I am in the process of bringing a 2005 back to life! I have no heat or AC and am finding out that the climate control module is corrupt.

View 1 RepliesI'm wondering if there is a 100% way to check and see if my climate control module is bad. No lights work on it, it doesn't turn on the ac or the blower. I took it off it all seems to be decent from what I can tell. But its just not working.
View 1 RepliesI just have a quick question.. I have a 2004 v8, and every time I start my car the climate control comes on, I tried to put in auto and manual. How do you turn it off, so it will only come on when you want it to...not during every start up?
View 2 RepliesMy car was in the shop for 3 1/2 months. When it went in the power trunk worked perfectly. While it was there the comfort battery died and was replaced by the dealer. Since I got it back I've discovered that the trunk no longer functions properly. The trunk control module doesn't seem to remember the coding. Now, based on advice from VW of America, the dealer wants to replace the trunk control module and charge me approximately $750 to do so. I'm left with the question of whether the failure is coincidental and my responsibility or was inadvertently caused by the dealer through some type of voltage surge or something like that?
View 12 RepliesMy transmission control module has gone bad, resulting in the car being in"limp" mode. I am advised not to drive the car in this condition as it starts out in 3rd and the transmission will be damaged. Thus far, my local dealer has, on a preliminary basis, been advised that there are none of these parts available anywhere in the world according to the computer and VW may have to manufacture one. This does not sound possible. Meanwhile, the dealer says no rental car will be offered so I am contacting VW North America to escalate. It could be up to a month to get a new part. Meanwhile, the car is in the garage just sitting.
View 7 RepliesMy TPMS control module stop, working after resetting it.. Is there a way to fix it or do I need to buy a new unit.
View 2 RepliesAfter sorting all other problems and making my car a nice LPG W12 version of the Phaeton, I would now like to face another problem I am finding related to the ADR (auto distance regulation) or auto cruise control.
Nearly 90% of the times I start the car, after a couple of minutes a warning shows up saying the ADR is defective. If I turn the car off the message disappears and after a few minutes it comes up again.
Sometimes it does not show up and then the system works fine until I start the car again. I have tried an overnight charge of the left battery with no success. The vagcom shows the following error when the ADR shows as defective.

I have a 2005 Eddie Bauer 4X4 with the 6.0 and Automatic Temperature Control. I need a new blower motor control module, and have been confused by what I have been able to find online. What is the full Motorcraft part number, or other information so I can get one.
View 2 RepliesDiscovering where my cruise control module is located on my 05 Excursion. . . I've looked at all of the pictures showing that it should be right in front of the a/c unit, underneath the vacuum pump, but on both my 04 and my 05 Excursions, there is nothing to be found on that location. Where the bugger can be located.
View 2 RepliesMy '05 XLE has a small problem (I think). Had the car for just over a year and yesterday noticed that when I choose the defrost mode there is no indicator on the control panel to show it's in that mode. All the other function positions have indicator icons to show what mode is selected.
I don't use the defrost only mode very often and now wonder if it never worked since I've owned it or if there isn't an indicator for defrost mode. Isn't there an indicator for that mode?
I have a 2006 Toyota Avalon XLS. In the past few weeks the climate control has started to flicker. everything seems to work ok, climate wise. alternator was replaced last fall. Where to start on this? Or what to look for?
View 11 RepliesAnother issue just cropped up with my 2006 Avalon....
On startup, the front button on the climate control flashes for several seconds. The system will not heat on the left side, but the right will.
My battery want stay charged in my Mercury. I want to know if the light control module could cause it to drain....
View 2 RepliesMy 2005 Ford F-150 Lariat 4x4 5.4l V8. the climate control system will not let me lower the fan speed or let me change the airflow direction. and my heated seats will not work as well.. i looked at the fuse it was good.. and un-plugged the battery for 3 minutes.
View 2 RepliesI have a 05 Avalon XLS and I've just discovered an issue with my climate control. It's that time of year that things are warming up so we started using A/C and found that driver's side vents are blowing warm air while passenger side vents are blowing cold. I've tried varied temps and dual mode on and off as well as auto and manual control. Nothing makes a difference. I suspect some sort of thermostat for the driver's side, but I really have no clue.
View 1 RepliesI have a 2005 6.0 f350 lariat... My climate control doesn't switch very well I can get it to go to floor sometimes after 15min of pressing the button. The vacuum pump is good the tank has no cracks. I feel that the system is either plugged up or has a leak. I cleaned the tank after my hub seals went and it sucked a ton of dust and dirt through my wheel bearings in to the tank. Is the vacuum switching part of the digital display? Or is there a separate part?
View 1 RepliesMy 2005 Ford F250 6.0 diesel CLIMATE CONTROL DEFAULTS TO DEFROST mode all the time now. For some reason I'll turn on the AC and it is either already in defrost or changes to it no matter what I do. Is the head unit in the dash the problem or is it a vacuum leak or an electrical issue?
View 2 RepliesHow to fix SES P0670?? I understand there's a whole procedure on checking fault.
P0670:GPCM Glow plug control module control line failure. Open/grounded circuit, open/shorted GPCM, failed PCM
But how did you resolve problem? replaced GPCM, found open circuit, short --if so where?-- or replaced with updated harness.
(4C3Z-12B568-AA connector upgrade kit as in picture)???
Recently had battery changed and now when I go to turn on my air and push climate it says access to air conditioning temporarily not possible.
View 7 RepliesHad I to break into my gas cap, replacing the module? is it ok to buy a used one? My door locks quit working too. the same module right?
