/A is feeding an overload signal into the analog path of both channels. This symptom also could occur on CD's you burn yourself if you tend to record your CD's really loud (right up to the limit of CD dynamic range).
I just changed the battery in my 07 Camry with factory installed navigation system and now my whole radio/navigation system is DEAD.
I ejected and reinstalled DVD in NAV system and it has no effect. The ON/OFF button on radio does not turn radio on. Error message on screen is 'No DVD - Please insert MAP DVD. I have checked the radio fuse and it is OK.
I always try to save gas in my Prius so I hit the Ev button whenever I'm in the target parking lot. Overall my Fuelly is 51.9 mpg. Today when I got into the car I hit my Ev button and it said "battery too low". Do you think my car is starting to have problems? I also hit the power control a lot too.
View 7 RepliesOn occasion, on the power generation screen, I see just the motor applying power to the wheels. this only lasts about 2-3 seconds and I can't see any pattern to it (speed, going down grade, cold, warm etc). Is this normal?

Why this is happening all of a sudden? It was working fine until recently.. how do I fix it?
