Phaeton :: ABS Light Does Not Illuminate When ABS Active

Like the title says - when the ABS is active on my car, the ABS annunciator light in the tachometer face does not illuminate. I know that there is no problem with the light itself, because the light 'proofs' when I start the car. There is also no functional problem with the ABS, it works perfectly.

I have a 2004 V8, and now that it's a bit darker in the mornings and evenings, I've noticed that the dome lights ahead of the sunroof do not illuminate when I open the door. Strangely, the dome light over the back seat illuminates when either the front or rear door is opened. Any way to get the illumination in the front of the car? The lights work fine when operated manually, by the way.

Airbag light came on. Finally got a scan tool that will read it. Comes up with an active code of B1481 (Driver's airbag 2nd stage resistance too high). The scan tool shows 1st stage resistance at 2.6 ohms and 2nd stage at 6.6 ohms. My understanding is that it could be a faulty airbag or clock spring. How to further diagnose the condition?

Just wondering if RC owners have noticed if the memory setting buttons on the drivers door panel forward of the door lock illuminate in low light conditions. I could swear they were illuminated at one time but now are not..

I just installed a Tekonsha Envoy trailer brake. I bought the VW wiring pieces and connected it to the factory under-dash plug. The problem is that when this is connected and the trailer is hooked up the green light should illuminate on the Envoy controller. When I have the trailer hooked up, there are no lights lit and the trailer brake unit just seems dead. This is a brand new Envoy.

1995 Lumina LS 3.1L w/ ~185K mi
A few weeks back, the amber ABS light would periodically illuminate and then became more frequent until it was On every time I used the car. The light only comes on after driving the car forward ~10-20ft. Recently in the past few days, the red brake light also started coming on at the exact same time as the amber ABS light. I can start up the car and idle, backup, and then as soon as I drive forward 10-20ft., both lights simultaneously illuminate, along with the sound of something that is engaging/closing/switching etc. coming from the front driver's side, maybe where the brake module is located. The sound coincides with the illumination of the lights. There is also absolutely no noticeable difference in braking.
I just changed the oil a couple days ago and the fluid level was good and appears to have not moved at all since I flushed the lines ~2.5yrs. ago. I cannot recall if I returned the pistons to the home position back then, but either way I was able to bleed all 4 lines.
What may be causing both lights to illuminate together when the car moves forward in addition to coinciding with a sort of clunking/engaging noise coming from the front driver's side?
If I have to replace the EBCM, then do I need a scan tool?
I already called Module Master and they do not rebuild any GM EBCMs built before 1999. Looks like Rock Auto has some though.

I have an APR stage 2+ R with 70k miles and have been getting strange CELs recently. What is going on. Here is what happens:
1st- a ding a ECS fault displays in mfd.
2nd- a ding and ABS fault lights up
3rd- airbag light and tire pressure lights illuminate
4th- steering wheel light illuminates.
5th- all lights disappear after a few minutes, except the airbag light.
Car drives fine and lights do not illuminate upon restart. The light show appears randomly usually a day or two later.

My 2004 F150 has a weird bug related to the seat belt sensor - it only reads the seat belt condition when the truck is first started, then ignores it the rest of the time. Not a big deal so long as I remember to buckle up before starting it. I tried to do the routine of turning off the chime, but because it doesn't read the seatbelt condition after the key is in the run position, it can't be performed. Likewise, if I start the truck buckled up and then unbuckle once its running, the seatbelt light does not illuminate on the dash. Certainly an easy enough work around, though rather odd. It's not a symptom of anything else, is it?

The little green light on my Parking brake button does not illuminate when i push the button to let me know if its on and I am also getting a message on my dash saying Check Parking brake system and have vehicle checked by a dealer. So warming up around here and and my fiance brings to my attention that the AC is not working in her GS. I fumbled around a bit and found that the fuse in engine compartment is good, ac light does illuminate in climate display, freon is at approx 80psi on low side, and the air does in fact never get the least bit cool. It seems as though the compressor never turns on, now I know that these cars wont kick on if they sense low pressure in the system but it is full.... also swapped ac relay out to no avail

On my way home from work today I could not believe my eyes when the Hybrid Warning Light came on…yes, the RED TRIANGLE! I was just cruising down the highway and I heard a relay click and then I saw the warning light illuminate. Also I noticed the A/C air started warming up, the fan stayed on though, so I am guessing the computer shut off the compressor?

I am trying to replace the rear light bulb (top of two) on the passenger side. It doesn't illuminate when I press the brake. What kind of light bulb does it take?? There is a removable compartment but I am having a hard time removing the harness where the bulbs are located . I see two clips but I still can not pull it out to access the defective bulb.

2007 f250 4x4 shift on fly will not work. switch to 4x4 high light will not illuminate and it will not go into 4x4. i have tried in park, in neutral, rolling are stopped. both lights work when you turn ignition key to on.

About a week ago my active wing stopped working. I was on the highway, it was up and functioning as usual. when I got to my destination, got out and locked the car I noticed the spoiler was still up. Usually in Auto mode it has retracted long before you come to a complete stop.
Here is what I have done and/or how it is behaving:
The wing button stays lit.
Holding the button for 3 seconds causes the light to go out momentarily but it then come back on.
On the cluster display it shows the wing up and in green (makes sense since it is up)
In the Menu settings, deactivating the wing and re-activating it does not work.
re-initializing the settings does not work either.
No errors appear anywhere in the car/displays.
These are essentially the things the dealer did as well before taking it back to the tech. They then ran a diagnostics and said that there is an active fault code (did not tell me which one) leading them to believe it is either the switch or the motor. However, since this is the first RC-F they have had with an issue they said there was a certain field technician that would need to come look at the car and guide them on next steps. Until then it's still in the up position which is not horrible but it does certainly bug me that with only 600 miles on the clock I've already encountered an issue.

My girl just purchased a 2012 GTI and noticed her brake assist is not active when at a complete stop. I have a 2011 GTI and my brake assist is active when releasing the brake and starting off in first gear. How I can activate this for her as she is still new at driving manual?

I've had my R32 for a week now and I'm starting to develop some questions. This is one that I haven't been able to find an answer to by searching, so here it goes. When the ABS is active (coming to a hard stop on snow and ice, for example), I get a really strange almost "crunchy" feel through the brake pedal. ABS I've experienced on other cars hasn't been this harsh so I'm not sure if it's normal on these.

Today check lights came on for active suspension, brakes and engine. I lost regen braking but normal brakes worked fine. I switched the engine on and off and the lights cleared and regen brakes worked again. When I checked the codes with Scangauge it said 27 pending codes but only gave me P0001 (Fuel Volume) , B2600, and B2501.

Have a problem starting Mk7 gti. My car won't start or shuts down and get a message in the display says immobilizer active. Had it towed to the dealer sat overnight and problem started up the next day. They drove it around most of the day and when I picked it up it wouldn't stay started or start and same message on the display came up.
